GOD There are many understandings of the oft used word God.

a. God is nothing but a sentiment of the less intelligent. Thats because there is no such thing as God; only cowards use it as a fall-back mechanism for their pathetic lethargic laziness and failures.

[With long-term sustained deeper interest when it comes to studying things around us, one may discover that they are unable to maintain a high enthusiasm level for extended periods. In order to reconcile this limitation of ones own intellectual capacity, one may look for solace by thinking that it is useless to inquire into the cause and the process of existence. Thus this category of persons feel comfort by denouncing those who choose to study things in a systematic manner.]

b. Some refer to that as God which is ultimately timeless, with no beginning and no end.

[NOTE: Here God refers to the one who existed before the beginning of time and will continue to exist after the end of the time.]

c. Some understand God to be the fountainhead and the summation of all that there can be.

[God = Sum total of all that exists and will exist, including all time and space.]

d. Non-philosophers attribute the term God to anything or anyone that personifies or represents greatness, power, attraction, amazement, uniqueness or respect.

[NOTE: Here they or that is termed as God which has a beginning in time and space and necessarily must have an end too. i.e., the cosmos was already in existence when this so-called God came into existence and the cosmos will continue to remain in existence long after this God disappears from measurable existence. Eg, A popular sports star, Ones own parents, A respectable teacher, An entertainer, A powerful person, An automobile, An experience, A feeling, A belief etc.]

e. Some use the word God to refer to the big unknown.

[All that which cannot be conceived of by the human mind, for convenience sake is put under this category.]

f. Some use the word God to refer to the Ultimate Energy or the Absolute Truth

[Those who are bestowed with lesser capacity of intelligence, unable to dwell into the finer details when attempting to understand the root-cause of everything prefer to stay away from thinking about it by using abstract terms like Ultimate Energy, Absolute Truth etc.]

g. The polytheists attribute the position of God to those who are inconceivably more powerful than them.

[For a peon, the desk clerks, the steno, the receptionist, the interns, the managers etc. are all higher in position than him. Understanding his own lower position he offers respect to all superiors for he understands that all of them could individually put him in trouble if they really wanted to and they can also make his life easier if he manages to remain in their good books. So for this peon, each one of them is a God like figure. So here the term God was used for anyone who can make our life difficult or easier. Hindus sometimes refer to these entities as devi-devtas.]

h. Then there are those who drag down God from the position of the Eternal-Master to the position of their personal servant, believing that Gods sole duty is to be exclusively available whenever and wherever they want for answering doubts or providing whatever they need or desire. Thus in these circles, they behave like the Master and God is seen as a surrendered menial servant who exists only to serve.

[eg, of taking God to be the Universal Servant: Dear God, please heal my mother. Dear God, please make me rich. Dear God, please make me pass my exams. Dear God, please get my Visa application approved. Dear God, please make this world a better place for all to live.]

i. The wise understand God to be the Supreme in every respect and aspect. i.e., God is that which has no equal and no superior.

[If there is anyone or anything equal or superior to that what was thought to be God, then this so called God cannot be the Supreme and thus was only mistakenly thought to be God!]

j. The Vedic sages attribute the quality of Supremely Attractive One to whom they refer as God.

(i.e., the One who attracts everyone. To them, whatever the word God represents, just simply cannot be ignored even by those who fully oppose it. An extreme example is: The Atheists must first recognize the concept God and the word God before rejecting the same! They have to say, I do not accept or believe in God. They cannot say, I do not accept or believe in and go silent. They have to, have to, have to use the word G-O-D and thus offer recognition to the concept or authority that the word represents!) Vedic Philosophy observes that God is one who must be all attractive and upon detailed research they found that ultimately there are only 6 qualities that create a sense of attraction in anyones mind. (All other qualities other than these are either from or another variation of these six) These attributes are:

1) Strength, 2) Fame, 3) Wealth, 4) Knowledge, 5) Beauty, and 6) Renunciation.

i.e., anyone with any substantial amount of any of the above six attributes becomes a person who appears attractive to many.

According to the Vedic understanding, God being All Attractive must then necessarily have these six attributes to the fullest.

(One may say, God is not human, so God doesnt have any attributes. Well, the answer to this is: Since God is the source of everything, He must be the source of these attributes also. Thus since these attributes come from God, it is only natural to conclude that God has these attributes.)

<You can give 10 Rupees, only if you have 10 or more Rupees. If you didnt have 10 Rupees, you cannot give 10 Rupees. These came from God, so God necessarily must have these attributes!> <if you say, everything comes from God, but these attributes dont, then you are saying that God is not God because God lacks something as God is not the origin of everything that there is!>

So, God then is That Who in Absolute sense, is complete in all these six attributes.

1) Strength, 2) Fame, 3) Wealth, 4) Knowledge, 5) Beauty, and 6) Renunciation.

1. He is all strong. He is the strongest. There is no one more stronger than Him.

2. He has maximum fame. You may be famous, I may be famous, Mohammad Ali might be famous, but God is One Who is the most famous at all times and in all places!

3. He is the wealthiest. You may own certain wealth, someone else might own more wealth. But no one other than God can claim that all wealth anywhere at all points of time is owned solely and exclusively by God Himself. In fact just like the tenant may say that the house is his, yet the house actually is the owners, similarly everyones wealth is actually at all times Gods wealth alone, thus no one can ever surpass the wealth of God. So, in conclusion if anyone is to be referred to as God, then he must first demonstrably prove that he is the ever wealthiest at all times. (plus he must be complete in his ownership of the other 5 attributes at the non relative Absolute level as well.)

4. God is the most Knowledgeable. All knowledge that ever existed and will ever exist must be available with God at all times. God must be That Who is the source of the entire gamut of knowledge that can ever be conceived by anyone at any cosmic point of time and beyond. Thus it is not far fetched to say that the entirety of Absolute and Relative Knowledge is God Himself and thus the purpose of all knowledge must be to understand God, know God, love God and serve God. From God, Knowledge emanates.

Conclusion: God alone is the source, the creator, the knower and the knowable.

5. Beauty: The concept of beauty finds its conception within God. It is observed that, that which is beautiful is so because it is Gods! In the deeper, detailed and ultimate sense, Beauty is not relative, but is Absolute. The conception of Beauty cannot exist without the presence of God. God is beautiful and from Him alone emanates the very conception of beautifulness. Thus God is All Beautiful.

When poetically describing the beauty of anything or anyone who is beautiful, one may go on elucidating the grandeur and depth of that beauty in exponential flowery metaphors. But then soon will come a time when the speaker himself will stop believing in that high glorification. Eg, we may say, your eyes are effulgent like 10,000 moons, or 50 million moons or one thousand billion moons, but very soon we will ourselves say, oh come-on, that is not possible! Thus we see that in

describing the beauty of anyone, there is a limitation, but when it comes to describing the attributes of God, one is never flustered with any limitation! That is God!

6. Renunciation. God created this amazing beautiful universe and He renounced it! He is nowhere to be seen! :)

Well, that was joke, but all one needs to do is meditate on any conceivable topic a bit and one will immediately realize the extent of Gods renunciation! He is not at all attached to His marvelous creations! Eg., While flying in an airplane, on suddenly looking out of the window we might be awestruck by the color and arrangement of the clouds, the sky, the rainbow and the mountains. If we had not looked out, no one would have even noticed it, and yet God keeps creating amazing wonderful momentarily manifest unique sceneries in all conceivable and inconceivable places, at all times even though there is no audience to appreciate it including He Himself! That, is renunciation at its maximum!

===

Now that we have some understanding about Who or What can be addressed as God, it is time to get honest! :)

Who is not God? 1. Anyone who is born is not the Supreme Creator God.

Did the world exist before Sai Baba? There are enough evidences to believe that indeed it did. Thus Sai Baba cannot be the Supreme creator.

Did Sachin Tendulkar's Grandfather exist before Sachin Tendulkar existed? Well, thus to apply the word "God" to Sachin Tendulkar is disgustingly offensive.

God, being the cause of all causes and the ultimate fountainhead, is your and mine true father. When we hear proclamations of someone supposedly to be our father, while that person is actualy not, it does boil the blood of those who arent bastards, but are truly aware of the identity of thier original father.

One's own father and mother too can't be referred to as "God" since they have not created the mountains, the planets, astroids, the sun and the moon, plus unlile the True God, they have insufficient knowledge, limited wealth, strength, fame, beauty, renunciation and invariably they will die.

God cannot be "energy" because energy by definition cannot exist independent of the energeticsource.

God, by definition, is the cause of all causes and thus the responsible factor for any change. However in observed reality, energy is never held responsible for any effect. If a stone hits your head, you dont hold the kinetic energy responsible, instead you hold the source of that energy, the person who threw that stone, responsible. Thus energy cannot be "God" as energy is never responsible, however the source of energy must be the "God."

When we say, "energy" immediately those bestowed with superior intelligence will ask, "whose energy?" The answer will be, "God's energy!"

Thus, energy cannot be the original, independent and the fountainhead God.

Hindus may say Ganapati is God, but then Ganapati has a mother who is superior to Ganapati. Anyone who has a superior cannot be referred to as the Supreme God.

Parvati Devi or Durga Devi too has a superior, their master and Lord - Lord Shiva. Thus she can't be the Supreme either.

Lord Shiva himself too is seen chanting and meditating on his prayer beads, thus himself demonstrating that there is someone who is superior to him and that he himself is not actualy the independent Godhead.

The popular culture claims that we all are God in the sense that we are urged to awaken or reconnect to our potential or forgotten unlimited divinity.

We did see that God by defination is one Who has no equal and no superior, thus has to be only ONE. God cannot be more than one. There cannot be multiple Gods.

Also if God forgets his Godhood, then how was he God in the first place? What happened to God being omniscient?

If all of us are the same one God, then I being in illusion or forgetfulness immediately proves that the entirety of God is in illusion and forgetfullness as the entirety is non differeng from me! Moreover how did I the complete universal God get divided in so many delusioned gods? None of this makes sense. We know that which does not make sense is known as nonsense. Thus the proposal that we all are God or Gods is irrevocably proven to be nonsense. :) Just like in the court of law, for every claim one needs to produce documentation, similarly for every claim of being God, documentation needs to be provided. Multitude of scriptures give evidence that Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is the self same Avatari (fountainhead Godhead) Sri Krishna Himself Who appears to teach mankind about Himself (Sri Krishna).

It is like, when a teacher writes "A B C D" on a blackboard, one should not think that the teacher does not know, that is why the teacher is practising how to write, but instead one must understand that the teacher is writing in order to teach the students how to write.

Similarly who can teach about God?

Only one who knows God.

Who knows God completely?

Only God Himself knows Himself completely.

Thus who is qualified to teach about God?

God Himself.

So when God (Sanskrit: Sri Krishna) appears to teach mankind about Himself, He is celebrated as Sri Krishna Chaitanya (Chaitanya = Supreme Consciousness) Mahaprabhu (Maha prabhu = The Great Lord).

Vedic Conclusion: Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is the self same Sri Krishna who is the Avatari (the source of all Avatars of Godhead) but as Sri Krishna Chaitanya, He teaches mankind the knowledge about Himself (God.Sri Krishna).

=====

As far as Ramkrishna is concerned, there is no documentation in the Vedic literatures that support the claim of him being God. In fact his activities demonstrate his lack of understanding of the very meaning of God. No, he is not God
