Eco-The Eco committee have been working very hard recently. All the children in the school and nursery took part in a survey, to vote for an animal they would like to adopt. The most popular choice was a mountain gorilla, which they will be adopting soon. They have also organised an eco book swap on world book day. Parental Involvement- Thank you to all the parent volunteers who have been helping with the book banding. They have been very busy colour coding all the infant reading schemes in line with active literacy. Parents have also been in to help with new mental maths resources. We hope to get these new resources into the classrooms very soon. timetable on the back and return to your child"s teacher. HMI Questionnaire- Thank you to all parent and carers who took the time to fill out our #uestionnaires. We had a fantastic response and any issues raised will be dealt with in due course. $nce we have all the #uestionnaires returned, we will collate the information and inform you of the overall response. An updated list of out of school clubs will appear on the school website shortly. Local Charities-The Pupil %ouncil had a very successful dress up day in &ebruary with children and staff coming to school in their py'amas. The children were keen to support a local charity and picked the Aberdeen %hildren"s (ospital. This gave the children an opportunity to take part in (ealth and Wellbeing activities, with a focus on hospitals and people who help us. The children helped to raise over )*++ &or the A,%( E foundation. Dismissing children at the end of the day-A parent has suggested a change to the way the early years children are leaving the school building. We have looked at this carefully, however the procedure will remain the same. -ome parents have children in both P. and P/ so therefore can"t collect children at the same time from different e0its.
