Introit Welcome 197 We are gathered, Jesus is here x2 As we are gathered, Jesus is here ; one with each other, Jesus is here ; joined by the Spirit, washed in the blood, part of the body, the Church of God. As we are gathered, Jesus is here ; one with each other, Jesus is here. John Daniels Prayer Family Talk 448 Shine Jesus Shine 1 Lord, the light of your love is shining in the midst of the darkness, shining ; Jesus, Light of the world, shine upon us, set us free by the truth you now bring us. Shine on me, shine on me. Shine, Jesus, shine, fill this land with the Fathers glory ; blaze, Spirit, blaze, set our hearts on fire. Flow, river, flow, flood the nations with grace and mercy ; send forth your word, Lord, and let there be light ! 2 Lord, I come to your awesome presence, from the shadows into your radiance ; by your blood I may enter your brightness, search me, try me, consume all my darkness. Shine on me, shine on me. 3 As we gaze on your kingly brightness, so our faces display your likeness, ever changing from glory to glory, mirrored here may our lives tell your story. Shine on me, shine on me. Graham Kendrick (b. 1950) Reading : 1st Peter 2:1-12

642 Ye that know the Lord is gracious (Abbots Leigh ) 1 Ye that know the Lord is gracious, ye for whom a corner stone stands, of God elect and precious, laid that ye may build thereon, see that on that sure foundation ye a living temple raise, towers that may tell forth salvation, walls that may re-echo praise. 2 Living stones, by God appointed 3 Tell the praise of him who called you each to an allotted place, out of darkness into light, kings and priests, by God anointed, broke the fetters that enthralled you, shall ye not declare his grace ? gave you freedom, peace and sight : Ye, a royal generation, tell the tale of sins forgiven, tell the tidings of your birth, strength renewed and hope restored, tidings of a new creation till the earth, in tune with heaven, to an old and weary earth. praise and magnify the Lord ! 739 The Churchs one foundation 1 The Churchs one foundation is Jesus Christ her Lord : she is his new creation by water and the word ; from heaven he came and sought her to be his holy bride ; with his own blood he bought her, and for her life he died. 3 In toil and tribulation, and tumult of her war, she waits the consummation of peace for evermore, till with the vision glorious her longing eyes are blest, and the great Church victorious shall be the Church at rest.

Called forth from every nation, yet one oer all the earth, her charter of salvation : one Lord, one faith, one birth. One holy name she blesses, and shares one holy food, as to one hope she presses, with every grace endued. 4 Yet she on earth has union with God the Three in One, and mystical communion with those whose rest is won. O happy ones and holy ! Lord, give us grace that we, like them, the meek and lowly, on high may dwell with thee. Samuel John Stone (18391900)(alt.) CCL Licence No 6258 Activities
