! loha & Mele Kalikimaka (Merry Christmas) we trust that you are all
doing well. It's hard to believe that Christmas is just a few weeks away! Where did the time go? I love Christmas; it is my absolute favorite time of year! John 3:16-17 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." This is the true meaning of Christmas, the celebration of this incredible act of love. Jesus could have remained in Heaven, to be worshiped and adored, to rule and to reign. Instead of doing so, He willingly came to earth to die on the cross to pay the punishment for our sin so we could have a way, the ONLY way to spend eternity with Him. What a wonderful picture of love, humility, sacrifice and true servant hood! It is so easy to get caught up in the holiday that we forget to remind ourselves of this incredible act of love. However, as we celebrate this Christmas, let us not forgot what He has done and share this love with others. Thank you for the love that you have shown to our family through out the year. We love and appreciate each and every one of you and are very thankful for you and your part on our team. A very Merry Christmas to you and your family and a blessed and prosperous New Year. 2 Corinthians 9:15 Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

children. On the last day of training one of the ladies sent me this email: "Ricardo, I wanted to let you know that when I got home this afternoon, I used the wordless book and led the little girl I was babysitting to the Lord. She was very excited to start using the CEF devotional. She said she would be coming to church with us in the morning. Praise the Lord!" And this little girl did go to church the next morning and continues to go! In one of our clubs, for our missions segment, the teachers decided to do Operation Christmas Child. Each week children learned about missionaries and then about the shoebox ministry. On the last day of Club, the children all got together and wrote notes for their shoeboxes and packed 2 boxes each for a child somewhere in the world this Christmas. It was
a lot of fun for these clubbers and the teachers as well. I have also been filling in as an interim Childrens Pastor for a Korean Church in Honolulu. I teach at 2 of their services and have the opportunity to minister to a great group of children. A few Sundays ago; there was an opportunity to pray with 4 children to receive Christ. On one of these weeks I prayed with two girls to receive Christ. At the end they both said a thank you prayer. One of the little girls as she prayed said "Jesus I want to be with you forever. Thank you for forgiving me. Amen." Such a simple prayer, but just a reminder that kids can understand the message of salvation and truly believe in our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
past few months. Over 60 have received their first Bible. To Him Be Glory! There are certainly challenges that remain, but the future offers tremendous potential as long as we keep our focus on Him who will guide and direct us in all things. As we look forward to the coming new year 2014, we are trusting the Lord to do even greater things in this ministry and we are excited to see what that will look like. Ephesians 3:20 Glory belongs to God, whose power is at work in us. By this power he can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine.

crawling and is on the verge of getting her first tooth. Kristin stays busy each day homeschooling Timothy and working part-time as the Office Administrator for CEF. She keeps everything well organized and up to date. She is a joy and blessing to our family and me. Apart from CEF, I serve as an overseer at our church, Aloha Community Church which is a church plant of the North American Mission Board and assist with Sunday school for the kids. I also teach at AWANA. We were able to have Kristins parents for a visit during Thanksgiving. It was a nice visit as we were able to spend some quality time with them and of course they loved spending time with the grandkids! I am thankful
that my mom and Keith are here for Christmas. It is the first time I have seen them in almost 2 years and it is their first time seeing Esther. So its definitely a blessing and we are glad to have them.
