IOM is looking for an Intern according to the Terms of Reference below.

OPEN TO EXTERNAL CANDIDATES Reference Code: VN-01/2014/I-BD1 Duty Station : IOM Dhaka Position Title : Estimated Starting Date: Type of Appointment Scope of Work: Under the direct supervision of the National Programme Officer (NPO) and overall supervision of the Programme Manager (PM) and Chief of Mission (CoM) the incumbent will provide support to the programme team for the events and conferences planned around the post-2015 Development Agenda and the GFMD dialogues. The incumbent will be assigned, but not limited to, the following tasks: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. To support in the coordination of organizing seminars, workshops and other events. Follow up with invitees on their attendance. Maintain databases for RSVPs/queries/feedback from invitees Maintain confidentiality of information and the process To assist the programme team in drafting letters, reports and other documents. To conduct desk research and produce reports on issues related to the identified programme area. Assist in preparing reports Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor(s) and the Chief of Mission : Intern 01 February 2014 Internship (3 months with possibility of extension)

Eligibility and Selection: The Internship Programme aims at attracting talented students and graduates who have a specific interest in, or whose studies have covered, areas relevant to IOM programmes and activities. Interns must be between 19 and 36 years old and should have less than two years of relevant working experience. The Internship Programme is open to candidates of any nationality. Competencies: University degree from an accredited University; degree in Social Sciences and Humanities preferable Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Efficiency, flexibility, high level of professionalism and ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with the stakeholders Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, Statistical software, Adobe etc.) Ability to maintain orderly, accurate documentation Personal commitment, efficiency and drive for results Fluency in written and verbal English and Bengali is mandatory
