The purpose of my pitch was to let Alamance Community members and Elon University students that Mynt will partner with Zeta Tau Alpha to support a national nonprofit cause, The National Breast Cancer Foundation. My key public for the pitch was young professionals in the Alamance County community. After learning that 87 percent of Alamance Woman readers have been college educated, I felt their audience would care about a cause related to a college in the local area. I felt the proximity of the story, as well as the emotional element of supporting breast cancer research, would interest the Alamance Woman readers. Therefore, I chose to pitch Mynts February event to Angela Jennings, the publisher of Alamance Woman. Furthermore, their editorial calendar indicated they often focus on business as a main focus in their March issue. If Angela was to attend the event and interview Mynts store manager in February, she would hopefully have enough time to write an article for the March issue of the magazine.
