Why do you want to pursue this career


I want to pursue this career because I love to dance and cheer I would love to put my talent out there so I can help others due so as well I have been studying dance for about 4 years and cheering for 14 years I am very excited and ready to obtain and pass this on to the dance world

To qualify as a dance teacher, one needs a teaching qualification from a recognized association, such as the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing or the Royal Academy of Dance, and a high standard of personal performance. Experience is also an added advantage. Private studios will each have their own requirements for hiring teachers. Some studios hire teachers who have grown up studying dance at the studio and so are familiar with the type of teaching they desire. Others studios prefer teachers to have a college degree in dance or some professional experience.

Having other certifications on your resume, such as yoga, aerobics, Pilates or floor bare, can help you get hired, because you will be able to teach many classes. Certification in a dance teaching method will show that you have a concrete understanding of teaching methodologies as well as being proficient in dance technique. Dance teaching certifications are available for techniques, such as classical ballet, belly dance, ballroom dance, and various Latin dance forms Pre-professional AcademiesPre-professional academies, such as the School of American Ballet, San Francisco Ballet School, and The Ailey School, require teachers to be former or current dancers in the company affiliated with the school. Preprofessional academies aim to prepare the next generation of performers for their company. These schools desire teachers who are able to successfully mentor students based on firsthand professional dance experience

The curriculum is designed to ready students to compete effectively in a global business environment. Majors include:B.A. in Business Management The Business Management major provides students with opportunities to advance professionally in managing private, public, and non-profit organizations. It also motivates students to become entrepreneurs. Along with a major emphasis on leadership, team dynamics, business ethics, and decision making, this major focuses on the application of business skills.
