Execute program RTCCTOOL in transaction se38 RTCCTOOLl is available only after application of ST-A/PI addin (See detailed instructions below for installation of ST-PI and ST-A/PI upgrades and patches)
2) Connection to SAP via 'saposs' RFC should be established (sapconnector) This may be checked in SM59 > saposs ( RFC ) > connection test, authorization test
3)Main notes for the below steps to " TRIGGER EWA at SMP " are 207223 and 763561 ( PDFs attached) The output of RTCCTOOL for each system will differ , depending on the version and patch levels ,but the general steps to be carried after executing RTCCTOOL are same.

goto > settings > task specific to see the default settings
goto > settings > task processor the task processor job should be active
Create the relevant task, via: SDCCN -> Task -> Create -> Request session data -> Periodic -> Earlywatch Alert -> Continue

to check the reports we need to go to the inbox and search for service messages.
As per the report output , we have to install/upgrade following add-on in our system. ST- A/PI - installation of ST-A/PI 01Q_700. ST-PI - Upgrade ST-PI add-on to support package level 7 for ST-PI 2008_1_700. 2.From SAP market place we will download required files and un-archive them 2.1 Download for ST-A/PI 01Q_700. 2.1.1. Go to https://websmp201.sap-ag.de/installations > Browse Our Download Catalog > Plug-Ins. Now click on the version recommended by rtcctool.(ie ST-A/PI 01Q_700).
2.1.2.Select the required version , click on installation and download the below highlighted file.
2.2. Download support packages for level 7 of ST-PI 2008_1_700. 2.2.1. Go to https://service.sap.com/swdc > Browse Our Download Catalog > Plug-Ins and download below highlighted 7 files .
2.3.Copy all the downloaded files to /usr/sap/trans and and unarchive all of them using SAPCAR utility.
3.Once you have all the files un-archived. Log into SAP client 000 . 3.1 Go to transaction SPAM - client 000 (Do not use DDIC) and go to Support Package > From Application Server > and press Yes.
3.2. Now all the required files will be uploaded and you will get below screen.
4.Deploy ST-A/PI Add-on using SAINT 4.1 Log in to SAP client 000 and execute transaction SAINT. Click on Start button to start the component deployment. Follow the steps as shown in below screenshots all screens are self explanatory.
Above screen confirmed that the package is deployed . Now we will continue with RTCCTOOL again to finish the post work for this Add-on. 4.2 Execute RTCCTOOL report again ,notice the first recommendation - It is to Activate the Digital signature.
4.3 Activating the digital certificate.Go to 'Goto' > 'Digital Signatures' > 'Activate Digital content verification'.
Confirmation of activation.
4.4 After activation of digital signature you will see Add-on ST-A/PI is green in RTCCTOOL report.
5. Upgrade ST-PI using SPAM 5.1 Go to SPAM in client 000. Click on Display /Define button to define the queue for the component
deployment.
Follow the steps as shown in below screenshots all screens are self explanatory.
Above screen confirmed that the ST-PI is upgraded . Now we will continue with RTCCTOOL again to finish the post work for this Add-on. 5.2 Execute RTCCTOOL report again ,notice the first below highlighted recommendation..
5.3 As per above recommendation , go to 'Addons&Upgrade' > Execute 'Procedure after addon implementation'.
5.5 Congratulation you have successfully upgraded ST-PI and ST-A/PI components in your ABAP system. RTCCTOOL will show all green now.
