FEATURES
To control the output level

Variable low pass filter

To match the subwoofer to the main unit. If the main unit is good enough to produce low bass, Min frequency set is preferred. Vice-versa if the main unit cannot produce low bass. The subwoofer will be less directional if frequency setting is at minimum. Dynamic bass boost circuitry is built in to correct the speaker performance at low frequency. This circuitry also can prevent excessive distortion at high level output and excessive speaker cone excursion at very low bass signal. To match the main unit and placement of the subwoofer, phase selector switch will be useful to correct the overall bass enhancement If no input signal available, the subwoofer will automatically switch to standby mode, and back to active mode when signal is detected. If the subwoofer speaker fail by short circuit, or the speaker is changed to much lower impedance or very high mains supply voltage which will create higher voltage swing or higher current drawn by power amplifier, the amplifier is saved by releasing the speaker from the amplifier. The load is removed in the event of excessive heat detected at heat sink. If the power amplifier fails and DC voltage appear at the speaker, DC protection circuit will remove the speaker from loading the amplifier.

1. Firstly dismantle the volume knob. Use a flat head screw driver and insert into the gap between the volume knob and the front panel. Slowly push out the Volume knob. Unscrew the nut from the volume switch. 2. Use a flat head screw driver to remove the front panel. Begin by inserting the screw driver head into the 2 small grooves located at the bottom side of the front panel. Slowly push away the front panel from the wooden board. 3. Take note on the wire placements near the bass pipe. Unscrew the four screws of the front PCB. Dismantle the wire from the PCB and replace the Defective components with new ones. 4. To remount the front PCB and front panel, repeat the above processes but in the reverse action. Remember to place the wires at the location as before.

5. Should the front panel be required to change , use a Philips head screw driver and unscrew the 4 screws from the woofer cover. Dismantle the driver/woofer from the wires. Knock out the bass pipe from the front panel. (from inside of the box) Pull out the front panel from the wooden box. Check that there is a "wordmark already installed on the new front panel before Reinstalling. 6. When remounting, it is advised to apply some glue on the bass pipe to front panel joining area before assembly. Ensure also wires are properly taped to the bass pipe surface.
