Augmented Reality

Augmented Reality is a breakthrough technology that could considerably ease execution of complex operations. Augmented Reality mixes virtual and actual reality, making available to the user new tools to ensure efficiency in the transfer of knowledge for several processes and in several environments.

This technology will truly change the way in which we view the world. Augmented reality displays looks like a pair of normal glasses. Suppose a person is walking or driving down through a street. With this augmented reality displays, informative graphics may appear in the field of view and audio will coincide with whatever the person sees. These enhancements will be refreshed continually according to the movement of head to make a feel of reality. Another example for augmented reality is Google project glass

Augmented reality adds graphics, sounds, haptic and smell to the natural world as it exists. Video games will drive the development of augmented reality, but this technology will have enormous number of applications. Everyone from tourists to military troops will be able to use the benefits of this technology that is, its ability to place computer generated graphics in the field of users vision.

With the help of advanced augmented reality technology, for example, adding computer vision and object recognition the information about the surrounding real world of the user becomes interactive and digitally manipulable. Artificial information about the environment and its objects can be overlaid on the real world.

Wireless Electricity
BHAVISH 4ES10EC020 Wi-Tricity, an acronym for wireless electricity is the method of transmission of electricity without the use of man-made conductors. This is a modern and hi-tech way of transmitting electrical energy. It is mostly used in cases when it is difficult or impossible to transfer electricity using traditional methods. Generally conducting wires are used to transmit electricity over an area. One of the most common ways of achieving wireless transmission of electricity is direct induction and resonant magnetic induction. There are other ways of achieving this too, like electrical conduction and electromagnetic radiation. In direct induction, two conductors are coupled such that changes in the current conductor induce voltage in the other conductor. This happens due to electromagnetic induction. Transformers use this method. In resonant magnetic induction, the energy is transferred between two wires which are tuned at the same frequency. The machine used for this purpose is known as resonance transformer. These two methods done in the given order help in transmission of electricity in wireless fashion. Electromagnetic radiations used are microwaves or lasers. Electromagnetic induction can also be used for wireless transmission. It can be magnetic or capacitive in nature. Capacitive coupling is also known as an electrostatic induction method. With laser or microwave method, power transmission can be made more directional. Wireless transmission is useful in cases where interconnecting wires are inconvenient, hazardous, or impossible. The problem of wireless power transmission differs from that of wireless telecommunications, such as radio. In the latter, the proportion of energy received becomes critical only if it is too low for the signal to be distinguished from the background noise. With wireless power, efficiency is the more significant parameter. A large part of the energy sent out by the generating plant must arrive at the receiver or receivers to make the system economical.
