Because of the name might think that is true. However, they could not reproduce electronically the complex process of thinking. Currently has built buildings with central control systems that manage their energy, automates activities, improving telecommunications and controls the safety of persons and other work more. So far the scientists know how they relate to each of the 10 billion neurons containing the human brain and, therefore, it is impossible to reproduce in electronic devices. The concept of intelligent building depends on the design principles: flexibility, integration of services, efficient management and preventive maintenance. From this it can be defined as that building that from design to occupancy by the end user, focuses its goal on energy and resource savings. The facility design should incorporate flexibility, which help in building integrated technologies developed in the future, as well as the modification of physical distribution. Such properties are also characterized by security and the operation performed by strict control and preventive maintenance actions. Today, the concept of intelligent building has crossed borders and reached other new construction or remodeling, different from traditional corporate offices, such as hospitals, hotels, banks, museums, parking and smart homes, among others.

b) building systems. They are all facilities that connect a building. Among its components are: air conditioning, heating and ventilation, electrical power and lighting, controllers and wiring, elevators and escalators, security and access control, fire safety and smoke, telecommunications, water facilities, sanitation and flood safety. c) The services of the building. As the name suggests, are the services offered by the building. Among its components are: video communications, voice and data, office automation, boardrooms and shared computing, fax and photocopying area, e-mail and voice security through personal cleanliness, parking, information desk the lobby of the building, ease in changing phones and computer equipment, conference center and auditorium shared, and videoconferencing. d) The management of the building. This refers to the entire operation thereof. Among the variables are: maintenance, inventory management, and energy efficiency reports, trend analysis, management and maintenance of systems and services. The improvement of each of these elements and the inter or coordination between them, is what determines the intelligence of the building.
Degree of intelligence
a) Grade 1. Minimum or basic intelligence. A basic system building automation, which is not integrated. There is an activity automation and telecommunications services, but not integrated. b) Grade 2. Average intelligence. System has a fully integrated building automation. Automation Systems activity without full integration of telecommunications. c) Grade 3. Maximum or total intelligence. The building automation systems, and telecommunications activity, are fully integrated. The building automation system is divided into: basic control system, security system and energy saving system. The basic system is the control that allows you to monitor the status of the facilities, such as: electrical, elevators and escalators, and gas and electricity supplies. The security system protects people, property and information. In the safety of people, systems include smoke and fire detection, gas leaks, water supplies, monitoring equipment for fire suppression, network of sprinklers, automatic smoke extraction, signaling and emergency exits Emergency paging. For safety information or material goods, we have the CCTV, perimeter surveillance, access control, monitoring patrols, emergency intercom, computer security, seismic detector and the presence.
The energy saving system is responsible for the zoned air conditioning, heat exchange between zones, including the exterior, the active and passive use of solar energy, consumer identification, automatic and centralized control of lighting The time control for the operation of equipment, elevator control.
Conclusions
In conducting the research above, we see future trends in engineering and architecture, with all these new advances. Currently there is only architecture for the user, but also to the same building, meaning that with this type of construction is looking for occupants comfort and durability for the building. Given these advances, the architect of today can not be left behind with traditional methods of construction or design. You have to be at the forefront of technology and make the most of, applied in our field. The architects of today must not only stay in the field of design. We have to be pioneers of the architecture of the future and not allow others to do our work. To achieve this it is necessary to obtain more information from all these advances, through magazines, videos, TV, etc..
g) h) i)
