Title

3-D, 2-story steel frame pushover analysis

Description

Given is a steel-frame building structure consisted of 2X2 bays in plan and two stories in
height. The structural system is basically a moment resisting frame, which is supplemented
by vertical bracings in the X-direction. The second floor is constructed with concrete on
metal deck, which is assumed to retain a rigid diaphragm behavior. The roof deck contains
no concrete, which is assumed to be flexible in the in-plane direction.

We will examine the capacity spectrum of the structure by means of a lateral load and
displacement curve through Pushover analysis.

Analysis Case
The target displacement of Pushover Analysis at the node 19 is 0.96ft in the X-
direction.
P-Delta Analysis is reflected in Pushover Analysis.
The load type of Pushover Analysis is the Static Load Case type defined by the user.
