KORFBALL

Korfball is a sport of Dutch origin which is played two teams whose objective is to put the ball into the basket. It is a game which is played in mixed teams (four men and four women). ou can!t move forward with the ball in your hand (like in "merican football) and you can!t move forward either bouncing or dribbling (like in basketball)# you can only move forward through passes between partners.

BASIC RULES FIELD, BASKET AND BALL

" korfball match consists of two parts# (' minutes each# with a short break of ten minutes.

PLAYERS AND THEIR POSITIONS


Each team has 8 players. In each zone there are two male players and two female players.

BASIC PHYSICAL QUALITIES AND MOTOR QUALITIES IN KORFBALL


In a korfball match you use the following 6asic 2hysical 7ualities1 3i8 aero!ic9anaero!ic endurance: you can resist some short efforts of great intensity with break (anaerobic) and# at the same time# you can be playing for (' minutes which the match lasts (aerobic). E8plosi#e stren$th: it!s the capacity we use to overcome a resistance or a small weight in a )uick way. It!s call 8power9 too. :or example# jumps# throwing# etc. ,estural speed: It!s the capacity of making a gesture as little time as possible (sport technical gestures like passes and throwing). 0ate of reaction: It!s the capacity of responding to one stimulus in the shortest possible time. Dynamic fle8i!ility: ;ake easier the maximum stretching of muscles and joints involved in a movement.

MOTOR QUALITIES
