Barcode Reading
How do I correct the problem where data is outputted incorrectly only when the scanner is connected via USB port? When the scanner is able to read the barcode the problem may be caused by the incorrect host interpretation of the USB protocol. Please use the following barcodes to adjust the USB speeds. USB0: Regular speed mode. Usually for older operating systems like Windows 98 when default setting is not working. USB1: Full speed mode. The default speed of the scanner. USB2: Middle speed mode. Usually for Mac O.S. or Linux O.S when default setting is not working.

The scanner is on but can not read barcodes Make sure the scanner window is clean. Wipe the scan window with a sofe lint-free cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner to remove dirt or fingerprints. The presented barcode type is not enabled. Many symbologies are not enabled by default. Please refer to the Programming Guide to enable the barcode type. Make sure the scanner is not disabled by the host. Make sure the barcode type you scan is supported. Adjust the label length setting of the barcode type. Makes sure the density of the barcodes meet the specification of the scanner. Can ZEBEX scanners read RSS (GS1 Databar) barcodes? The 2D scanners can read the RSS(GS1 Databar) barcodes. Please check the decode capability chart on our website We have a UPC-A barcode that is used for butchery. The barcode is created from a scale and an example value is 0201050002206. When the scanner reads and transmits this barcode, it omits the first zero. What should I do? The scanner may identify the barcode as EAN-13 code if the first digit of the UPC-A is 0.
