Questionnaire to 2013-2014 E-course Participants#2
E-course participants are kindly requested to fill the blanks on the following questionnaire sheets.
Your frank opinions are valuable for the improvement of the curricula in the course.
Please submit the sheets to Ms. Kobayashi (e-kensyu@kenken.go.jp) by April 4(Fri.), 2014.
Your Name: Md. Shamsul Islam Country: Bangladesh
Q1: Through your experiences, classify the subjects into following four categories and mark 'X' in the corresponding
column of the table.
A+: very important, should be increased more A: important B: fair, necessary in the curricula
C: not necessary in the curricula
* Soil structure interaction topic should be covered by the same lecturer to get more in depth knowledge, because both
lecturers start form the very basic (repetation) and finished without properly wraping the topic due to lack of time, also
we like to learn more in depth which is not possible from one class from a lecturer. Same way structural reliablty topic
should be covered by one lecturer.
Thank you very much for your kind cooperation!
Bridge Engineering I & II, contents are almost similar.
(4) In which lectures are more practices and/ or exercises needed?
Structural Reliability
(5) Are the site observation and study trips appropriate?
Yes.
(6) If you have some comments or suggestions on this training program (program making, methods of study, lectures,
materials, facilities, etc.), it is of great help for us in improving the future curricula in IISEE..Please describe
comments or suggestions, if any.
(3) Do you think that some lectures have repetition with others?
If yes, which ones?
Q2: Please feel free to write any comments on the following points.
(1) So far, do the lectures cover most of the fields that are necessary for the study of Earthquake Engineering?
If not, please describe missing ones.
(2) Do you think that some of the lectures are not necessary in the course?
If yes, please describe them and the reasons.
