Effective POLICING Effective law enforcement agency with transparent operation protocol and policy. Effective PROSECUTION Offenders should be prosecuted; success stories should be shared. Effective PUNISHMENT Reasonable punishment to deter offenders.
It is not enough to be vigilant; we must be seen to be vigilant as well. Nonetheless, the best way to create a lasting deterring effect is to genuinely be strong.
To reduce the risk of crimes occurring, and their potential harmful effects on individuals and society, including fear of crime.
