Project Overview
This RSA Security, Inc. (RSA) Service Brief details the RSA enVision ES Appliance Migration with Data Migration. This service offering provides the installation of a next generation enVision ES appliance as a replacement for an existing enVision appliance. It includes migration of data and configuration from an older ES environment to a new ES environment. This service also applies to migrations to virtual ES appliances.
Note:
The service migrates data in situations where it implements new storage in conjunction with the new appliance. If it integrates Customer-provided NAS with the new appliance, the Customer must also purchase the RSA enVision NAS Integration with Data Migration service (PS_BAS_ENV_NASWMG) with this offering.
Project Scope
RSA personnel or authorized agents shall be assigned to work closely with Customer staff to perform the following services (Services) within the Term specified above:
Meet with the Customer to ensure that the environment and operational implementation requirements
(hardware, software, and infrastructure) are met by Customer, and provide the Customer with a list of required or beneficial updates.
Perform the Services within the Customers environment as defined in this Service Brief. Plan and schedule the engagements installation and configuration tasks. Ensure appropriate cabling is completed for the appliances, switch, and storage array, if appropriate. Review of NAS configuration, if applicable for conformance with product documentation. Connect the appropriate named interface of the appliance to the switch. Complete configuration of the RSA enVision services to ensure the RSA enVision Packaging and
Collector service will operate with the network attached storage, if appropriate.
Copy the enVision Internet Protocol Database (IPDB) event data from the existing storage location to the
new storage location, if appropriate. Copy the configuration files from the Configuration Source Directory (CSD). Verify the installation and/or configuration results.
Provide the documentation to the Customer specified in the Materials section below. Conduct a basic product Functional Overview to familiarize the Customer with the implemented RSA
enVision ES Appliance Migration with Data Migration service, as time allows. The overview should demonstrate the normal operations of the product as installed in the Customers environment.
Note:
Such Functional Overview relates to the Customers security environment and is not a substitute for the formal RSA product Customer Education courses available. RSA strongly encourages attendance at Customer Education classes to gain further insight into the product architecture and its integration.
