SPECIFICATIONS FOR PEB STRUCTURE

1.0 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS 1.1 General 1.1.1 Site Location The site is situated at PEB Shop, ABC. Ltd., .

1.2 Scope The scope of work for Steel Building System is as defined in the following sections under the contract which includes design, manufacture, supply and erection of Structural Steel System, Metal Roof System, Wall System, Trims and Flashings, roof monitor or equivalent and all accessories as required for the Successful and satisfactory completion of the contract. The scope of work involves the design (optional), supply, fabrication, and installation of PEB Shop, which includes, but not limited to: 1.2.1 PEB SHOP The Contractor will need to be working in close coordination with the other Contractors and will need to comply to all the rules and the norms as per Client / Consultant and standards including all statutory requirements in a timely manner to meet the project programme. The following clauses shall be read in conjunction with the drawings and other relevant documents to ascertain the total works. The Contractors who are not familiar with the site conditions are required to visit site prior to submitting their price. No consideration shall be given to the Contractors who are unaware of the work place conditions. 1.2.2 General Inclusions

The works in this scope comprises, but is not limited to, the provision of design, fabrication, Installations, supervision, labor, materials (offsite storage until such time as required to suit the Schedule which may change from time to time and /or as advised by CLIENT / CONSULTANT, transport (Including material handling), plant and equipment necessary for erection at site to complete this scope of works as indicated on the drawings and contract conditions and to the satisfaction of CLIENT / CONSULTANT, relevant standards and codes provisions. Experienced Engineers, Supervisors & site team shall be permanently deputed full time at site once the Work is commencing at site. Required site cleaners &/or trades-person to ensure that their immediate work areas are clean (i.e. constant house cleaning of own site area, own site office & own access areas required), safe and all egress are clear at all times. Cleaning all elements after installation/construction as required by the Specification & again at final completion. The Contractor is required to clear, remove & separate their own debris/rubbish from the site. Necessary signs, barricades &/or protection of works areas (as required by CLIENT/CONSULTANT.) related to their scope of works. Necessary provision for drinking and portable water for their own laborers and the site work purpose shall be arranged by the Contractor at his own cost and arrangements. Allowance for inspections, proto-types, samples, mock-ups, testing data submissions, shop drawings, asbuilt, all as nominated &/or as requested by CLIENT / CONSULTANT. Allowance for warranties (Contractors, Contractor's & Supplier's) as per the contract, to CLIENT /CONSULTANT satisfaction. Any lifting machines and lifting method statement need be reviewed and approved by CLIENT /CONSULTANT prior to load, unload and lift to high level. The Contractor will be assigned a lay-down area on the jobsite for office, materials storage space for minor fabrication and assembly. The Contractors labour camp shall be allowed inside of PEB Factory premises. the Contractor shall provide Land/Facilities of labour camp by own cost.

The Contractor shall maintain his assigned lay-down area to ensure cleanliness and orderliness and shall comply with all jobsite rules and regulations. Safety, security and cleanup: The Contractor shall perform all work in a safe and secure manner and in accordance with the Project Safety Action Plan. The Contractor's safety and security work scope includes, but is not limited to, the following: Provision of all safety measures, devices, materials and equipment to protect personnel and equipment within the work site, including but not limited to safety glasses, boots and hardhats, safety vests, safety harness with twin lanyard connections. All electrical equipments shall be duly certified by electrical competent person and comply to statutory requirements. All lifting tools, tackles, cranes, winches, chain pulley blocks, slings, hooks, shackles etc shall be duly certified by competent person and comply with statutory requirement. Erection engineer, supervisor and crew shall be trained to safe working practices & observe safety and strictly follow safety norms at site. The Contractor has to abide all rules and regulations of local / state requirements and maintain necessary records to comply the same. The Contractor has to comply all factory act laws and maintain all required records.

1.3. Trade Specific Issues 1.3.1. Description of Work Area: The work includes the design (optional), supply, fabrication and erection of the following buildings and as further defined by the Drawings but not limited to: 1.3.2 Production Area, Toilets, lockers, chemical storage and sub station Single storey building with double pitched roof profile, including but not limited to holding down bolts, steel columns, rafters, tie, lattice girders if required, bracings, purling and cladding runners, Single skin insulated roofing and Single skin cladding sheets, flashing, bargeboard, Single Skin translucent polycarbonate sheets in roofing and slits on the wall, all accessories including, gutters, rainwater down take pipes and painting.

1.4 Building Description The Proposed building is Production Area from Grid F1 to F5 and FA to FJ, Toilets/Lockers/ Chemical Storage at south of Grid FA between Grid F2 and F4, and Substation at north of Grid FJ between Grid F3 and F5, including Canopies. The total built-up area and height as shown in the tender drawing. There are no rolling shutters on any side of building.

1.5 Drawing & Calculations (optional) The following shall be provided free of charge in 4 sets each after the receipt of the final order in the Following sequence a) Preliminary drawings, design calculations and/ or letter of certification for the structural Framing and covering panels, signed by a professional engineer, may be submitted for clients approval if design is being carried out by the Contractor. b) Anchor bolt setting plans. c) Fabrication drawing showing the cut length of the member d) Erection drawings. Any other drawing not cover in above list shall be made available to CLIENT / CONSULTANT on request.

2.0 DETAILED ENGINEERING (Shop drawings) (OPTIONAL)

2.1 The Contractor shall design the structures and prepare all the required drawings needed for correct and accurate construction. The design shall be strictly in accordance with the design specifications given in this document. 2.2 The Contractor shall submit the design basis and General Arrangement (G.A) of the structure along with required explanatory sketches/drawings and gets the same reviewed by consultants and if required 3rd part proof checker appointed by CLIENT before Starting the Final design and Good for Construction (GFC) drawings Fourteen days of time will be required by CLIENT / CONSULTANT for proof checking of design. CLIENT / CONSULTANT reserves the rights to get the 3rd party report on design as submitted by the Contractor to be examined by their structural experts and their recommendations shall be binding to the PEB Contractor. The Contractor shall not start any fabrication work without implementation of recommendation from the consultant and proof checker appointed by CLIENT / CONSULTANT (3rd. party check). The Contractor shall also furnish the foundation loading, base reaction and all other relevant data including STADD file both soft and hard copy to CLIENT/CONSULTANT. 2.3 Contractor shall submit all designs as per the latest IS Codes only however working stress method as per IS 800 1984 is acceptable. 2.4 The consultant and proof checker appointed by CLIENT / CONSULTANT reserves the right to review any/all or none of the designs and drawings. Review the consultant and proof checker appointed shall not relieve the Contractor of his responsibility for correct design and execution of the works. 2.5 The final design and GFC drawings shall directly adhere to the reviewed design basis and general arrangement and shall incorporate all the comments / suggestions given by the consultant and proof checker appointed by CLIENT / CONSULTANT without any extra cost to CLIENT / CONSULTANT. and any implication on the time schedule for completion of work. 2.6 After the completion of erection and construction, the Contractor shall submit to CLIENT CONSULTANT AS BUILT Drawings in requisite number of copies as specified elsewhere. Note: CL: 2.6 are applicable even if Contractor has followed consultants design.

3.0 CONSTRUCTION 3.1 Erection of all structural works, roofing, cladding, framed openings etc., including supply of all materials labour,

supervision, plant, tools and tackles etc., shall be carried out by the Contractor. 3.2 All materials and construction shall conform to the material and painting specifications given in this document 3.3 Erection of pre-engineered building shall be done in the presence /guidance of PEB Manufacturing experts and CLIENT / CONSULTANT shall not be responsible for the same. In case of an erection failure, the Contractor shall replace the damaged structure without any implication of time and cost to CLIENT. 3.4 Foundation Bolts shall be fixed by civil contractor and grouted by PEB Contractor. The alignment and levels to be checked, certified by the PEB contractors engineers. 3.5 No welding / No glass cutting is permitted at site unless otherwise cleared by CONSULTANT 4.0 ANALYSIS AND LOADS 4.1 General All structural steel sections and welded plate members shall be designed in accordance with the applicable sections, relating to design requirements and allowable stresses, of the latest edition of the IS CODES. All light-gauge, cold formed, structural members and covering shall be designed in accordance with the applicable sections, relating to design requirements and allowable stresses, of the latest Edition of IS Codes. The following codes shall be used for the designing of Pre Engineering Building. IS: 800-2007: Code of Practice for general construction in steel. IS: 801-1975: Code of practice for the use of cold-formed light gauge steel Structural members in general building construction IS: 811-1987: Specifications for cold formed light gauge structural steel sections. IS: 875 (Part 2)-1987 : Imposed Load. IS: 875 (Part 3)-1987 : Wind Load. IS: 1893 (Part 1)-2002: Criteria for earthquake resistant design of structure. IS: 15498 (2004) : Guidelines for Improving the Cyclonic Resistance of Low Rise Houses And Other Buildings/ Structures IS: 2062-1992 : Steel for general structural purposes. IS: 8500-1991: Structural Steel for micro alloyed (Medium and high quality) Specifications. 4.2 Design Loads The design loads shall be as per IS Codes and to be applied as follows unless otherwise specified on the drawings. A. DEAD LOAD:STAAD Pro or equivalent software generates self-weight for members that are defined in the Mathematical model. 15% additional weight shall be considered for all structural steel members to Account for connections and all additional loads of roof celling is given in tender drawings B. IMPOSED LOAD:- Unless & otherwise specified in the design / Tender drawings. Imposed load on portal type roofs shall be taken as 0.75 kN/m2 for roof inclination of SLOPE 3%. Imposed load arising from placing any equipment on roofs such as machines shall be taken as Manufacturers/supplier data. C. WIND LOAD Wind loads are calculated as per IS 875 1987 part III. For purpose of wind pressure evaluation following parameters will be considered:Basic Wind Speed = 39 m/ s K1 = 1.0 (for 50 years life of structure) K2 = Factor for relevant class of the structure with Category-2, Class-C K3 = 1.00

External Pressure Coefficients (Cpe) and its combination with Internal Pressure Coefficients (Cpi) shall be considered as per IS 875. Internal pressure coefficient shall not be considered less than 0.5 i.e. for buildings with openings between 5% to 20%. Frictional drag shall be considered as per Clause 6.3 of IS 875 Part III if required based on geometry of the building. Other wind related Specifications to be followed as per relevant IS and good engineering practices. D. SEISMIC LOAD. Seismic loads shall be consider as per IS 1893 Zone IV.

5.0 LOAD COMBINATIONS Following load combinations shall be considered for design of steel members in the building. DL = Dead Load, LL = Live Load, WL = Wind load / EL = Earthquake load, CL = Crane load as defined in sections above. Serviceability requirements will be checked as per IS 800 2007. a) 1.5DL + 1.5LL b) 1.5DL + 1.5LL + 1.2CL c) 1.2DL + 1.2LL + 1.05CL + 0.6WL/EL d) 1.2DL + 1.2LL + 0.53CL + 1.2WL/EL e) 1.5DL + 1.5WL/EL f) 0.9DL + 1.5WL/EL g) 1.5DL + 1.5 CL All other load combinations if required shall be as per IS 800 2007 Table -4.

6.0 DESIGN (OPTIONAL) Rigid frame / longitudinal frame members shall be designed as per IS 800-2007 For review of engineer in charge. Deflections to be checked as per given limits in IS 800-2007

7.0 Warranties Provide Manufacturers written weather tightness warranty for minimum of three (3) years against leaks in proof panels arising out of or caused by ordinary wear and tear under normal weather and atmospheric conditions warranty shall be signed by the metal roofing system Contractor. The Contractor shall submit upon completion of the job a performance bank guarantee which shall be of10 % of the total order value. Provide manufacturers standard paint film written warranty for minimum ten (10) years Against cracking, peeling chalking and fading of the coating on painted wall panels, painted roof panels and soffit panels. The Contractor shall also submit a written warranty against design and construction failure of the building which shall include designed loads and in particular shall state clearly if any conditions for which this warranty will not be applicable. NOTE: Warranty format shall be submitted with bid.

8.0 General All framing members shall be shop fabricated for bolted field assembly, unless otherwise noted on erection drawing. All framing members shall be cleaned by power or hand-wire brushing to remove all dirt, grease, oil, loose mill scale, welds slag, flux deposit and other foreign matter. The cleaning and painting specifications for the structural steel members as per IS800-2007 shall be as below: a) Shot Blasting to Sa 2.5. b) Shop coat over coat of Zinc Chromate primer (1 x50microns) - AT SHOP c) Two site coats of synthetic paint (2x 50 micron) BEFORE ERECTION d) Additional coat of touching up after erection shall be done by PEB Contractor.

Necessary surface treatment and cleaning of all surfaces and providing one coat of zinc chromate quality of Asian paints or ICI Brand, colour & shade finished to desired colour& shade, all complete. Painting /touching on top flange of Gantry Girder or where welding work is carried out by other agency in your scope. The contractor shall be responsible for a finished painting of thickness confirmed by him in his offer and shall do the painting again on site after erection in case painting is damaged due to environmental reasons, during transportation or erection. In case galvanized purlins are used and they are found with white marks the same shall not be acceptable and contractor shall replace them at his cost. Minimum coating for galvanized purlins shall be confirmed before finalizing of bid but same shall not be less than 275 gm. of zinc /sqmt of surface area. . For galvanized purlins contractor has to confirm galvanizing thickness and specification in their offer. 8.1 Primary Members Primary structural framing shall refer to the transverse rigid frames, lean-to rafters and columns (beam and column frames), bearing frame rafters and corner columns, and end wall wind columns. This plate or bar stock shall have minimum yield strength of 350 N/mm2 (50,000 psi) ASTM A-572(Grade 50) or equivalent IS: 8500-1991. The plates shall be joined together on both sides of the web by automatic submerged arc welding process (i.e. two side welding) to produce the required section. Minimum thickness of plates shall be 5 mm for all primary structural members. 8.2 Secondary Members Secondary structural framing shall refer to purlins, grits, eave struts, wind bracing, flange bracing, base angles, clips and other miscellaneous structural parts. a) Purlins, girts and eave struts shall be cold formed from steel which has a minimum yield strength of 350 N/mm2 (50,000 psi) and will conform to the physical specifications of ASTM -446 (Grade 50) or equivalent. Minimum thickness of Purlins, Girts & Eaves Strut shall be 1.8mm (b) Rod & angle bracing shall have minimum yield strength of 250 N/mm2 (36,000 psi) and will conform to the physical specifications of ASTM A-36 or equivalent IS: 2062.(c) All other miscellaneous secondary members ( IS Section) shall have minimum yield strength of 250N/mm2 (36,000 psi). 8.3 Connections All field connections shall be bolted (unless otherwise noted). All primary bolted connections, as shown on drawings, shall be furnished with high strength bolts of Grade 8.8 (equivalent to ASTM A-325) conforming to IS4000. All high strength bolts, nuts and Washers shall be zinc plated with a bronze iridite finish for easy identification. All secondary bolted connections, as shown on drawings, shall be furnished with machine bolts of Grade 4.6 (equivalent to ASTM A307) conforming to IS1367. Machine bolts, nuts and washers will be zinc plated. All shop connections shall be welded using either submerged or shielded arc process, and Welding shall be in accordance with the applicable sections, relating to design requirements and Allowable stresses, of the latest editions of the American Welding Society Structural Welding Code. Note: 100% weld visualization test on all welding. On 10% of weld length/joint of ultrasonic test, if UT weld test fails then another UT test on 10% of weld length/ joint, further if it fails then 100% ultrasonic weld test and 10 % DPT on fillet weld.

9.0 Roof & Wall Covering 9.1 General Typical roof shall be Min 0.5 mm (TCT) Zinc/Aluminum alloy coated (Zincalume / Galvalume /Equivalent) bare sheets & color coated for Wall. Contractor shall include in his price, supplying, fabricating & fixing in position Color coated Galvalume roofing sheet of TCT 0.50 mm thick and side cladding sheet of TCT 0.5 mm thick of approved manufacturer complete in all respects with self-drilling & tapping screws including cutting to proper size, metering, laps, necessary scaffolding etc. Finish on the weather face of wall and roof panels, and related components shall be Minimum 150gms/sqm Aluminum / Zinc alloy coating mass total of both sides (55% Aluminum + 43.5% Zinc +1.5% Silicon Coating class as mentioned below, Pre-treatment Chromate coating on either sides, Primer Coating Epoxy) on top Side 5 to 7 Microns, SMP or PVDF material of 20-25 microns on Top side and Back Coat Epoxy based 5 to 7 Microns. Base material for color coated galvanized or Galvalume substrate steel panels shall have minimum yield strength of 450

MPa (Hi Tensile Steel) and will conform to the physical specifications of ASTMA- 446 or A 792 or equivalent. The Aluminum/Zinc Alloy coating has confirmed to ASTM A-792 AZ150 (150 g/m2) or equivalent. 9.2 Panel Configuration-General (Guidelines only actual can vary as per supplier) Rib panel shall have 32 mm deep major ribs which taper in width from 25 mm to 79 mm, and are Spaced 333 mm on center. Between major ribs are additional minor stiffening ribs spaced at 111 mm on center. Each panel shall provide one meter coverage. However, contractor to specify optimal design. Wall panel shall have 26.4 mm deep major ribs which taper in width from 29 mm to 59 mm and are spaced 333 mm on center. Between the ribs the panel shall be formed into a sculptured Valley shape. Each panel shall provide one meter coverage. However, vendor to specify optimal design. Deck panel shall have 41 mm deep major ribs which taper in width from 12 mm to 42 mm, and are spaced 164 mm on center. Additional minor stiffening ribs are located between major ribs, at 82 mm on center. Each panel shall provide 820 mm coverage. However, contractor to specify optimal design. 9.3 Fasteners Standard fasteners shall be No 14, Type A, self-tapping sheet metal screws with metal and neoprene washers, which conform to American Standards Association Specifications. All screws shall have hex heads, be color coated to match roof or wall panels and shall be zinc plated steel. All fasteners shall confirm to AS: 3566 Class 3 or Class 4. All fasteners exposed directly to the weather should be fitted with sealing washer. The fastener size, type and frequency is to be decided by the designer as per design requirement of the particular element. "Buildex" or "Hilti" make EPDM washers (For hurricane region) etc

9.4 Sealer Sealer for side laps, and self-flashing windows shall be 6 mm wide x 5 mm thick, asbestos fiber filled pressure sensitive butyl tape. The sealer shall be non-asphaltic, non-shrinking, non-drying, non-silicon and non-toxic and shall have superior adhesion to metals, plastics and painted surfaces at temperatures from (-) 50 C to (+) 104 C. 9.5 Installation of Roof & Wall Panels Roof panels shall be continuous from ridge to eave for buildings without laps. Side wall panels shall be continuous from the eave to required level, all side wall panels shall be square cut in the factory for the required slope of the buildings, or bevel cut in the field. End wall panels shall be continuous from the eave to the required level. All end wall panels shall be square cut in the factory for the required slope of the buildings, or bevel cut in the field. All laps of roof panels shall be sealed with a continuous ribbon of tape sealer. Roof panels shall be secured to intermediate framing members with No. 14 sheet metal screws at a maximum spacing of 333 mm. At end laps, the maximum spacing of screws shall be 111 mm. At four corners of the buildings, panel to structural fastener spacing shall not exceed 111 mm, to an area equivalent to x2. Dimension x is determined by the following rule: (a) The smaller of 10% of the least horizontal dimension of the building (span of Length) 40% of eave height. (b) But not less than 4% of the least horizontal dimension of the building 0.9 meter Wall panel shall be secured to intermediate framing members with No. 14 sheet metal screws at a maximum spacing of n333 mm. At end laps, the maximum spacing of screws shall be 166 mm. Side laps of roof panels shall be stitched through the high rib with two, equally spaced, No. 14 sheet metal screws between supports (screw spacing not to exceed 525 mm). Side laps of wall panels shall be stitched through the low rib with one No. 14 sheet metal screw center between two supports (screw spacing not to exceed 525 mm). 9.6 Flashing Trim & Closures Flashing and/or trim shall be furnished at the rake, corners, eaves, framed openings, and wherever necessary to provide weather tightness and finished appearance. Color shall be selected from standard colors, with the exception of the corner trim, which matches the building wall color. Color coated, galvanized steel for flashing, metal closure, trim and other miscellaneous uses shall be of gauge as of the same specification as the roof and walls covering materials. A formed peak panel matching the slope and profile of adjoining panels shall be provided along the building ridge. Solid or closed cell, preformed, ETP (Ethylene Polypropylene Ter-polymer) closures matching the profile of the panel shall be installed along the eave, rake and other locations specified as per manufactures specifications/drag.

9.7 Color Finish Unless specified otherwise, all wall and roof panels, flashing, trim and other exposed galvanized Steel surfaces shall be colour coated. (a) Color of panels and corner trim shall be selected by the customer from standard Color. (b) The gutters, downspouts, rake trim and door flashing shall be white unless otherwise selected from standard color. 9.8 Color Requirement of Various Building Elements Steel columns: RAL 9016 Gutters: RAL 9016 Supports for Crane Rails: RAL 9016 Crane Gantry: RAL 9016 Building Inner walls: RAL 9016 Metal Doors: RAL 9016 Gates, Rolling Shutters: RAL 9016 Windows: RAL 9016 Barricading: RAL 9016 Roof flashing (external) : RAL 9016

10.0 Other Items 10.1 Sky lights Poly carbonate panel as specified by Client / Consultant with a minimum thickness of 2 mm milky white Tuff Lite and formed to match the profile of the metal sheeting panels. Sheets shall have alight transmission factor of 50 % to 82 % and solar energy transmission of 25 % 10.2 Eave Gutters GUTTER: Supplying, fabricating & fixing in position gutter made from 1.2 mm TCT Galvalume sheet including cutting, bending & welding in pieces of requirement, joining with splice at bottom 150mm wide, welding on top as well as bottom for water proof joint, fixing the gutter to proper slope to the spout, making necessary drop ends/boxes with each outlet for down-take pipes of required size and length, testing the gutter etc. complete to the satisfaction of Engineer-InCharge. Necessary steel structure for supporting gutters shall be provided. Provide 1.5mm thick FRP lining for inside surface of MS gutter. Bend piece / End piece at outlet near ground level shall be with extra heavy PVC pipe (The Bend piece shall be suitable for 8 kg per sq.cm. internal pressure shall be used). Gutter and connection including down-takes shall be designed for a water discharge capacity of 200 mm/hour. Size of gutter shall be used as per tender drawings. 10.3 Insulation The insulation shall be Rock wool, blanket type and suitable for application to roofs and walls of industrial buildings. The insulation shall be made of long and fine fiber-glass evenly distributed and of uniform density bonded with 34 G Aluminum foil and insulation material shall be fixed by weld mesh 50x50x1.6mm. The standard insulation thickness shall be 50 mm. The density of the insulation shall be 24kg/m3 with a thermal conductivity of 0.277 BTU in/ft2 hr F at a mean temperature of 100 F. The fire resistance of the facing shall be in accordance with the Underwriters Laboratories Test Method UL723, and shall have a fire hazard classification for flame spread 15 and smoke developed 105. The insulation material shall neither promote nor accelerate corrosion on steel. The insulation shall be tough, resilient, and dimensionally stable and have a high ageing resistance. It shall be odorless, non-hygroscopic, chemically inert and resistant to humidity, corrosive vapors, moisture and insects. The insulation shall be easy to install and can be cut with an ordinary knife to allow installation even on special profiles, curves, T- pieces etc. 11. Performance Warranty Certificate The Contractor shall submit performance warranty certificate for the following: (a) Structural stability (b) Leakage (c) Against corrosion Coating Structures (d) Thermal insulation
