! loha & Mele Kalikimaka (Merry Christmas) we trust that you are all
doing well. It's hard to believe that Christmas is just a few weeks away! Where did the time go? I love Christmas; it is my absolute favorite time of year! John 3:16-17 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." This is the true meaning of Christmas, the celebration of this incredible act of love. Jesus could have remained in Heaven, to be worshiped and adored, to rule and to reign. Instead of doing so, He willingly came to earth to die on the cross to pay the punishment for our sin so we could have a way, the ONLY way to spend eternity with Him. What a wonderful picture of love, humility, sacrifice and true servant hood! It is so easy to get caught up in the holiday that we forget to remind ourselves of this incredible act of love. However, as we celebrate this Christmas, let us not forgot what He has done and share this love with others. Thank you for the love that you have shown to our family through out the year. We love and appreciate each and every one of you and are very thankful for you and your part on our team. A very Merry Christmas to you and your family and a blessed and prosperous New Year. 2 Corinthians 9:15 Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

@ e long for the day we can report to you that we are at

100% support. We are still at 44%, but after taxes and administrative fees for the ministry we drop below that. It has and continues to be both a joy and a challenge to raise support. We continue to learn patience and grow in our faith, as we trust Him each month to provide. We have not had any new supporters since our last newsletter, but we are trusting the Lord to provide more soon. We cannot thank you enough for your support of our ministry. Thank you for your faithfulness in giving and for the occasional love gifts that come at just the right time. If you are not currently on support team, will you consider giving $10 or $25 a month or any other amount that the Lord is leading you to give? Your monthly gift will get us one step closer to being at 100% and will allow us to continue our work here. All gifts are tax deductible. Cheques can be made payable to CEF of Hawaii with Account #RH on the memo line. If you have any questions on giving please feel free to contact me via email at ricardo.hosein@cefhawaii.com or by phone at 808.347.8111. Mahalo nui loa for your support.

! fter the summer months of ministry there was an

expectation that things would slow down a little, but that was not the case, ministry just kept going! I have had a lot of correspondence with Principals, District Superintendents, Pastors and Christians concerning the ministry. The Lord has allowed me to start 2 more clubs, one on Oahu and another on Maui. Another school has been opened and I will be working to get this new club started in mid January 2014. The club on Maui, starting with 3 children, grew to the 12 the following week and now has 30 students enrolled. 12 Students have prayed to receive Christ in this club. Praise the Lord! The Good News Club teacher sent me this email, One parent brought her 4th grader to club yesterday. *John prayed to receive Jesus as his Lord & Saviour. It was so exciting to see Johns face when he accepted Jesus. He said, that was the best prayer Ive ever prayed! What a great testimony of how the Lord is working. I was also privileged to lead a Good News Club training for 8 Christians at a local church on Oahu. We use the wordless book as a tool for sharing the Gospel and I shared with the group how to use it to minister to the

children. On the last day of training one of the ladies sent me this email: "Ricardo, I wanted to let you know that when I got home this afternoon, I used the wordless book and led the little girl I was babysitting to the Lord. She was very excited to start using the CEF devotional. She said she would be coming to church with us in the morning. Praise the Lord!" And this little girl did go to church the next morning and continues to go! In one of our clubs, for our missions segment, the teachers decided to do Operation Christmas Child. Each week children learned about missionaries and then about the shoebox ministry. On the last day of Club, the children all got together and wrote notes for their shoeboxes and packed 2 boxes each for a child somewhere in the world this Christmas. It was

a lot of fun for these clubbers and the teachers as well. I have also been filling in as an interim Childrens Pastor for a Korean Church in Honolulu. I teach at 2 of their services and have the opportunity to minister to a great group of children. A few Sundays ago; there was an opportunity to pray with 4 children to receive Christ. On one of these weeks I prayed with two girls to receive Christ. At the end they both said a thank you prayer. One of the little girls as she prayed said "Jesus I want to be with you forever. Thank you for forgiving me. Amen." Such a simple prayer, but just a reminder that kids can understand the message of salvation and truly believe in our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

A ooking back at the past year and seven months,

there basically was no ministry that CEF had that was consistent. We wondered where we would start and what we were supposed to do. I have been taken from challenge to challenge, to periods of dismay wondering if there would be growth in the ministry of CEF Hawaii. However, the Lord has been always good and He has brought this ministry so far in just the past 19 months. The Lord has allowed me to start 4 out of 6 active clubs in the state with one more starting in January. These 4 clubs reach over 110 children each week with the gospel. Over 40 have prayed to receive Christ in the

past few months. Over 60 have received their first Bible. To Him Be Glory! There are certainly challenges that remain, but the future offers tremendous potential as long as we keep our focus on Him who will guide and direct us in all things. As we look forward to the coming new year 2014, we are trusting the Lord to do even greater things in this ministry and we are excited to see what that will look like. Ephesians 3:20 Glory belongs to God, whose power is at work in us. By this power he can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine.

D'-(.')E.F0.%&) >hank you for praying for our family. There is

definitely power in prayer and many of the needs we had for Gods provision for our family, for our ministry and for doors to be opened to share the Gospel was a result of prayer. Thank you. If you would like to pray for our family and receive periodic emails on prayer requests, please call or text me at 808.347.8111 or email me at ricardo.hosein@cefhawaii.com. Mahalo for your continued prayer for us. For Gods continued financial provision For good health and strength for our family The salvation & protection of our children Timothy, Annikah & Esther. The salvation of the children & people of Hawaii For Gods favor as we advance the ministry For our fellow missionaries Matt & Stacey Walton, Tim & Mari Dekle and Ms. Maureen Finnegan

G ur family is doing well. Timothy

celebrated his 5th birthday in October. He is homeschooled and attends Classical Conversations, a Christian homeschool group with other children his age. He learns Math, English, Latin, Science, Geography, Music and History. He also attends Good News Clubs with me and Sparks each week where he learns and hears the Word. He enjoys playing with his friends in our neighborhood, fishing, playing at the beach and watching his favorite kid shows. Annikah will celebrate her 3rd birthday on Dec 23rd. She is our little princess and loves to play, colour, draw and get her nails painted. She also attends Cubbies where she hears and learns Gods Word. Esther is growing so fast. She is now 9 months and sitting up by herself and pulling herself up in her crib. She says mama and dada and has the cutest little smile to make your heart melt. She also started

crawling and is on the verge of getting her first tooth. Kristin stays busy each day homeschooling Timothy and working part-time as the Office Administrator for CEF. She keeps everything well organized and up to date. She is a joy and blessing to our family and me. Apart from CEF, I serve as an overseer at our church, Aloha Community Church which is a church plant of the North American Mission Board and assist with Sunday school for the kids. I also teach at AWANA. We were able to have Kristins parents for a visit during Thanksgiving. It was a nice visit as we were able to spend some quality time with them and of course they loved spending time with the grandkids! I am thankful

that my mom and Keith are here for Christmas. It is the first time I have seen them in almost 2 years and it is their first time seeing Esther. So its definitely a blessing and we are glad to have them.
