1 Outline
This is to explain how to use RegPatient2, patient information registering tool software.

2 Application
This document will be applicable for as follows. RegPatient2 v4.12 or later

3 Setting details
In this chapter, setting details in each setting screen are described.

3.1 Modules requiring for the settings


In order to use RegPatient2, the following two modules should be set. In following chapters, the setting details are described in following sections. RegPatient2.exe RegPatient2ExpSet.exe

3.2 RegPatient2 setting


3.2.1 Starting the setting menu 1) Setting menu of RegPatient2 is available in RegPatient2 itself. Please find [All programs]-[TOPCON]-[RegPaitnet2]-[RegPatient2]. Start RegPatient2.

2) Right-click on title bar and select [settings] in the pop up menu.

Following dialog is displayed. First of all, find [Database] tab.

Import file consists of CSV format data separated by comma. In that CSV file, the patient information order must be defined. Import template is the definition.

The above import file is ordered like the below. Patient ID, patient last name, first name, DOB, sex In order to customize the order of patient information, template file is necessary. Click [Make, Edit] button to create new template file. The below dialogue will be displayed.

The above example file is available by selecting the template items as below.

See next page. The menu says MultiExpManager but the program name is RegPatient2ExpManager.

technical support R4-20101203-01-01 Basefile is the template file of export file. Usually in text format or Word format document, letter string called Keyword is described. RegPatient2Exp generates the output file by replacing the keyword into letter strings.
PatientID : $PATID LastName : $PATLAST FirstName : $PATFIRST Birthday of Date : $PATBIRTH:2 Sex : $PATSEX

In above example, $PATID$PATLAST$PATFIRST$PATBIRTH:2$PATSEX will be replaced to output file.

Find [Customize] tab.

Fix each item in [Customize] tab.

3.3 Settings in RegPatient2ExpSet


1) Find the RegPatient2 folder. The default installation folder is as follows. C:Program FilesTOPCONRegPatient2

2) Double-click RegPatient2ExpSet.exe

Find [General] tab first.

Fix each item in [General] tab.

If there is no linkage pattern, nothing is listed. It is possible to [Add] or [Modify]. Please see next page.

It is possible to add linkage pattern by pressing [Add] [RegPatient2ExpManager] tab.

Enter RegPatient2. Enter ExportMultiExpMgr. This is the only available function. ExportMultiExpMgr Specify the basefile Please see P.5 for the basefile. In [The same name file already exists.], in case of [postscript], it is recommended to put line-break at the end.

Specify the full path of folder to receive export files.

Output file form

Specify the output file name among the below. The file will be named as selected. Patient ID Output time ID folder (3 letters) and output date.
