Mark Eddiva vs. Jumabieke Tuerxun Round 1 Eddiva gets the better of the early exchanges, cracking Tuerxun with kicks low a nd high, and a hard right hook. The Filipino fighter plows Tuerxun to the ground at the base of the fence but cannot keep him there, though Eddiva punishes with some body shots on the floor before standing. Another quick takedown lands for Eddiva, who is now stacking up Tuerxun and delivering knees to the body. Tuerxun gets back to his feet, only to be muscled against the cage and popped with shor t punches and elbows in the clinch. Eddiva gets busy with knees and more elbows in the final minute of the round. T uerxun goes for a takedown now, but Eddiva defends with a sprawl against the cag e and turns Tuerxun around. It s more of the same from the end of last round, with Eddiva punishing Tuerxun on the fence with knees, elbows and now foot stomps. T uerxun lands an elbow and a knee as he separates and shoots back in. Eddiva fend s off the single-leg and comes off the cage. He slips to the ground while attemp ting a side kick, pops back up. Tuerxun leans over with his hands on his thighs, looking exhausted with 90 seconds left in round two. The brief respite gives Tu erxun enough energy to complete a takedown, though Eddiva immediately uses the f ence to work back to his feet. TJ De Santis scores the round 10-9 Eddiva Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Eddiva Round 3 Tuerxun tosses a shooting Eddiva to the ground, but Eddiva stands right away and once again shoves Tuerxun against the fence. It s more of the same now, Eddiva ro ughing up Tuerxun with hard left hands before scoring another takedown. Tuerxun gets up quickly, is greeted by more lefts and knees, and opts to take a knee. Ed diva appears to land a knee to Tuerxun s head, but no foul is called. Tuerxun driv es forward on a takedown but winds up on his knees with Eddiva on top. Tuerxun d ives for an armbar, loses it and puts Eddiva in his guard. Tuerxun throws up his legs for a triangle choke, can t it cinched and instead elbows Eddiva in the head before losing the grip. The featherweights are back on their feet with 30 secon ds remaining. Eddiva shoots, can t finish the takedown and eats an elbow. He rushe s Tuerxun against the fence to deliver a few final knees before the horn. Jumabieke Tuerxun via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) R3 5:00 Albert Cheng vs. Anying Wang Round 1 After 90 seconds of feeling out, Wang gets the better of an exchange in the pock et, tapping Cheng with a nice right hand. Cheng crouches and ducks inside to del iver a right hand, then dips back out just as quickly. It s give-and-take midway t hrough the round, with one man coming forward and delivering a strike or two, th en the other taking a turn. Wang is keeping control of the center of the cage wh ile Cheng circles the outside. With 65 seconds left, the crowd starts to boo and referee Leon Roberts calls for action. Wang obliges by rocking Cheng with a flu rry of high kicks and then sprawling on a takedown. Cheng keeps driving on the s ingle-leg, his head being shoved down by Wang to the end of the round. Albert Cheng via TKO (Doctor Stoppage) R1 5:00 Vaughan Lee vs. Nam Phan Round 1 Lee comes out aggressive, moving straight at Phan in the southpaw stance, delive ring kicks to the body and right hands up top. Lee switches between stances, sti cking both hands in Phan s face and fending off a weak single-leg. It s strong work from Lee through the first half of the round, staying in the pocket to assault P han with a variety of strikes. A pair of shots to the head and a right hand to t he breadbasket has Phan backing up. Lee keeps coming, mixing up the combinations while dodging and weaving out of the way of Phan s comparatively slow jabs. Phan goes to the body with a left hook, then a right hand upstairs but it doesn t seem to faze Lee. Good work from Lee down the stretch, countering Phan with more heav y leather and even a short back fist to the face. Lee backs up Phan with a heel kick and sticks a right hand in the veteran s face. Phan keeps firing back, trying to find Lee with his jab, but he s pulling up short . Phan does score with a left hook to the gut, prompting Lee to move off the cag e, back to the center. Lee is showing good variety in his strikes now, keeping b usy with kicks, going to Phan s body and head with both hands. Phan backs up Lee a gainst the fence, but Lee scores with a left and circles out. Phan is connecting with more lefts to the body, but Lee is still winning with his volume striking. Lee kicks inside and outside at Phan s legs while staying busy with j abs. Lee sends a left hand over the top and then sticks another jab in Phan s face . Midway through the final round and Phan continues to press forward, but he s sti ll not landing much. Lee goes to the body with a left, then sends a right hook u p top and finishes with an outside leg kick. Final minute now and it s Lee on the move, pushing forward and rocking Phan s head with hard punches. Phan shoots for a takedown on the fence at the last second, but it s too late. Nam Phan via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26) R3 5:00 Yui Chul Nam vs. Kazuki Tokudome Round 1 Nam blitzes Tokudome with rapid, heavy punches, tagging the Japanese fighter wit h a hard right hand on the fence before clinching up. They separate and Tokudome eats another big shot, then a barrage of punches as the lightweights move back to the fence. Again, they clinch, and again it s Nam scoring with a huge right as they break. This time, Tokudome hits the ground and Nam follows him down to poun d away from open guard. Tokudome tries an armbar, but Nam just keeps smashing aw ay with hammer fists until he can free the limb. Tokudome is eating some nasty p unches and elbows, now just trying to keep Nam from advancing past half-guard. T okudome scoots back to the fence and gets to his feet, and now both men are thro wing hands. Nam swings and misses but shuts down a takedown to wind up atop Toku dome again. Tokudome escapes to his feet, only to eat another pair of hard punch es. The Japanese fighter drops short right hands on his kneeling opponent as t hey work against the fence, Tokudome trying to get on Nam s back. Tokudome keeps t he short right hands coming; there isn t much behind them, but they re enough to pre vent a stand-up from referee Jerin Valel. After about 40 shots, Nam tries to gra b hold of Tokudome s right hand, but Tokudome is pinning Nam s left hand and keeping control on top. Inside the final minute, Nam turns over to get his back on the mat, and referee Valel tells Tokudome to get busy or get stood up. Tokudome obli ges with elbows and forearms on top. Round 3 Tokudome puts a big left high kick on Nam s head, only to take a hard right hand i n return. Tokudome shoots for and finishes another takedown near the fence, and he gets to work with more short right hands on Nam s face. There s blood dripping fr om beneath Tokudome s right eye, and his left eye is nearly swollen shut, but he s s taying heavy on top of Nam as they work on the ground. Nam gets back to his feet midway through the round, but Tokudome immediately changes levels for another d ouble-leg. Nam posts up this time and takes top position, shoving Tokudome to th e mat near the fence. Tokudome eats a couple left hands from Nam before explodin g to his feet. Nam gets a takedown of his own now with 80 seconds left to go. Na m sets up in guard but Tokudome gets an underhook and escapes to his feet. The l ightweights clinch on the fence and then release to swing wildly, with Tokudome hitting one last takedown at the horn. Kazuki Tokudome via Split Decision (29-27, 29-28, 27-28) R3 5: 00 Hatsu Hioki vs. Ivan Menjivar Round 1 Menjivar catches a kick and trips Hioki to the ground. After absorbing a couple elbows to the head, Hioki scrambles up and turns the tables by jumping onto Menj ivar s back. Still standing, Menjivar tries to fight off Hioki s hands as the Son of Shooto hunts for a rear-naked choke. Hioki loses his hooks and the featherweights separate after a brief clinch on the fence. Menjivar throws an overhand right w hich Hioki ducks to press him against the cage. They fight for position on the f ence with Hioki winding up on the outside, working for a trip. He gets it and im mediately flattens out Menjivar, working to advance past half-guard. Menjivar ho lds him in place until the 35-second mark, when Hioki goes for a rear-naked chok e and then transitions to an armbar. Hioki loses the arm and instead tries for a leg lock. Menjivar counters with a heel hook attempt of his own just before tim e runs out. Hioki switches to southpaw and flicks lazy jabs in Me njivar s direction, hopping backward when Menjivar comes forward to engage. Menjiv ar gives him no option by shoving Hioki against the cage and driving a knee to t he Japanese fighter s midsection. Hioki responds by tripping Menjivar to the mat, this time moving straight to side control. Menjivar rolls over and Hioki moves t o take the back, then transitions to an armbar. Menjivar tries to stack Hioki an d escape, so Hioki tries a triangle. Menjivar slips out of this, too, and drops a couple heavy hammer fists on Hioki s face before the former Sengoku champ can dr ive forward for another takedown. Hioki is back on top with 65 seconds remaining in the round, and he quickly passes to side control on Menjivar s right. Hioki go es for a straight armbar from half-guard which allows Menjivar to escape before the end of the round. Hioki sticks a jab in Menjivar s face and sends a front kick up the middle. Menjiv ar lunges into the pocket with a right hook but has to wade back out just as qui ckly. Menjivar catches a kick and sends Hioki to the canvas with a huge right ha nd. Hioki is quick to pop back to his feet, but when he does, he s spurting blood from the right side of his face. Menjivar clinches up and drills Hioki with a ni ce standing elbow in close quarters. Hioki sticks to the outside through the mid dle of the round, trying to dodge and counter Menjivar s strikes. Menjivar can t qui te get inside now, kept at bay by the rangy Hioki s push kicks. Hioki swipes upsta irs with a left hand before changing levels for a double-leg takedown in the las t 20 seconds. Menjivar goes for a last-second heel hook but runs out of time. Ivan Menjivar via Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) R3 5:00 Shawn Jordan vs. Matt Mitrione Round 1 Both big men connect with punches in the opening 15 seconds, but neither goes do wn. Jordan takes a leg kick before shoving Mitrione against the cage and working some knees to the legs of Meathead. They move off the cage and Jordan comes at Mi trione with a solid combination before sliding back out. Another combo scores fo r Jordan, this one with a lead uppercut and left hook. Two minutes left in the o pening round and Mitrione has to backpedal away from some punches. Mitrione miss es with his next combo and comes away grinning. Mitrione scores with a right and Jordan comes back with a crossing left. After taking another leg kick, Jordan h ustles Mitrione against the fence again. Mitrione turns it around this time and decks Jordan with a pair of heavy punches. Jordan turns and runs away, but Mitri one gives chase and unloads with punches against the fence. Time is running out but Mitrione can t quite polish off Jordan. With one second to go, Mitrione finds the button that takes Jordan s legs out from underneath him, and referee Dan Mirag liotta steps in to intervene. The Official Result Matt Mitrione def. Shawn Jordan via KO (Punches) R1 4:59 "TUF: China" Welterweight Tournament Final: Lipeng Zhang vs. Wang Sai Round 1 Sai gets to work with leg kicks early, then mixes it up with a few to Zhang s body . Zhang responds with some hard outside low kicks of his own as the finalists co ntinue their feeling out. Just as the crowd begins to boo, Zhang changes levels and bulldozes Sai to the canvas with a double-leg in the center of the cage. Zha ng has a body triangle but it s loose and he s riding high on Sai s back. Still, Zhang is able to hang on and pull Sai back to the ground as Sai tries to slip out the back door. Zhang comes close to finishing with a rear-naked choke, but Sai esca pes and twists around to set up in Zhang s guard. It s rubber guard from Zhang, who s sporting some damage on his legs from Sai s kicks. Sai stands and dives back to th e ground with a punch, nearly getting caught in a triangle. Sai pulls out and ta kes the back of Zhang in a scramble just before time runs out. Zhang turns around and shoots a double, absorbing a few elbows to the head before giving up on the takedown. Still against the fence, Sai lands a n elbow and then an illegal knee to the kneeling Zhang. There s a warning but no p oint deduction from referee Jerin Valel, and the Chinese fighters are soon back to work. Zhang gets a rear waist lock and dumps Sai to the ground with a suplex,

but he can t keep position. Sai stands up and comes back down on top, in Zhang s gu ard, where they ride out the final half minute of the round without much action. Zhang goes for rubber guard again but gets stood up by referee Valel just as he does. Sai sprawls on another shot and this time p unishes Zhang with punches from back-mount. Sai locks up a body triangle as they roll to the side and begins hunting for a rear-naked choke. Zhang twists around on top, loses the position and then stays prone on the mat as Sai stands over h im, kicking at Zhang s legs. Zhang looks to drive forward on a double, gets shoved back down by Sai. There s one minute remaining as Zhang pulls rubber guard again. Sai breaks it up and works some short ground-and-pound to the body, then a sing le hard right up top. Referee Valel orders the fighters to their feet with 10 se conds remaining, they both throw punches and Sai finishes the round with a rear waist lock. Wang Sai via Split Decision (30-27, 29-28, 28-29) R3 5:00 Dong Hyun Kim vs. John Hathaway Round 1 Referee Leon Roberts is the third man in the cage for tonight s welterweight main event, with judges Mark Collett, Howard Hughes and Chris Watts scoring at cagesi de. Hathaway takes a grazing left hand but strikes right back with a knee. Kim p uts a right hand on Hathaway s temple and the Englishman is momentarily on rubber legs. Kim clinches up, releases to score a left hand and gets tied up against th e cage. Hathaway trips Kim to the ground, but Kim instantly gets to his knees, t hen back to his feet. Kim shoves off, then comes back to sting Hathaway with ano ther hard left cross. Hathaway shoves Stun Gun against the fence to slow the pace. Kim escapes and stalks after Hathaway, now two minutes into the fight. Hathaway digs into Kim s body with a nice right hand, then puts him on the cage again. Kim comes over the top with another left and Hathaway hits the deck. Kim stands ove r him and rains down punches until Hathaway trips him to the ground. Now it s Kim on top in Hathaway s guard with one minute left. Kim gets in a couple good punches before standing and delivering an axe kick to Hathaway s gut. Hathaway throws up a triangle but can t make it stick, and Kim orders him up with 15 seconds to go, e ffectively ending the round. Hathaway walks straigh t at him with a hard right hook and a knee, then changes levels for a takedown w hich Kim stuffs. Hathaway ducks a punch and tries another shot, again stuffed by Kim. Both men are throwing hands as they come off the cage, Hathaway getting th e better of the exchange with a hook up top and a left to the body. Kim zaps Hat haway with another hard left as the Englishman pushes him against the cage. They separate and Hathaway lands an uppercut, prompting Kim to wave him forward. Hat haway obliges with an elbow and another clinch. Kim reaps the leg and trips Hath away to the ground, taking side control with 65 seconds remaining. Kim gets a cr

ucifix and gets busy with ground-and-pound for a few seconds before Hathaway pul ls his arm out. Just before the horn, Kim sits up and pounds Hathaway with doubl e hammer fists.
