Magazine :

• Periodic publishion ( phat hanh dinh ki) per month

• Published in Spanish and English
• Qiute glossy
• Give information about the head office, the president, company strategy and production
methods

The president:
Chairing the meeting:
• Make sure everyone participates
• Ensure that decisions are made today
Organize the meeting:
Ask for each person’s opinion then list on the board, problems are:
• Communication problems within the company worldwide
• Proposed solutions for these problems
• Problems with the magazine
• If you continue publication of the magazine, ways of improving it.

Your point of view:

Delighted with the magazine now, see no reason to change it. It’s very glossy and colorful, has
always greatly interested the workforce. The strong points are your photo (which you’ve managed
to get onto the front cover in four out of five issues published so far), and “ The president speaks”
– your editiorial, or “leader” as you prefer to call it, on the inside cover.

The marketing manager:

-have more contact than anyone else in the company with fellow managers and employees
around the world.
- feel that not enough is done to bring everyone together, to give them a feeling of belonging to a
family, or to create a corporate identity. People need to know what is going on, who does what
and where, who has been appointed to this or that post, and so on.
Problem of magazine: Information is already out of date before it is published.
- Think about insteading something much simpler, less glossy and more informative
- Company news played on video screens in the entrance hall of the staff restaurant would
be useful
- Support the idea of sending news by email.

The personnel manager

- I know clearly about the communication problems with the head office.

- My colleagues want much more information about our own company published in the
magazine such as who does what, what the different subsidiaries work, other countries
and ordinary workers

- I resent if the magazine is only in English and Spanish( because only a minority of
employees speak these languages). At least a page per magazine should be in the local
language or international language like German or French.

- I want a much less glossy publication, more real news, and articles in simple language
about the everyday lives of ordinary employees

- I am pleased to have all those photos of the president removed

The head of information technology

- No one want to read this magazine because there isn’t much real news and the articles
are out of date

- There is a problem of communication with subsidiaries. Employees worldwide need to be

informed of things in the company

- The magazine should be scapped and replaced by weekly pages of news, sent by email
to all employees

- The articles would be short, up to date to be easily stored for future reference,

- It isn’t necessary to send articles in two languages. They could be sent in Spanish or
English
