Inserting pictures and clip art.


Inserting a picture.
1. Put the mouse cursor on the spot where you want to put the picture and click.

2. On the main ribbon, click the Insert tab.

3. From there, find and click the button that says Picture. This is found above the Illustrations heading.

4. This will open up the Insert Picture search window.

5. Find and click on the picture file from where it can be found on the computer. We have ours saved on the desktop. 6. Then click on the Insert button.

Now you should be able to see your picture in the Word document.

The little dots at each corner of the picture are size handles. You can click and drag these to resize the picture to be as big or as litle as you want. After you insert the picture, it might cover up the stuff you write. To fix the text so it wraps around the picture (and so the picture isnt covering the words), click on the picture so it is selected. 7. On the main ribbon, a red tab will appear called Picture Tools, and right under it is the Format tab.

8. Select the Format tab, and look for the Text Wrapping button above the Arrange heading.

9. The menu that shows up will give you a few options, but for now, we ll choose the button called Tight because it will make the words sit around the picture, which looks cool.

Inserting clip art.


Clip art is an image saved inside the Word program. 1. Put the mouse cursor on the spot where you want to put the picture and click.

2. On the main ribbon, click the Insert tab.

3. From there, find and click the button that says Clip Art. This is found above the Illustrations heading.

4. This will open up the Clip Art pane on the side of the page.

5. Click inside the box under, Search for: Press the backspace buton to erase any word that may already be in the box. Then type the word you want. We are going to look under the word, Jamaica. 6. Put your cursor over the pictures until you find a waterfall called, Dunns River Falls, Jamaica.

7. Click on the arrow beside the picture. When a box drops down, click on, insert.

Now you should be able to see your picture in the Word document.
