ElsaWin 3.2 can be installed under Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 and Windows XP Professional.

1 Scope of supply

The information system ElsaWin 3.2 comprises:

Setup CD (only approved for importers)
Update CD (importers and dealers)
Data SEAT in CDs or DVD (importers and dealers)

2 Preparations for program installation of ElsaWin 3.2.

In order to be able to perform proper installation of Elsa Version 3.2 under Windows NT
4.0/Windows 2000/Windows XP Professional, it is necessary to check first of all which
components and programs are installed on your computer.

The components and programs required for ElsaWin 3.2 that depend on the deployed
operating system can be found in the separate instructions " Installation
instructions for Utility CD".

Note: Make sure that all the clients are logged off during the installation on
the server unless you wish to perform a standalone installation!

An installation can only be carried out by the system administrator. Prior to
installation, log on to your system as administrator.

3 Installation/Update of Elsa (CD setup / CD Update)
3.1 Server and single PC

Note: If you have the update CD of ELSA 3.2, it is necessary to have already installed
Elsa 3.1 in your computer; otherwise you will not be able to install the update with this
CD. In that case please contact with the Elsa Support of your importer.

Please log on to the server or single PC as administrator.
Insert the ELSA Setup CD or Update CD in the CD drive and perform the following steps:
Click on the "Start" button in the lower Windows start bar. In the start menu, select <Run>.
Enter: "R:\setup.exe (R:\ is your CD drive) and confirm with the "Enter" key.
Please select the installation language and click on "Next>".

Please close all other applications and click on "Weiter" (Next).

You are asked to enter the serial number. Please enter the serial number (see cases a and b) and click
on "Weiter" (Next).
a) In case of a complete installation you will need to introduce the following serial number:
XXX-YYYYY-32-0002088570-00008 (XXX is the imponer number and YYYYY is the dealer number).
b) In case of a programme update from version 3.1, you will need to make the following modification in
the serial number that appears on the window: Instead of 31- you must write 32-. The rest of the
serial number remains unchanged. The final code of ElsaWin 3.2 remains the same as for version 3.1.

Please check your serial number once again and then click on "Ja" (Yes).

You are asked to make a selection with regard to the information medium Apos. The default
selection appears.
Select "Nur Arbeitspositionen ( Apos )" (Only repair operations (Apos)) if there is no interface to
DMS.

Select "Arbeitspositionen ( Apos ) und Paket Auskunft Service System ( PASS )" (Repair
operations (Apos) and Package Information Service System (PASS)) in the case of Vaudis UNIX and
Vaudis NT DMS or in the case of another DMS with existing interface DMS BB (programming by
service provider possible separately).

The selection "Arbeitspositionen ( Apos ), Paket Auskunft Service System ( PASS ) mit
Redaktionssystem" (Repair operations (Apos), Pack Information Service System (PASS) with
editorial system) is used if there is to be active work in the dealership with PASS and the conditions of
the 2nd selection apply.

The selection "Selbstgenerierte Arbeitszeiten ( SAZ )" (Self-generated work times (SAZ)) remains
unused until further notice.

Confirm the selection with OK.

You now have the possibility to select additional languages. Please select the required languages and
click on "Weiter>" (Next>).

ElsaWin is installed in the proposed directory; please click on "Weiter>" (Next>).

ElsaWin is installed in the proposed program folder; please click on "Next>" (Next>).

In the following window, your configuration is displayed once again. Please click on "Weiter>" (Next>).
The copying process starts.

Only when you made a complete installation, once the program has been installed, you are asked to
enter a final code. You receive this from your system consultant or importer. Please print the displayed
information (fax form for code request) and fax it to your system consultant or importer. If you do not
receive the final code immediately, please click on "Schlieen" (Close). You can now use ElsaWin for
30 days. Later, you have the possibility in the administration service of ElsaWin to enter the final code
(refer to chapter4). ElsaWin can then be used for an unlimited period. There, you can also print the fax
form for the code request later, provided you have configured a printer.

Once the input has been made in the field "Endgltiger Code" (Final code) or is currently not possible,
please confirm with OK.

Now click on "Beenden" (Exit).

In most cases, the server now reboots. If this does not occur automatically, please restart the server
and then log on once again as administrator.

3.2 Now the data has to be installed.
The data will be installed as allways.

4 ElsaWin administration service for the local administrator
In the ElsaWin administration service, you have the possibility to include new ElsaWin users or change
users, to print the fax form for the code request, or to enter the final code.

So that the information media in ElsaWin can be used in full, at least one user without administration
rights - apart from the administrator - must have been configured. This user and all additionally required
users are then used to log on to ElsaWin. It makes sense for the local administrator to configure a
separate user with a separate password for each person that is to use ElsaWin.

In this connection, please start the file on your desktop.
Log on with your ElsaWin administrator access, or use the following access.

Benutzername (User name): admin
Kennwort (Password): admin

To configure users, refer to point 4.2.

4.1 Code

Open the menu "Dienste" (Services) and select the 'CodeCodeabfrage' (CodeCode request) item.

You now have the possibility to enter the final code. You receive this from your system consultant or
importer. Please print the displayed information and fax it to your system consultant or importer. Please
enter the final code and click on "OK". ElsaWin can then be used for an unlimited period.

Without an entry, ElsaWin can only be used for 30 days.
However, the program can be enabled by means of the Elsa administration after the 30 days have
elapsed.

4.2 Configuring users

If you are logged on as administrator in the ELSA administration service, open the menu at Dienste
(Services) and select the item Benutzer einrichten (Configure users).

First of all, enter the corresponding name at 'Zuname' (Last name). The 'Benutzername' (User name)
text box is filled automatically. Enter the first name in the text box below this.

Select the standard language required for the user and confirm with 'Weiter' ('Next').

If the user to be configured is to have administration rights, mark the check box Administration.

Assign and confirm a password (Kennwort). Click on 'Weiter' ('Next').

First of all, assign your three-digit sales centre/importer number. In the lower text box,
enter your five-digit dealer number.
By clicking on the bernehmen (Apply) button, you can subsequently assign more sales
centre/importer numbers and dealer numbers. Please ensure that you pay attention to the check box
Standardbetrieb (Standard dealership). As standard, it is marked.

Thereafter, you receive an overview of the selection you have made. If it is correct, confirm with 'Weiter'
(Next).

You are then asked to configure the preconfigured user. Click on 'Erstellen' (Create).

To conclude, you receive another confirmation that the user has been configured; click on OK. You
have now configured the first user. Use the same procedure to configure other users.

4.3 Configuring the standard dealership for a user

It is compulsory to configure every user! Note: No order records are displayed for users that are
not configured!

Please select the user you want to configure.

Open the "Dienste" (Services) menu and the "Benutzer einrichten" (Configure users) item.

In the dialogue that appears, please click on "Concesionarios" (Dealerships).

In the text box Host User ID, the corresponding User ID (if present) of the user has been entered. This
User ID is no longer used for host integration to vehicle identification. As of ElsaWin Version 2.6,
this field remains blank.

The Administration right should only be assigned to the user who is to run the administration of
ElsaWin.

In the dialogue that follows, please specify the number your sales centre or importer number, or select
it from the list. Please also specify your dealer number/dealership number, or select it from the list.
Then click on "Hinzufgen" (Add). Your dealership then appears in the field "Zugeordnete Betriebe"
(Assigned dealerships).

Please select the dealership in the field "Zugeordnetet Betriebe" (Assigned dealerships) to which you
want to assign the user and then enable "Standardbetrieb" (Standard dealership). Please click on "OK".

Then click on "OK" once again.

5 Client installation

After the server installation, observe the points listed at "2. Preparations for the program installation" for
each ELSA client.

Installation via existing network

Start the Windows Explorer.
Double-click on "Network environment
In the right-hand Explorer window, select the ELSA server.
In the directory \ElsaWin\, open the 'Client' folder.
Start exe. with a double-click.
Please close all other application programs and click on "Weiter" (Next).

In the following window, your configuration is displayed once again. Please click on "Weiter>" (Next>).
The copying process starts.

This concludes the installation. Please click on "Beenden" (Exit).

If the system requests a reboot at this point, please reboot.
