Special brackets to ridge rings to stop ridge moving at end hoops Timber to timber joins made with 2 nail plates per joint
Choice of hoop spacing to provide 100mph plus wind speed design Either single or split corner braces All foundation tubes are 30% thicker than the main frame to ensure strength from the ground up End Frames, 100mm x 50mm tanalised timber or steel and aluminium Connections of braces to hoops (also lintel if steel end) via Q clips. Tek screws are used to prevent slippage. Triangle brackets fix braces to horizontal timber to Ali Grip ends We recommend that all tunnels are concreted into the ground.
Hoop to foundation tube locking system with cover tensioning facility for all structures where 'trench and bury' polythene fixing is used
Swaged foundation tubes Always used on the corners and to all hoops when a base rail or side vent is fitted

Doors
Good quality doors are important for ease of access, longevity and to save frustrations! Polybuild manufacture high quality doors as well as ventilation panels in either tanalised timber or galvanised steel. Vent panels are pivoted on special plates and controlled with rope and cleat tie off with tower bolts to close. Hinged Doors are complete with galvanised `T' hinges, handles, tower bolts, drop bolts and auto catches. Sliding Doors are complete with heavy weight aluminium bearing wheels, bottom track, handles and stops combined door track and drip proof heading, ball
Timber Doors
Door panels made from truss grade, planed and tanalised timber, 90mm x 40mm cross section, factory assembled (via mortise and tenon joints) and site clad with 'Correx' rigid polypropylene. Timber framed vent panel 1.15m high x 2.3m wide. Hinged timber doors 1.15m wide x 2.2m high Sliding doors 1.15m wide x 2.2m high.
Steel Doors
Door panels made from box section 32 x 32 galvanised steel (hot dip galvanised after welding / manufacture), and factory clad with 'Biolex' rigid PVC. Doors may also be clad using 10 mm thick polycarbonate top panels and sheet steel bottom panels (or all polycarbonate panels) Single sliding door 1.20m wide x 2.25m high Double sliding doors 2.40m wide x 2.25m high.
Polythene
This tunnel requires the following polythene for cladding:11.1m wide for cladding to a side vent 14m wide for 'trench and bury', base aluminium grip rail and timber base rail Polythene Clear Politherm Luminance Information Ultra violet inhibited clear polythene with a proportional 5 year life guarantee against premature failure `Politherm AF' clear heat retentive and anti-droplet polythene with a proportional 5 year life guarantee against premature failure 'Luminance THB AF' polythene with a proportional 5 year life guarantee. Combines the benefits of Luminance and Politherm AF (i.e. Heat retentive, anti condensation) but also gives a diffused light to reduce scorch). all white woven polythene.60% shade value. Polybuild's flame retardant, reinforced PVC, is anti-wicking, high Ultra Violet treated and fungicide treated self adhesive tape to be fitted to each hoop and ridge(s) of the structure to increase the life of the roof cladding by up to one year. (Tape lasts 6/9 years)
