Questions from probability, permutation & combination, mathematical reasoning were the tough

2007:
/ea%ing comprehension section so far consiste% of small passages ranging from 0 1 # in

$uestions %eman% a high ,nowle%ge of &ocabulary. Else they ran the ris, of getting sol&e%
incorrectly. There were $uestions of the type li,e: fill in the blan,s 3%ouble blan,s4, synonyms,
antonyms, analogies 3with two wor%s an% three wor%s4. *ome of the wor%s were $uite %ifficult,
e.g, mirific, concinnity, etc. )ere the $uestions, e&en the analogies, re$uire% a bit of thought
an% soun% concepts.+n +ttempt of '2 $uestions in a time limit of 0 minutes with a accuracy
le&el of 5! will be sufficient to clear cutoff of this section. Possible scores can be "#6"-.
2008:
This section comprise% $uestions on &erbal ability as well as rea%ing comprehension. There
were "' $uestions on rea%ing comprehension an% "5 on &erbal ability. The passages were of
me%ium length with mostly %irect $uestions an% a few inferential $uestions. The $uestions on
7rammar were fairly simple, but they e8pecte% you to ,now the basic concepts of grammar an%
rea% the instructions carefully. There were $uestions of the type li,e: fill in the blan,s 3%ouble
blan,s4, synonyms, antonyms an% analogies. *ome of the wor%s were $uite %ifficult, e.g.,
si%ereal, moribun%, tractable, etc.+ possible attempt in this section woul% be "- to ' $uestions

Logical Reasoning
2007:
The logical reasoning section in JMET is a combination of English an% 9umerical
/easoning.This section was of mo%erate le&el of %ifficulty because the $uestions were a mi8 of
easy an% %ifficult ones. The attempts shoul% ha&e been in ,eeping with the le&el of comfort one
en:oys in a particular sub6section. ;ith 52! accuracy, a score of "-6"5 was achie&able.
2008:
This section ha% $uestions base% on &erbal reasoning as well as logical reasoning.
(n &erbal reasoning, there were the usual constructs li,e syllogisms, :umble% paragraphs, critical
reasoning 3with a focus on fallacies in reasoning4, course of action an% statement conclusion
type. *ome of the $uestions were similar to logical reasoning in that they re$uire% a passing
,nowle%ge of mathematical concepts. The $uestions in this set were time consuming, as they
re$uire% soun% un%erstan%ing of the $uestion. + possible attempt in this section woul% be "2 to

Data Interpretation:
2007:
This section has remaine% the easiest of all the 4 an% re$uires mere spee% in&ol&ing
mathematical calculations an% goo% obser&ation of %etails. *o far this was %efinitely a section to
ma8imi<e the o&erall score %epen%ing on one=s s,ills.
2008:
+lthough the $uestions were easy, the $uestions with true>false as options re$uire% scanning of
all the options, which ma%e the problems slightly time consuming. )owe&er, no lengthy
calculations were re$uire%, unli,e pre&ious years? papers. *ome of the $uestions ha% %ata gi&en
in tabulate% form an% re$uire% simple mathematical concepts with logical thin,ing to sol&e them.
