WE WONT LEAVE HERE
LIKE WE CAME
We wont leave here like we came,
In Jesus Name.
Bound, oppressed, aficted,
Sick or lame; For the spirit of the Lord
Is stll the same, We wont leave here
Like we came, in Jesus Name.
7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
ACTS 3:1-10 (NIV)
1
One day Peter and John were going up to
the temple at the tme of prayerat three
in the afernoon.
2
Now a man who was lame
from birth was being carried to the temple
gate called Beautful, where he was put every
day to beg from those going into the temple
courts.
3
When he saw Peter and John about
to enter, he asked them for money.
4
Peter
looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter
said, Look at us!
5
So the man gave them his
atenton, expectng to get something from
them.
6
Then Peter said, Silver or gold I do not have,
but what I do have I give you. In the name of
Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.
7
Taking him by
the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly
the mans feet and ankles became strong.
8
He
jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he
went with them into the temple courts, walk-
ing and jumping, and praising God.
9
When
all the people saw him walking and praising
God,
10
they recognized him as the same man
who used to sit begging at the temple gate
called Beautful, and they were flled with
wonder and amazement at what had hap-
pened to him.
11:00 a.m.
ACTS 3:1-10 (The Message)
1-5
One day at three oclock in the afernoon,
Peter and John were on their way into the
Temple for prayer meetng. At the same tme
there was a man crippled from birth being
carried up. Every day he was set down at the
Temple gate, the one named Beautful, to beg
from those going into the Temple. When he
saw Peter and John about to enter the Temple,
he asked for a handout. Peter, with John at his
side, looked him straight in the eye and said,
Look here. He looked up, expectng to get
something from them.
6-8
Peter said, I dont have a nickel to my name,
but what I do have, I give you: In the name of
Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk! He grabbed
him by the right hand and pulled him up. In
an instant his feet and ankles became frm. He
jumped to his feet and walked.
8-10
The man went into the Temple with them,
walking back and forth, dancing and praising
God. Everybody there saw him walking around
and praising God. They recognized him as the
one who sat begging at the Temples Gate
Beautful and rubbed their eyes, astonished,
scarcely believing what they were seeing.

Confession of Sins
Almighty and Most Merciful Father, we come before
You, acknowledging our sins, our shortcomings, and
our breaking of our Covenant with You.
Not only have we done things we ought not to have
done, said things we ought not to have said, lef
undone so many things we ought to have done and
been silent when we should have witnessed for You.
Not only are we guilty of that, O Lord; but we have also closed our eyes and
pretended not to see the injustces, the racism and the evil which pervade our
everyday lives.
We have shut our ears and pretended not to hear the cries for liberaton which
come from the lips, lives and hearts of the oppressed even our own Black
brothers and sisters!
Forgive us, O Lord, renew our courage and faith, and keep us ever mindful of Thy
great sacrifce. Hear us, we beseech Thee, as we come to You in love and worship
giving Your Name the praise forevermore.
******
To All Our Visitors ... To all who mourn and need comfortng ... To all who
are friendless and want friendship ... To all who are oppressed and need
liberaton; and to whosoever will come, Trinity opens its doors. Thank you
for coming, and may God bless you.
MINISTER: God of our weary years, God of our silent tears, we gather in this sacred space to
give voice to the silent tears and pain of the more 25,000 persons in Chicago and the more than
9.8 million persons globally who have been abducted, enslaved, exploited and forced into the
sex trafcking industry in the U.S. and the world. Women and girls ofen are disproportonately
impacted by sex trafcking. These are those whom we ofen misjudge without knowing the story
behind what we see with superfcial sight.
ALL: Like the blind man in Mathew 9, we believe that You can give us sight, so we cry out Son of
David, have mercy on us. Grant us a sight that will allow us to see both spiritual and physical pain
that the millions of girls, boys, women, and men who are enslaved by the sex trafcking industry
and the children in the U.S. who are at risk of being captves of the sex trafcking industry, an
unofcial, but very real form of incarceraton.
MINISTER: As a people with a history of enslavement, we know what it means to be held captve
and treated as less than precious people made in the image of God. Because of Jesus, we were
protected and able to endure and resist untl freedom came. Lord, because You do not change or
lie, we know that You are with the captves of this modern day slavery.
ALL: Jesus, we are asking that You be a hedge of protecton around our daughters, sons, sisters,
brothers, mothers, fathers, and neighbors who are the captves of sex trafcking, untl freedom
comes.
MINISTER: The world of sex and human trafcking is a dangerous space where trickery, drugs,
guns, emotonal, and physical violence are used as weapons of coercion and control. It generates
$32 billion dollars annually in the U.S. and victms are stripped of their God-given dignity. We pray
for healing and restoraton of those who are victms and those who are the perpetrators.
ALL: Jesus, we are your disciples. We know that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but rather a
spirit of power and of love and of self-discipline. Open our eyes, ears, and hearts, so that we can
hear the silent cries of the captves. Grant us the courage to proclaim release to the captves and
recovery of sight to the blind; to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord. Lord,
do not let our feet stray from the path of restoraton, freedom, and justce for both the victms and
the perpetrators. Help us keep fghtng, untl every captve is set free! Ase.

Then I said to them, You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been burned with
fre. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace. . . . They replied, Let us start
rebuilding. So they began this good work.

has the breath of life in itI give every green
plant for food. And it was so.
July Job 38:4-7 (NIV)
Where were you when I laid the earths
