Improving Game Speed ============================================================ There are several ways by which you can speed up the overall FIFA 14 experience: a) Lower the resolution in the FIFA 14 launcher application under the Displ ay Configuration tab within Game Settings. b) Lower the rendering quality in the FIFA 14 launcher application under th e Display Configuration tab within Game Settings. c) Turn off the MSAA in the FIFA 14 launcher application under the Display Configuration tab within Game Settings. d) Uncheck the Wait for Vsync option in the FIFA 14 launcher application un der the Display Configuration tab within Game Settings. e) Disable the radar from within the game under Game Settings. f) Turn the Commentary Volume all the way down within the game under Game S ettings. g) While we don t recommend turning off your anti-virus software, performance can be impacted when certain anti-virus programs decide to wake up and run task s while you are playing FIFA. h) Ensure that the Disable Windows Aero Theme is checked in the FIFA 14 launc her application. ============================================================ 9. Hot Keys ============================================================ The following hot keys can be used in the game to access certain functions more quickly. Mouse, Keyboard and Controller Functionality ============================================================ You can use the mouse, keyboard or controller to navigate the game interface and play in-game and new for FIFA 14 PC is the ability to play the game with Keyboa rd & Mouse at the same time. Advantages to this over the traditional Keyboard Onl y controls are that you can have 360 degree dribbling and do skill moves more eas ily. You can also take advantage of new features such as, Teammate Run and Mark a M an where you use a button press and mouse movement to send a teammate on a create d running path or point to an opponent that you want the nearest teammate to mar k on defense. NOTE: This control method is for offline play only. Once you are on the Side select screen, you must move whichever input device you plan to use in the game to the left or the right to select your team. FIFA 14 h as the ability to use each control device with Classic, Alternate, or 2-button c ontrols. Please note that you may have to recalibrate your controllers in Windows in order to have the game detect them correctly. To bring up the in-game pause menus, you can press the Start button (if your gam epad has one) or press ESC. Alternatively, if you want to use Keybo ard & Mouse or Keyboard Only as your control device, make sure that on the PRESS ST ART or SPACE screen that you press SPACE. This will set your default control dev ice to being Keyboard & Mouse. Once in game you can customise your game experien ce in CUSTOMISE -> SETTINGS -> CONTROLS. Note: You must enter this screen with t he control device you wish to edit. I.e.: You cannot edit gamepad controls if yo u enter this screen with a mouse or keyboard and vice versa. The use of a 360-degree dual analog gamepad such as the Logitech Dual Action is hi ghly recommended for full functionality.
