Target Group: Gum is something enjoyed by people of all ages and it makes very little difference which age group is involved. The problem with the current brand packaging and design is one that has potential to detract all and that will change. Brief History: Trident Gum was invented as a way to chew gum and help people get rid of dental caries. They were the first sugar-free chewing gum in the united states, and actually strengthened teeth while you chewed, which led to the name being Trident for the 3 main ingredients.
Big idea: One of the biggest problems with gum packages is the moisture of being in ones pocket mixed with the tight location it is which causes the gum to get smashed. I will adjust packaging to better withstand the pressure of a pant pocket. I will also create a simpler look to attract more ages. Advertisment: My advertisement will encourage customers to buy more gum and enjoy the new packaging and design.

Color Guide
The Trident Logo should be spaced at least a delta away from all other content on all sides. T he only exception of this rule is the addition of sugar free to the bottom right of the brandmark. One of the most important parts of the logo is the immediate recognition of our brand, in order to keep a consistent appearance on all mediums we require the use of the greyscale logo on anything that does not allow for a simple color graphic. For all other uses the logo using the red delta must be used. This is to best allow our brand to be recognized.

A fault with the current packaging is the ease of crushability when placed in a pocket, however with added side flaps the stability of the packaging is greatly increased as well as moisture penetration avoided.

Through the redesign of the packaging in both functionality and design it is expected to reach a greater number of people making the gum that not only freshens your breath, but cleans your teeth, reach more people and keep our mouths healthy. With the proposed ad, we foresee a great number of sales on gum as the customer will buy more to get the discount. This will both help the new brand as well as increase sales through the next quarter. Its time we make a change and clean up a bit.
