Master’s thesis: “Excavating the Wall between East and West: An Analysis of Russian and Western
Theory and Methodology in Prehistoric Archaeology” under the direction of Dr. Marina Mogilner of
the American Association of Slavic Studies and Dr. Sergey A. Vasil’ev, of the Russian Academy of
Sciences at the Institute of Material Culture, St. Petersburg, Russia.

The Paleolithic/Paleoindian migration of Siberia and the Russian Far East to North America with an
emphasis in effigy and lithic tool comparisons between Eurasian and North American materials.

Late Archaic human remains and dwelling structures of the Calusa, Tequesta and Tainos cultures in
the state of Florida, USA and Eleuthera Island, The Bahamas.

Field Experience

Project Archaeologist with an independent contract for the development of the Atkins-Johnson Farm
in Gladstone, MO. Project included an initial Phase I survey for improvements in water-pipe and
handicap compliance for a mid 19th Century Farmstead and a Phase II location and identification of
the complex’s outbuildings. March-Present 2011.Restoration is on-going; please contact the Friends

Field Archaeologist with a specialization in: Phase I-III archaeological surveys, human remains
excavation, and lithic and ceramic analysis/preservation at Public Archaeology Laboratory Inc.,
Pawtucket, RI. Summer and Fall work sessions for: August-December 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and

wetland field experience in a variety of seasons.

Aboriginal cultures from the Archaic-Late Glades III period in the Southeast United States.

Historic burials and lithic technology identification in southern New England.

Faunal remains excavation and analysis with extensive attention given to marine mammals and fish,
reptiles and small rodents in the Southeast United States.

Comparative analysis of traditional myths for the aboriginal peoples of the Canadian Maritime
Provinces (Micmac) with Siberian indigenous peoples.
