HARDSHIP LETTER

2003, 2004 and 2005 hurricanes back to back direct hits, Hurricanes Charlie, Frances, jean and Wilma. Hurricane Wilma was the Hurricane that twisted our two story house. Called insurance company, but they said no twisting of house we called an engineer and he did a report and it stated that nothing else would cause this damage but a hurricane and it has cause the house to twist. The fight begins with the insurance company no help what so ever from the mortgage company when we could not get insurance because the house is twisted the mortgage company force placed insurance, not to protect anyone but them at 5,000.00 a year by their own insurance company which was a conflict of interest the house is only 1,250.00 sq ft. Which made our mortgage payment to go from $600.00 a month to $1,700.00 a month At this same timeframe the economy when bad our business , self employed land development slowed down. Then 2009 the acreage was going thru a cancer scare then in 2010 the acreage was declared a pediatric cancer cluster and still is, just google cancer clusters in Florida the acreage is an area that is 100 sq miles, the values of the homes in this area went way below market value, in 2014 prices are very lowslow recovery.(have paperwork proving of houses that sold in this timeframe for very low prices) A judge finally told the insurance company to get going on this claim . Insurance company and their professionals of engineers, contractors, etc took our findings and got their own and was still stallingthen the Judge sent a mediator that is also an engineer out to our house to settle and he walk in our house and the first thing he said was , you all cant see that this house is twisted.

After years of engineers, contractors, insurance professionals going in and out of our house the insurance company finally admitted THAT THE HOUSE IS TWISTED Called a property value professional to do an assessment on the house in the shape it is and he wrote a report up that the property was only worth property value of $20,000.00 valued the house as -0- Tried to settle with the mortgage company twice for $20,000.00 second time up to $50,000.00 answer was both times they were not authorized to settle and big waste of time. Second time they ask if our house was damaged and value down why didnt we get our taxes adjusted and they were going to do their own research on our house..in the meantime we went and had the palm beach county property adjuster come out to our house and he adjusted the taxes, from 3,000.00 a year to 1,700.00 a year and of that 1,700.00 $900.00 goes to Indian trail improvement district taxes so our taxes are lower to$ 800.00 a year. Because of damage We built our house out of pocket and co in December 2001, own house with no mortgage in March 2003 we got a loan on the house for $80,000.00 before we stopped paying after all the problems .. we had the mortgage paid down to $57,000.00 now the mortgage company says we owe 100,000.00 on a twisted house that we asked over and over during these years to help us (only speaking to people from out of the United States , getting nowhere with them) The Attorney for us against the insurance company has some funds in escrow but not enough to fix the house . We are asking to settle with the mortgage company so we can go on with our life and finally fix our house.

I have not been able to entertain, etc in all these years because of the condition of my house I am use to having parties at my house I have 8 children and 12 grandchildren. I would like to get started on the construction of my house and we cant until this is settled. I pray someone would understand the pain and suffering this has caused us.
