Allot of people agree that cloud computing is the future. We have seen a huge increase in cloud talk lately. Microsoft announced there "Cloud OS", "Microsoft Cloud" the final name is to be released in a fe eeks at there dev conference. !oogle has had us cloud computing for a hile, hether you kne it or not. !mail, !oogle "ocs, !oogle #eader, $ust about anything !oogle offers e%cept sketch&up and chrome. Although chrome supports there cloud pretty ell, maybe like an OS' So e have all these clouds floating over our heads. (here are tons more do n the road ere )ust getting into this ne%t step in tech. Ama*on has there cloud floating around, Microsoft is on the ay, !oggles money cloud has been up there a hile. What do + use' Will all cloud document,s ork together' Are the company,s reading my documents hen + save them on there server' What if the server is do n'- What if all the clouds e%plode' A...--A little over helming + kno , .ave no fear- + have been reading up, taking note and trying to myth bust and support the cloud- Allot of people in the business are still opposed to cloud computing. /utting there data on a company,s server is most of the argument. + agree ith this argument to a certain e%tent. +f its something you ouldn,t ant anyone to kno ever. Cloud computing isn,t the place for that information. Some people act like everything they touch should never be seen by anyone but them ever- 0ot that anyone at !oogle ould look at it, chances are they ont. Or the idea that !oogle as only created to atch everything e doSo my first tip for cloud computing, (a% information, anything personal, + ould back up on hard are. Cloud computing is not meant to replace everything e kno about computing. Allot of people say it ill replace installing application,s on our machines and go fully to the eb. 1ven more so no that !oogle apps have offline support. +f this is the future it on,t happen very soon and even if it does, no one is coming over to take your applications a ay so deal ith that information the same ay you do no . "o ntime, (his is a big issue on the sub)ect. !oggles !mail had some outages. (hat,s al ays brought up. Outages happen i didn,t even e%perience the !mail outage my !mail has never not been available to me. (hink about it there as an outage, but hat,s the state of your !mail' +ts the same. +t comes back up you collect the mail you missed and all the old stuff is there. + ould not fear do ntime +n a fe hours, business goes back to normal. What if the service,s loose my ork' (his is unlikely but never say never. 2AC3 4/- you back up your regular ork so hy not backup ork done in the cloud. 0ever assume it ill be there forever, +t may only be there as long as the company or service is in business. With !oogle not sure if i ould orry about money problems anytime soon.
