PRESENTATION (15 MINUTES)

1. Pupils name the occupations. 2. Pupils listen to and repeat phrases on occupations. 3. Match pictures to phrases.

PRACTICE (15 MINUTES)

Teacher drills the pupils with the sentence patterns.

PRODUCTION (20 MINUTES)

Students write down their desired future career / ambition. List down why they choose that career. And presents it in class.

Pre-listening ; 1. Teacher tells students about the occupations in their community. 2. Teacher describes occupation of the people they know based on their appearance. While listening ; 1. A video is prepared, explaining what each occupation does and where they work. 2. Students match occupation and its workplace, in the task sheet provided. 1. Teacher shows a picture of one of the workplaces in the worksheet. 'Who works here?' for example, a shop. 2. Ask students "Who works here?" Students answer "A shop assistant." (Explain that you always use a/an or the before job titles.) 3. Students complete the worksheet. Make sure they use a/an before the job title. 1. Role play of their desired ambition or future career. 2. Each student asks their friend on what their future career is and the workplace.
