Regular Optimization Activities
To meet the agreed KPIs on the cluster level .To support the customer in daily tasks of optimization. Daily KPIs monitoring (CSSR, DCR ,HOSR etc) and troubleshooting of the worst cells. Responsible for reducing congestion and drops, improving the Handover, Location Update, CSSR in the designated area, issuing capacity requests whenever needed. Routine neighbor audit of BSCs, analysis of per neighbor stats in cells having poor handover performance and to change handover margins. Handover Success improvement on cell level by changing Pbgt, Adjustments of idle mode boundaries by tweaking ACCMIN, C1, C2. SDCCH dimensiong for reduced SDCCH congestion. HR/FR Parameters setting for reduced TCH Blocking improving CSSR RX Acceslevel setting for traffic shifting. Improving Data KPIs like TBF drops rate , TBF Allocation Success Rate, DL Blocking and UL Blocking and Throughput. Interference on band 4 and band 5 reduction by Frequency tuning. Coordinating with BSS Teams to resolve Issues, such as Handover Failures, Frequency Interference, and Low Power TRXs. Analysis of routine Drive Test of area assigned or issue-based DT using TEMS investigation(Data collection and route analysis) and prepare DT analysis report with recommendations for dropped calls, bad quality/coverage areas, no-dominance, handover failure issues etc. to improve the performance of the designated area.

I have completed my assignmentas RF Optimization Consultant Motorola to NSN Vodacom SRAN Swap Project in South Africa . I leaded the Optimization area for swap sites on daily basis includes BSC KPIs Optimization according to customer agreed SLA and getting acceptance of Swapped clusters .

NSN SPECIFIC Activities:

NSN Dump processing by using Plan Edit tool for extracting parameters and required info. Using SONAR for extracting multi vendor stats including NSN, Huawei , Motorola . Using NetAct to Extract Counter level stats and KPIs reports . Making specific reports in NETACT used for swapped sites reporting. TOP level user interface usage for alarms generation and parameter and live time site monitoring. CM editor usage in NETACT. Reporting suite for extracting reports. NetAct Content Browser for making specific reports. Initiating the drive test of swapped cluster and analysis of logfiles to rectify the Blocking and Drop Call isuues and generationg report for acceptance. Analyzing drive tests of cities and submit their reports with appropriate recommendations to resolve the identified problems. Carrying out Routine and Issue Based Drive Tests using TEMS Investigation to identify areas having coverage, quality & connectivity issues.
