-Extract the Contents of the Alphabar 1.0 RAR file to the relevant folders: -Skins default folder is: ...\My Documents\Rainmeter\ -Themes default folder is: X:\Program Files\Rainmeter\ -Plugins default folder is: X:\Program Files\Rainmeter\ -Run Rain Themes from your Windows Start Menu s Programs > Rainmeter > Raintheme

-If you've installed Alphabar in the correct folders you should see the followin g 4 Alphabar Themes: Alphabar Black, Alphabar White, Alphabar Transblack and Alp habar Transwhite. -Double click the Theme that matches your personal taste and your Desktop Image. It should load automatically, matching itself to your Display Resolution. -Awesome! You should now be running Alphabar 1.0. The default layout starts with the Alphabar itself, the Tasks List, the Calendar and the RSS Reader. Click aro und to explore! -The final thing to do is configure Alphabar for your Computer. At the moment th is still requires a little bit of code-diving, but hopefully this will soon chan ge! I will write a more detailed instruction in PDF format for the next release

to make this step easier for first-time Rainmeter users :] -The Skin files are INI files and by default reside in the folder ...\My Docum ents\Rainmeter\Skins\Alphabar\ Head to this folder and you can see the vario us INI files for the different Alphabar Skins and their Variants. Please note th at each Variant is separate and will need to be configured separately. Open an I NI file in your Text Editor to configure that Skin. Most of the file is for adva nced users, but just a little way down is the [Variables] section, where you can input your various RSS, Twitter and Gmail usernames passwords etc. -Good Luck! [Use] Basic Functions: The Drives Icon launches My Computer, clicking on the individua l HD Bar Meters will directly open the relevant drive! Note: Right-Clicking the Drives Icon will take you straight to your My Documents folder! The Trash Icon launches the Recycle Bin! Hover over the Icon to see the number a nd size of files in the Recycle Bin! Note: Right-Clicking the Trash Icon will of fer to empty the Recycle Bin folder for you! The Battery Icon Launches Power Options and monitors your Battery power level. N ote: The Battery Meter changes colour as your power level becomes critical! The Internet Icon launches Network Connections! The unique design also offers access to 7 individual Tabs offering more detailed information: Tasks: The Tasks Icon launches the Tasks Tab, showing your personal Tasks and No tes! A Left-Click on the Tasks tab will open your Tasks file! Note: Right-Clicki ng the Tasks Icon will also take straight to your Tasks file! System: The System Icon launches the System Tab, showing Shutdown and Logoff opt ions, plus a convenient Active Process List! Shutdown and Logoff options offer p roper confirmation before Logging Off. A Left-Click on the Process List will con veniently open your Windows Task Manager! Note: Right-Clicking the Tasks Icon wi ll also take you straight to the Task Manager! Windows Vista/7: The Process List is only available in Windows XP, an alternativ e skin is provided for Vista/7 users! Calendar: Clicking the Time/Date section launches a 1-week Calendar Tab. From he re you can also launch your Default Calendar (Google Calendar, Outlook etc.) by clicking on the Calendar Icon. Clicking on the Properties Icon will launch Time/ Date Properties! Gmail: The Mail Icon shows the amount of unread messages presently in your Gmail account, clicking on this number launches your Gmail Inbox in your Default Brow ser. Clicking on the Mail Icon itself launches the Gmail Tab. From here you can preview up to 11 unread Email messages, while clicking on an individual subject opens that message in your Default Browser! Note: Right-Clicking the Mail Icon m anually refreshes the Unread Email count! Weather: Clicking on the Mail Icon launches the Weather Tab. From here you have

convenient access to Sunrise/Set times, Moon Phase, Current Weather Conditions a nd a 3-Day Weather Forecast thoughtfully provided by Accuweather.com! Twitter: The Twitter Icon launches the Twitter Tab. Click here to see the last 9 Tweets from your Twitter-Buddies then click on the Text Box to add you voice to the racket! A very simple yet perfectly functional Twitter Client without launc hing any dedicated Programs!! RSS: And finally, the Reader Icon launches the RSS Tab, where you can preview an RSS Feed of your choosing! Clicking on an individual subject opens that item in your Default Browser!
