Stopping OMCO Server Telnet 10.200.1.1 Username : omco Password : omco Cd /opt/omco/OMCO_1.9.0.20P2/bin Then issue the following command to stop OMC-O server. ./vcs-stop.sh Stopping the Oracle DB Telnet 10.200.1.1 Username : oracle Password : oracle 1 Log on to the database server as oracle. 2 Execute the following commands: $sqlplus Enter user-name: sys/manager as sysdba SQL>shutdown immediate; SQL>exit 3 Stop Oracle listener: $lsnrctl stop

Starting the Database and Application (OMC-A and OMC-O)


Starting the Oracle DB (Common for OMCO and OMCA) Telnet 10.200.1.1 Username : oracle Password : oracle

If the Oracle database has shut down, follow the steps below to startup the database: 1 Log on to the database server as oracle. 2 Execute the following commands: $sqlplus Enter user-name: sys/manager as sysdba SQL>startup; SQL>exit; 3 Start the Oracle listener: $lsnrctl start Starting the BE Server (OMC-A) 1 Log on to the BE server : telnet 10.200.1.2 username : root password : root 2 Go to the directory <BE Server Installation Path>/bin (e.g. Cd /opt/Netman4000/OMCA310APP/Server/bin 3 Execute the following commands to start the BE: #nohup sh ./liteMain.sh & 4 Execute the following commands to check whether port 9090 has been started: #tail -f nohup.out The following information will be shown:

Starting up OMC-O Server Note: To start up the Server, the user must be logged on as omco. Telnet 10.200.1.1 Username : omco Password : omco

Cd /opt/omco/OMCO_1.9.0.20P2/bin Then issue the following command to start OMC-O. This command first starts up Tomcat and then starts OMC-O. ./allStart.sh

Starting up Client via Web The OMC-O client software will be automatically downloaded from Web Server. The steps are given below: 1 Make sure the Tomcat and OMC-O Server are running. 2 Make sure the Java runtime environment is installed. 3 Open a web browser and type http://ServerIP:7070/omcows in the address bar (Note: ServerIP is the OMC-O server IP address). Example: If the OMC-O server IP address is 10.200.1.1, type http://10.200.1.1:7070/omcows in the browser address bar to access the OMC-O log in window. 4 Enter the user name and password in the appropriate fields (the default user name and password are both root). Select the language and click the Login
