Sunshine hours and day length are ideally suited for round the year cultivation of crops. There are 20 agro-climatic regions and nearly 46 out of 60 soil types in the country.

It has the cultivable land, all the seasons for production of all varieties of crops, fruits and vegetables, well developed agribusiness system that works in its own way.

Agriculture is the back bone of Indian Economy More and more people moving away from Agriculture due to urbanization and other easy options Not enough support from Society towards agriculture, leading to gradual reduction Future wars will be fought on food and water, money cant buy all! Youth today do not know where fruits, milk, rice and eggs come from!

PROBLEMS
Slow agricultural growth is a concern for policymakers as some twothirds of Indias people depend on rural employment for a living. Current agricultural practices are neither economically nor environment sustainable practices are Indias yields for many agricultural commodities are low . Poorly maintained irrigation systems and almost universal lack of good extension services are among the factors responsible .
