One of the concerns of the current scenario is that the system that was established tens of years ago is still kept running without any further up gradation. f. It would be required to increase the storage capacities to be able to cater to the ever increasing population and urbanization. g. The IT companies that have established offices in the town are buying water from Chennai Metro water supply board, through tanker system. A few of them may have their individual bore wells as well to cater to their needs. h. There is a need to set a better network of Overhead tanks(OHT) for more storage of potable water.
