Design was created with shadow embroidry techniques in mind. Stitching the bow on a sheer fabric (in a hoop) and then building the scissor case with a light background would be the intended method. An alternate would be to do a shadow-work embroidery and fuse the bow pieces in a color fabric on to a light background, then cover the entire design with a sheer fabric and stitch the outline of all shapes in the design by hand in a uniform Running Stitch.
