The Basic Teaching of Illuminationist Philosophy of Shihab al-Din Yahya al-Suhrawardi Shaykh al-Ishraq Muqtul
1. Man is from divine origin and union with God is his ultimate goal. 2. Man should detach himself from the world and seek union with God. 3. Union is possible. 4. God is Omniscient; and man must try to comprehend His qualities. 5. Comprehension of Divine Qualities is possible through self-purification and renunciation. 6. No one can harm a Sufi; and he enjoys the tortures to which he is subjected. 7. To save himself from troubles the Sufi should not express all that is in his ken as only a few can understand those conceptions. 8. One who forgets God forgets everything, and God alone can guide him back to the right path. 9. Divine favours are proportionate to human labours, and the utmost exertions are met with unbounded munificence. 10. God is free from directions. 11. Self-mortification is the only road to self-emancipation. 12. God alone will remain forever; all else is transitory.

GOD
1. There is Just Only One Absolute Reality that is the Essence of GOD. 2. The Godhead is an emanation / emission of seven essentials. a. Essence b. Light of all Lights c. Will of all Wills d. Word of all Words

e. Light of the Heavens and Earths f. Names and Attributes g. Simultaneously Open and Secret There is not Seven Gods but Just Only One Who has seven essential Attributes. All these Attributes are God; as Essence is GOD, Light is God, Will is God, Word is God, Names are God, Attributes are God, and finally Simultaneously Open and Secret is God. For that Light of the Heavens and Earths means the God of the Heavens and Earths. 3. Each and Every thing is emanate / emit from the Essence of GOD and all should destroy except the Godhead. 4. God the Creator, Angels, Prophets etc. and whole creature, all are emanates / emits from the Light of the Heavens and Earths. 5. Those things which are emanate / emit from the Essence of GOD, have a tendency of going back to their root or origin. 6. The emanation / emission of Effulgence is a process which starts with Brightness and ends with Darkness. And going back to the origin is an Illumination process. According to this principal the creation is an emanation / emission process while unification is an Illumination Process.

Angel
1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Angels was emanated / emitted from the Light of the Heavens and Earths. After God they are the second creature of GOD. They are the Image of the Brightness. They are of different ranks and power. Their population is unknowable. They all are the Messengers of GOD. The Holy Spirit is the Brightest Image of God the Brightness. He is also called the Spirit of God. Among the Angles He is the first son of God. 7. All other Angels was created after Him. They are called the Children of God. 8. They have no wife and children. 9. They all are Heavenly Creature made by Light.

Prophet
1. Prophets was also emanated / emitted from the Light of the Heavens and Earths. 2. After God and Angel they are the third creature of GOD. They are the Reflection of the Image of the Brightness. 3. Their population is unknowable. 4. They are also the Messengers of GOD. 5. They are below the Angle in rank and power. 6. They are of same ranks and power. 7. The Logos or the Light of Prophethood is the Brightest Reflection of the Image of God the Brightness. He is also called the Logos of God and the Excellent Light. Among the Prophets He is the first son of God. 8. All other Prophets was created after Him. They are called the Children of God. 9. They all are Heavenly Creature made by Light. 10. They come down in the World in human from and do their duties.

Book / Word of God

1. In the Beginning there was Word, Word was with God and Word was God. 2. The Book / Word of God is the Light of God. This Light make a man illuminate and bright by focusing in that man and finally unify him with the God. The Book / Word of God did not bestow / reveled anywhere except the heart of a perfect man. The Book / Word of God is nothing but the Effulgence / Theophany of God. 3. There is no other Book / Word except the Light or God. 4. When this Light fills and illuminates a human self, heart or spirit that means it is an inspiration or revelation of God, actually which is the theophany. And from God it had bestowed and dwells in that persons life, soul, heart and spirit.

Hereafter
1. After death one shall live their actual life forever in the Heaven or Hell.

Heavens and Hells

1. Anyone whosoever does not achieve Salvation, Heaven or God in his life, he shall not achieve Salvation, Heaven or God in the hereafter. 2. There is no Heaven except the Presence of God in ones life and there is no Hell also, except the Absence of God in ones life.
