INTRODUCTION 1 This plan is written in accordance with the requirements of Regulation 26 of Annex I of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from hips! 1"#$! as modified %& the Protocol of 1"#' relating thereto( The purpose of the Plan is to provide guidance to the )aster and *fficers on %oard the ship with respect to the steps to %e ta+en when a pollution incident has occurred or is li+el& to occur( The plan contains all information and operational instructions required %& the guidelines( The appendices contain names! telephone! telex num%ers! etc( of all contacts referenced in the plan! as well as other reference material( This plan has %een approved %& Class -. on %ehalf of the /overnment of the Repu%lic of Panama! except as provided %elow! no alteration or revision shall %e made to an& part of it without the prior approval of Class -.( Changes to section 0 and the appendices will not %e required to %e approved %& the administration( The appendices should %e maintained up to date %& the owners! operators and managers(
