How to apply for a bachelor programme (undergraduate)

You have to send an application file with the following materials:

1. a completed and signed application form (Application form for the admission procedure). This form is available on our website (www.ua.ac.be/admission (Forms and documents). 2. a copy of your passport or identity card. 3. a curriculum vitae (CV) with the following data: name and first name, place and date of birth, official address, phone number and email address you can be reached at, overview of previous studies (secondary and higher education) and (if applicable) overview of professional activities. 4. a (legalised*) copy of the diploma of secondary education. If this diploma has been issued in another language than Dutch, English, French or German, a (legalised*) translation in one of these languages by a sworn translator is necessary. 5. only for students from the P.R. China: from the academic year 2007-2008 onwards all students from the P.R. China have to obtain a certificate of academic screening issued y the Academic Evaluation Centre (APS) of the German Embassy in Beijing before being allowed to enrol at a higher education institution, language course or other preparatory course in Flanders. The APS certificate is also required for obtaining a student visa for Belgium. Chinese students planning to study in Flanders are advised to contact the Academic Evaluation Centre in Beijing (info@aps.org.cn) before applying for a visa. More information on APS and the procedure is available on the website: www.aps.org.cn. 6. only for students from non-EEA countries: payment in advance of 50 EUR, covering administrative costs (no refund possible). Please note that the candidate has to pay all bank transfer costs. You need to add proof of payment to your application file!

The application form and all required materials have to be sent by regular mail to:

Please note it can take up to eight weeks before you receive the result of your application.
