TECHNOLOGY
SHEDIR is a street lighting solar system developed by Istar Solar after many
years of studies and researches.
This is a very efcient and autonomous system that can light up streets, crossings,
parking areas, gardens and many other places where the grid is missing or where
people cannot make excavations or cables connections, with many advantages
in comparison with the traditional streetlights with Sox lamp.
Our solar streetlight system has a low consumption lamp with only 50 Watt and an
average lifetime up to 100.000 hours.
During the day the PV module produces energy that is stored into the battery, and
after sunset is used to switch on the led lamp. In the morning, the built-in twilight
sensor switch off the lamp.
There are many possibilities to regulate the system, setting half power working
time (from 0 to 9 hours) or switch on the lamp (from 0 to 15 hours) after sunset.
SHEDIR is a smart street light system with high performances, reduced weight,
space, number of modules, batteries and components needed, and therefore with
lower costs.
Its very easy to install and its a very useful, efcient and completely autonomous
system in case of black out.

Note: the lighting system are sized to operate approx. 12 hours/night, with a range of 3 days of autonomy without no sun. However, in
conditions of bad weather and/or not optimal exposure of the modules, the batteries may completely discharge and the lamp will remain
off until there are suitable conditions for charging the battery.
