S
aviours Day is an annual Nation of Islam com-
memoration of the birth of Master Fard Muhammad,
the Great Madhi of the Muslims and the Messiah of
the Christians who appeared in North America on July 4,
1930 and declared that the 400 years of bondage Blacks
served in America had ended.
His coming and declaration fullls many scriptures;
however, perhaps most notable is the fulllment of the
promise God made to Abraham that his descendents
would endure bondage in a strange land among a strange
peoplebefore God Himself would deliver Abrahams
seed and judge the nation they served. Master Fard Mu-
hammad was born February 26, 1877 in the Holy City
of Mecca. He raised and taught the Honorable Elijah
Muhammad, who dedicated over 40 years of his life to
the resurrection of the mentally, morally, spiritually and
economically dead so-called American Negro. Each year
he would convene Saviours Day and deliver a major ad-
dress and expound on the divine wisdom given to him by
Master Fard Muhammad.
After the 1975 departure of the Honorable Elijah Mu-
hammad, in September of 1977, the Honorable Minister
Louis Farrakhan made the decision to rebuild the work
of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and reestablish the
Nation of Islam. Under Min. Farrakhans leadership,
Saviours Day returned in 1981 in Chicago. In 1981, the
Hon. Min. Louis Farrakhan changed the spelling of the
commemoration from Saviours Day, as it had been, to
the plural Saviours Day. He explained during a message
delivered in Gary, Ind., that the change meant that not
only was Master Fard Muhammad the Saviour for the
Black Man and Woman of America, but that the Muslims
in the Nation of Islam had the mission of delivering the
word and doing the work of resurrection as little sav-
iours for the suffering masses of Blacks in America and
suffering people around the world.
Thousands now attend the convention, which has
grown to include workshops, health screenings, lively
discussions, fashion shows and entertainment, social
and educational activities for children and families, the
Salaam Expo bazaar and closes with a major address
delivered by Min. Farrakhan. It is a joyful and spirited

S
ome of Black Americas leading political, social, business,
sports and entertainment giants have participated in and
supported SavioursDay conventions. International guests
are featured and come to participate in its full schedule of ac-
tivities. The advent of the Internet has provided another way
for people around the globe to enjoy aspects of the conven-
tion and access information. Saviours Day has most often
been held in Chicago, but previous gatherings have also been
held in Gary, Ind., Detroit, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Washington,
D.C. and an International Saviours Day was held in Accra,
Ghana in 1994, drawing thousands to the Motherland.
This years convention is Feb. 21-24 at the Hilton Hotel
in Downtown Chicago, Ill., serving as the gatherings head-
quarters. Min. Farrakhan will deliver his traditional Sav-

The Honorable Minister Louis
Farrakhan will once again offer the
Honorable Elijah Muhammads
Economic Program to the world
Feb. 24 with his annual Saviours
Day keynote address entitled,
Muhammads Economic
Blueprint: Ending Poverty and
Want.
In 1964, the Honorable Elijah
Muhammad presented a simple
guide to help Blacks achieve
true economic independence
and equality. The Three-Year
Economic Program hinges on four
basic points: Blacks must stop
unnecessary spending; leaders
and teachers must meet to discuss
solutions to Black Americas
problems; Blacks must stop
ignoring his divine guidance on
their plight in America; and Black
America must accept a program
from the Divine Supreme Being.
You have neither produced
a better program nor anything
to equal it. Your present plans
are involved in one of the most
disgraceful programsespecially
you who boast that you are free and
want freedom, Justice and equality
with your slave-masters by sitting,
standing and begging to be accepted
as the brothers of those who, for
400 years, have brought you into
your present condition, and have
made you a people unwanted by
the civilized nations of the earth,
the Honorable Elijah Muhammad
wrote in his book Message to the
Black Man in America, in 1965.
He also introduced the Economic
Blueprint, which calls in part for
unity in group operations, pooling
resources, and ending wanton
criticisms of everything Black-
owned.
The Honorable Elijah
Muhammad used donated money
to buy farmland, open grocery
stores, bakeries, restaurants,
a school, a bank, a printing
press, purchase properties,
other businesses and engage in
international trade and domestic
commerce.
Minister Farrakhan has
followed the blueprint of his
teacher, re-establishing the Three-
Year Economic Program in 1991.
In December 1994, the Nation of
Islam purchased 1,557 acres of

In April 2004, the Nation of Islam

mortgage balances on Muhammad

serves as the Chicago residence
of the head of the N.O.I., and the
National Center in Chicago, which
consists of Mosque Maryam

introduced the P.O.W.E.R. concept
and a year later, a line of personal

Black economic development

Minister Louis Farrakhan
in working nonstop for the ad-
vancement of Black people for
nearly six decades has added
yet another tool to his arse-
nal of liberation in helping to
spread the message of truth
based on the teachings of The
Honorable Elijah Muhammad.
The tool of choice is social
media.
The Minister has embraced
modern technology, enabling
him to reach a new generation
of hearts and minds by shar-
ing nuggets of wisdom with
143,000 Twitter followers,
which is increasing daily, as
well as through Facebook and
excerpts of his lectures and
speeches available on You-
Tube.
Potentially, millions of peo-
ple worldwide are able to see
and hear Min. Farrakhan for
themselves rather than relying
on myths and misconceptions
so often portrayed about him
in mainstream media outlets
as well as the venom spewed
online.
On the evening of Septem-
ber 26, 2012 Min. Farrakhan
made history once again par-
ticipating the first ever #Ask
Farrakhan Social Media Q&A,
at the historic Final Call Ad-
ministration Building on Chi-
cagos South Side.
Min. Farrakhan answered a
mere fraction of the more than
800 questions submitted via
and email by people anxious to
receive his guidance, opinions
and keen insight. The people
sending in questions varied as
well, as folks from the U.S.,
Canada, Africa and Mexico
posed questions. A great num-
ber of questions were asked by
young people.
No topic was off limits as

spread life and light, Minister
Farrakhan recently requested
that members of the Nation of

post comments they find in-
teresting and informative on
social media sites in an ef-
fort to generate civil dialogue
and discussion based on the
guidance and knowledge he
shares.

THE TIME AND WHAT MUST BE DONE
H I S T O R I C L E C T U R E P R E M I E R E S I N 2 0 1 3
CHICAGOIn a wide-ranging interview,
the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan of-
fered analysis of the year that was and insight
into what is to come in 2013 and announced an
historic 52-week series of messages, The Time
and What Must Be Done. The important series
of lectures ofcially started Jan. 12 at 6pm Cen-
tral Time via the Internet at www.noi.org/the-
time. The series is also running on cable access
television, radio and available on MP3/DVD.
Among the issues and topics addressed in
the pre-lecture kick off interview were concerns
about the misuse of entertainment and culture,
the serious implications of the popular movie
Django in the current racial climate, rising vio-
lence in a society spinning out of control, chal-
lenges facing President Obama, international
affairs and the Nation of Islam ministers con-
tinued effort to reach Black youth.
The New Years Day roundtable discussion
was conducted by the editor of The Final Call,
assistant editor Ashahed Muhammad, and staff
writer Starla Muhammad at the newspapers of-
ces.
We intend for the next 52 weeks to deal
with the subject that was given by the Honor-
able Elijah Muhammad, The Time and What
Must Be Done. The Honorable Elijah Muham-
mad nished his time among us with a series of
lectures called the Theology of Time. And we
in this time want our people to understand that
time is the yardstick that judges our actions,
said Min. Farrakhan.
If we understand that we are supposed to
be free men and women, then we must not act
as slaves, that as the Honorable Elijah Muham-
mad taught me is not good subject and verb
agreement. We are in the present and our ac-
tions should not be of the past mentality of a
slave who sits around begging others, give me,
give me, give me, give me. No. Im free
now; let me do something for myself. But you
(America) should help usbecause we gave
you all that we had, 310 years of chattel slavery,
150 years as a free slave. We built the economy
of the South that fueled the industrial revolution
of the North, he said.
Its time now for the Black man and wom-
an to realize its on us to make a future for our-
by Richard B. Muhammad

@RMFinalCall
selves, and our children and our unborn genera-
tions. And I will be doing everything I can in this
year to provide that guidance but I am telling you
as the Quran says, By the time surely man is in
loss, except those who believe and do good and
enjoin one another to truth and enjoin one another
to patience. The time will judge our actions and if
our actions are not correspondent to the time we
will continue down the road of intense regret over
great loss, Min. Farrakhan added.
Since the series has begun airing the Minister
has dealt with a variety of subjects including the
implications of divine time, violation of divine
law, and the need for America and her people,
Black and White, to make a decision regarding
life and whether to live in accord with divine in-
junctions or under a system of rulership and life
that is contrary to scripture and the will of the di-
vine Supreme Being.
He has warned ghting against the divine Su-
preme Being is futile as America is punished for
her refusal to let the Black man and woman go
fully and completely. You cant ght God and
win! said Minister Farrakhan. He turns nature
against you and hes doing that as we speak!
Since the lecture series has begun the United
States has seen major snow storms and intense
weather strike the Northeastern parts of the coun-
try and tornadoes and some ooding have hit the
South. The nation has already been gripped by
drought that affected crops usually grown or pro-
duced during the winter growing season.
You dont like what Im saying and you wish
I would stop and some of you will try to stop me,
thats entirely up to you, but remember, when you
plan against me, the plan is already against you,
and to prove it, hes going to increase the calami-
ties shortly after you hear this message, the Min-
ister has warned.
The country has seen growing incidents of vi-
olence and mass shootings, with perhaps the most
notable the killing of 20 children and six adults
in a school in Sandy Hook, Conn. The shooting
of Hadiya Pendleton in Chicago, a short distance
from the presidents home and a week after par-
ticipating in his inauguration with her high school
band, brought international attention to the prob-
lem of urban violence inside America.
Minister Farrakhan has appealed to the gov-
ernment and the America, people to consider and
accept the guidance of the Hon. Elijah Muham-
mad and the divine solution he offers to the prob-
lem of Black and White. He has also warned that
many things done by the American government
are not in the best interest of the American people.
The scripture says that Satan deceived the
whole world. This is because the people did not
know Satan and they didnt have a correct knowl-
edge of God, for the revelation of one is the rev-
elation of the other, he said.
Minister Farrakhan has stressed the ap-
pearance of the Great Mahdi expected by Is-
lamic scholar, Master Fard Muhammad, the
teacher of Elijah Muhammad is this power-
ful person, he said. The Great Mahdi whom
the Islamic scholars admit is coming into the
world is a human being, born of a woman,
but anointed with the power to crush the
wicked, said the Minister. Crushing the
wicked is the power of God in a human be-
ing. God has every right to give to a human
his power, as long as that human uses that
power in his name by his permission.
The Mahdi of the Muslims is the same
as The Christ of the Christians because he
is anointed with power, said the Minister.
He didnt anoint himself. The ever-liv-
ing God anointed The Mahdi with the power
to sit down every tyrant and to set justice in
the Earth, he added. When God comes,
he has to come with the power to sit Satan
down, to destroy his world, but the rst thing
God does, is to raise up a man that is referred
to in the Holy Quran as well as in the Bible
as Masih or Messiah. The Honorable Elijah
Muhammad has been raised to that exalted
and powerful position, he said.
The Minister recalled the words of the
New Testament where it is written there
would be earthquakes in diverse places,
famine, pestilence, nation rising against na-
tion and kingdom rising against kingdom.
To qualify the person who is giving
us the knowledge of the time and why we
should listen to such a man, we have said of
him that he is the eternal leader of the Nation
of Islam, said Min. Farrakhan. The Honor-
able Elijah Muhammad is the most qualied
man on our planet to teach the knowledge
of the time for he is one that God himself
has raised up to teach such knowledge, and I
am his student and I am his representative.

THE SAVIOUR,
HIS MESSIAH
AND
THEIR SERVANT IN OUR MIDST
osity of this distinguished yet mysterious man from the East. Mr. Muhammads wife rst learned of the Temple
of Islam and wanted to attend to see what the commotion was all about, but instead, her husband advised her
that he would go and see for himself.
In Autumn of 1931, Elijah Poole attended his rst lecture by Master Fard Muhammad and was over-
whelmed by the message and immediately accepted it. With the great spiritual inspiration Mr. Muhammad
received from his visit to the Temple of Islam, he was able to convince his entire family to embrace Islam.
The Founder of the Nation of Islam gave Elijah the surname Karriem and made him a minister. Later he
was promoted to the position of Supreme Minister and his name was changed to Muhammad.
A NEW MAN
The name Poole was never my name nor was it my fathers name, he would later write. It was the name
of the White slave master of my grandfather after the so-called freedom of my fathers.
Mr. Muhammad, in the early 1930s, along with 25,000 other Believers in Detroit, quickly worked to help
this great man from the East build the so-called Lost and Found Nation of Islam. Over the course of the next
three-and-one-half years, Minister Muhammad was personally taught by his Teacher non-stop.
The Muslim community, in addition to establishing religious centers of worship, began to start businesses.
Mr. Muhammad established a newspaper, The Final Call to Islam, in 1934. Much of this newspapers content
contained religious editorials and transcripts of lectures delivered inside the Temple of Islam, as it was known.
This publication would be the rst of many publications he would produce.
Meanwhile, Mr. Muhammad and the Muslim parents were so inspired that they worked to establish schools
for the proper education of their children. Indeed, the Muslim parents felt that the educational system of the
State of Michigan was wholly inadequate.
By 1934, the Michigan State Board of Education disagreed with the Muslims right to pursue their own edu-
cational agenda, and the Muslim teachers and temple secretary were jailed on the false charge of contributing
to the delinquency of minors. In response to the states denial of the Muslims right to educate their children,
Mr. Muhammad committed himself to jail after learning what had happened. Eventually the charges were
dropped, school ofcials freed and Mr. Muhammad given six months probation. Mr. Muhammads stance
on Islamic education remained rm and the religious community continued to resist placing Muslim children
under White Christian teachers. In September of that same year, he moved to the city of Chicago, where his
Teacher had already set up an Islamic settlement.
After several incidents of police harassment against Master W. Fard Muhammad in Detroit and Chicago,
he continued to preach the Great Truth of salvation to the people. He taught and trained the Hon. Elijah
Muhammad night and day.
Upon the Masters departure, under the veil of mystery in 1934, he chose Mr. Muhammad to be his Divine
Representative in continuing this most difcult task of bringing truth and light to his lost and found people.
By 1935, Mr. Muhammad faced many new challenges. A death plot arose among a few
disgruntled members who wanted the leadership position, and Mr. Muhammad took ight,
not in fear, but as he said, to preserve the peace and carry out his Teachers instructions,
which were to go to Washington, D.C., visit the Library of Congress and research 104
books on the religion of Islam and other subjects. He was on the run from enemies for the
next seven years.
THE SAVIOUR: MASTER FARD MUHAMMAD
Master Fard Muhammad, the Founder of the Nation of Islam, was born on February 26, 1877. Saviours
Day, an annual Nation of Islam celebration, commemorates His birth.
On July 4th, the day of Americas Independence celebration, a Wise Master came to America from the
Holy City of Mecca. He Revealed Himself publicly for the rst time in 1930.
He announced the beginning of His mission which was to restore and to resurrect His lost and found
people, who were identied as the original members of the Tribe of Shabazz from the Lost Nation of Asia.
The lost people of the original nation in the wilderness of North America were captured, exploited and
dehumanized to serve as slaves for over three centuries. His Mission was to teach the downtrodden and
defenseless Black people a thorough knowledge of God and of themselves, and to put them on the road to
self-independence with a superior culture and higher civilization than they had previously experienced.
He taught us the ways of love and peace, of truth and beauty. We are being led into the path of a new
spiritual culture and civilization of complete harmony and peace, one of renement in the pursuit of happiness
and eternal joy in the Supreme Knowledge of God and the Science of everything in life.
In 1931, The Master was preaching this Great Truth of salvation when He met a man named Elijah Poole
in Detroit, Michigan. He taught the Honorable Elijah Muhammad the profound Secret Wisdom of the Reality
of God, which included the hidden knowledge of the original people who were the rst founders of civilization
of the Planet and who had a full knowledge of the Universal Order of Things from the beginning of the Divine
Creation.
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad identied The Master as being The answer to The One that the world
had been expecting for the past 2,000 years under the names Messiah, The second coming of Jesus, The
Christ, Jehovah, God, and The Son of Man. When the Honorable Elijah Muhammad asked Him to identify
Himself, He replied that He was the Mahdi.
He signed His name in 1933 as Master Wallace Fard Muhammad to express the meaning of One Who
had come in the Early Morning Dawn of the New Millennium to lay the base for a new world order of Peace
and Righteousness on the foundation of Truth and Justice; to put down tyrants and to change the world into
a Heaven on Earth.
HIS MESSIAH: THE MOST HONORABLE ELIJAH MUHAMMAD
Nearly three decades after President Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves with the Emancipation
Proclamation, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad was born on or about Oct. 7, 1897. Mr. Muhammad was
born the seventh child of 12 to William (later named Wali) and Marie Poole, in Sandersville, Ga. Due to poor
record keeping by government ofcials, the exact date of his birth remains unknown, according to historians
and family members. Nevertheless, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said his birth took place some time
between the rst or second week of October 1897 and established Oct. 7 as the anniversary date of his birth.
His lifes accomplishments and achievements have made a major impact on both Black and White
America. Like few other gures in American history, he quite simply reconstructed society.
The accomplishments of the Muslims, under his direction, were dramatic. He achieved never before seen
results in the areas of religion, politics, social interaction, economic development, and international affairs for
the so-called American Negro. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad, in the dawning of the 21st century, remains
a key gure whose program and position shapes the destiny of the new century and millennium.
From humble beginnings, Mr. Muhammads early life in the rural south was hard. In order to help his family
survive, Mr. Muhammad had to leave school after the third grade to work in the elds as a sharecropper. His
skills in problem solving and conict resolution were beginning to show during his childhood. In many
instances, when disputes arose among the children even before they reached their parents or
neighbors, Mr. Muhammad would solve the problems, according to family members.
Prior to the Roaring Twenties, Mr. Muhammad married Clara Evans. Nov. 2, 1999
marked the centennial of the birth of Mother Clara Muhammad, who made her
transition in 1972. During the early days of their marriage, economic opportuni-
ties in the south for Black families declined and racial hatred continued to
rise. Hence, Mr. Muhammad moved his young family in 1923 to Detroit,
Mich., in search of better economic and social circumstances, as did
many other Black families at the time.
By the end of the 1920s, both Black and White America plunged into
the bowels of severe economic misery following the stock market crash
of 1929. Hard times would force many people to go on relief. Lynchings,
race riots, that is, Whites attacking defenseless Blacks, and other forms
of terrorism against Blacks at the hands of Whites continued unabated.
Detroit, with its huge population of 1.5 million people, including
250,000 Blacks, was beginning to see changes in its social scene. On
July 4, 1930, the long awaited Saviour of the Black man and woman,
Master W. Fard Muhammad, appeared in this city. He announced and
preached that God is One, and it was now time for Blacks to return to
the religion of their ancestors, Islam.
News spread all over the city of Detroit of the great things taking
place on Hastings Street brought about by the benevolence and gener-

During this period, he was known under many names:
Mr. Evans (his wifes maiden name), Ghulam Bogans,
Muhammad Rassoull, Elijah Karriem and Mohammed
of U Street. He also personally founded and established
the mosque in Washington, D.C. Americas war with Japan
and Germany gave rise to the draft. On May 8, 1942, Mr.
Muhammad was arrested in Washington, D.C., allegedly for
draft evasion. When the call was made for all males between
18 and 44, I refused (NOT EVADED) on the grounds that, rst,
I was a Muslim and would not take part in wars and especially
not on the side with the indels, he wrote in Message to the
Blackman.
Second, I was 45 years of age and was NOT, according
to the law, required to register. Many other male members
of the Nation of Islam at that time were imprisoned for being
conscientious objectors to World War.
NATION GROWS DESPITE PERSECUTION
After World War II ended, Mr. Muhammad gained his
release from prison and returned to Chicago. From Chicago,
the central point of the Nation of Islam, Mr. Muhammad
worked hard to expand the Nations membership. Among the
many new members to enroll in the ranks of Islam, during this
time, was Brother Malcolm X.
During the 1950s, Mr. Muhammad promoted Minister
Malcolm X to the post of national spokesman, and began to
syndicate his weekly newspaper column, Mr. Muhammad

Speaks, in Black newspapers across the country. By 1955,
Min. Farrakhan, then known as entertainer Louis Wolcott,
enrolled in the Nation of Islam after hearing Mr. Muhammad
deliver a Saviours Day speech in Chicago.
In Washington, D.C., when Mr. Muhammad delivered
his historic Uline Arena address in 1959, he was afforded
treatment worthy of a dignitary, including a police escort.
Persecution of the Muslims continued with attacks by
Whites in Monroe, La., Los Angeles, Calif., and Flint, Mich.,
and other places. Publicity in the White-owned-and-operated
media began to circulate anti-Nation of Islam propaganda on a
massive scale. By the early 1960s, Readers Digest described
Mr. Muhammad as the most powerful Black man in America.
Subsequently, television commentator Mike Wallace, in
conjunction with Louis Lomax, a Black journalist, aired the
documentary, The Hate that Hate Produced, on a local New
York City station.
The documentary misrepresented the message of the
Nation of Islam, calling it a hate teaching, James Baldwin, a
famous Black author, released the book, The Fire Next Time,
based largely on his interview with Mr. Muhammad.
THEIR SERVANT: THE HONORABLE
MINISTER LOUIS FARRAKHAN
Popularly known as The Charmer, Louis Wolcott had
achieved fame in Boston as a vocalist, calypso singer, dancer,
and violinist. However February 1955 marked a turning point
in the life of the talented performer. While headlining a show in
Chicago titled Calypso Follies the young virtuoso received
rave reviews. During this engagement, friends from Boston
invited him to attend the Nation of Islams Saviours Day
Convention at the newly purchased Muhammad Temple No.
2 at 5335 S. Greenwood Avenue.
Minister Malcolm X was informed that the popular
musician would attend the convention. While listening to the
Honorable Elijah Muhammad from his balcony seat, Louis
thought to himself, This man cant speak, referring to Mr.
Muhammads grammar. As these thoughts crossed his mind,
the Honorable Elijah Muhammad looked up in the balcony
and said, Dont pay no attention to how I say it. Pay attention
to what I say, then take it and put it into that ne language that
you know.
Louis Wolcott did not know that he had been given to the
Honorable Elijah Muhammad by Allah as a Saviours Day gift
to help in his great mission of giving life to millions of Black
people in the United States and millions of oppressed people
throughout the world.
Although music had been his rst love, within three
months after joining the Nation of Islam in 1955, Minister
Malcolm X informed members of the New York Mosque and
the new convert Louis X that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad
wanted all Muslims to get out of show business or get out of
the temple. Most musicians left Temple No. 7, but Louis X,
later renamed Louis Farrakhan, chose to dedicate his life to
the Teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.
After moving to Boston at the request of Malcolm X, Louis
X proved himself a capable, disciplined and well-mannered
soldier and eventually rose to the rank of minister. He worked
faithfully from 1956 as the Minister of Muhammad Temple No.
11 in Boston, Massachusetts, building it to become one of the
strongest temples in the Nation.
In May 1965, three months after the death of Malcolm
X, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad appointed Minister
Farrakhan to Temple No. 7 in New York City. When he arrived
in New York, the atmosphere was very hostile because of
allegations of Muslim involvement in the assassination.
Minister Farrakhan worked night and day in the Harlem
community and around New York restoring respect for the
Nation.
The departure of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad
in 1975 and the assumption of leadership by Wallace D.
Muhammad (later known as Imam W.D. Mohammed)
brought drastic changes to the Nation. After approximately
three years of wrestling with the changes to the Teachings of
the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Minister Farrakhan, after a
re-appraisal of the condition of Black people and the program
of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, decided to return to
the teachings and program with a proven ability to uplift and
reform his people.
His tremendous success is evidenced by mosques,
study groups and Believers in cities in America, Great
Britain, France, Canada, South Africa, Ghana, Jamaica,
Antiqua, Bahamas, Bermuda, Belize, Trinidad and
Tobago, Jamaica, Ghana and other countries, all devoted
to the Teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.
Minister Farrakhan has renewed respect for the
Honorable Elijah Muhammad, his teachings and
program, in rebuilding the Nation.
Literally millions of listeners have attended his
lectures and he has been welcomed in church after
church, sharing pulpits with Christian ministers from a
variety of denominations showing the power of the unity
of those who believe in the One God.
A devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather,
Minister Farrakhan still maintains a grueling work
schedule.

Black Scholarship Unchained!
New volume released from Nation of Islam researchers
BOOK REVIEW by Ashahed M. Muhammad
Assistant Editor
@AshahedM
2013
No man on the earth has been
slandered and vilied in the media
more than the Honorable Minister
Louis Farrakhan.
For several decades, he has been
the victim of a smear campaign
by Jewish organizations that have
labeled him a hater, a bigot, and
an anti-Semite. For decades, lies
and misinformation have been
spread in an effort to implicate him
in the murder of Malcolm X. At
one point following the successful
1995 Million Man March, several
prominent Christian pastors began to
call him the anti-Christ.
The Minister has suffered these
vicious and unrelenting assaults
on his character promulgated
primarily through inaccurate media
narratives consisting of outright
lies, half-truths, and deliberate
deceptionsnever using his
considerable inuence to retaliate
against his foes.
As a testament to their awesome
control of public knowledge, the
enemies of truth focus only on that
which they would like for you to
know. Whether in the area of politics,
history, economics, or science, many
booksespecially those designed
for academic useare presumed to
have been thoroughly evaluated by
impartial scholars and fact checkers.
But such is not the case. As we have
now learned, misrepresentation is the
rule, not the exception.
Thus the need for Defending
Farrakhan, Book 2.
Defending Farrakhan has
become its own phenomenon. Fan
pages are turning up on the Internet,
in social media as well as blogs
chronicling the contentious battle
between Minister Farrakhan and
inuential but extremely intolerant
groups within the racist Jewish
community, such as the Anti-
Defamation League of Bnai Brith,
the American Jewish Committee,
and the Simon Wiesenthal Center.
rewriting the history of the Black
Jewish relationship in the process.
Absorbing, thought-provoking and
compelling, Defending Farrakhan,
Book 2, is a must-have for your
library.
This book presents another volume
of essential information published
in the award-winning inuential
independent weekly The Final Call,
which has now entered into its 32nd
year of publishing. It also contains
never-before-published essays, seen
here for the rst time. The importance
of independent Black media that are
unafraid to publish the truth cannot
be underestimated. The value of these
writings will become more apparent
as time passes and events transpire.
Those within the Black
community who know Minister
Farrakhan beyond the insulting media
caricature are nally telling their story,
giving us a truer picture of the man
and his value to Black people. Those
who have beneted from his wise
and patient counsel, experienced his
generosity, and witnessed rsthand
Although the title is bold and
very clear, this book is not simply
a defense of Minister Farrakhan.
It is also a defense of the body of
knowledge he represents as the chief
exponent of the Teachings of the
Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad,
the patriarch and Eternal Leader of
the Nation of Islam.
In 416 pages you will experience
98 powerful articles by a new cadre
of fearless and aggressive scholars
who bluntly repel and defeat the
defamatory attacks against Minister
Farrakhan. Read as they expertly use
history, science, culture, and religion
to deliver bold, uncompromising
written commentary. Drawing their
weaponry from dusty archives,
hidden historical documents, and
the most current research, the writers
confront the wicked charge of anti-
Semitism with special fervor,
blasting away at the false premises
of American history and actually
his consistent love of Black people
see him clearly as a champion of the
people and a defender of the weak
and the downtrodden. He speaks for
the voiceless as a courageous and
steadfast advocate for the poor and
oppressed people of the world.
As Ive written before, if you
really want to destroy the enemies of
truth, then respond to their slanderous
mendacities with accurate data, actual
facts, and with their own words.
With the publication of Defending
Farrakhan and numerous other books
from the Nation of Islam Research
Group, it is clear that now is the time
to prepare to defend the one individual
who has reliably and consistently
stood in our defense.

The Honorable Minister Louis
Farrakhan opened his March visit
to Caribbean nations with a press
conference in the capitol city of
Trinidad. He called for Carib-
bean unity, cross racial efforts to
advance this island nation and
stressed the need for proper, inde-
pendent development for the West
Indies.
Speaking to the media at a
March 21 press conference at the
Hyatt Regency hotel in Port-of-
Spain, the Nation of Islam leader
beat back any suggestion his pres-
ence would further divide a place
where race and ethnicity often
bring political and social fractures.
At this critical moment in his-
tory, the West Indies must not be
marginalized, said Min. Farra-
khan.
That visit was tied to contin-
ued efforts to deliver a special and
vital message to the Caribbean.
Between December 2011 to De-
cember 2012, the Minister visited
A special message for the Caribbean
10 Caribbean nations and left mes-
sages especially targeted for the
region.
Politicians, educators, students,
religious and community leaders,
media and common people wel-
comed the Nation of Islam minis-
ters words and presence. Govern-
ment ofcials from every nation,
with the exception of Trinidad, met
with Min. Farrakhan to dialog and
benet from his message of nation-
al unity, national development, re-
gional progress and regional unity.
In Trinidad, the Opposition Leader
met with Min. Farrakhan.
In each nation Minister Far-
rakhan appeared on the major
television and radio stations and
was interviewed by the main daily
newspapers. In some cases radio
stations, even in other countries,
took a feed to broadcast the wis-
dom of the great student and rep-
resentative of the Honorable Elijah
Muhammad, patriarch of the Na-
tion of Islam.
In November 2012 in Grenada
Minister Farrakhan met with Prime
Minister Tilman Thomas and Op-
position Leader and former Prime
Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell.
In Barbados the Minister met
Prime Minister Frundel Stuart
and Opposition Leader and for-
mer Prime Minister Owen Arthur
as well as business and religious
leaders in addition to speaking at
the University of the West Indies
Cave Hill Campus and being a spe-
cial guest at the 46th Independence
Day Parade in Bridgetown.
In Dominica he met with Prime
Minister Roosevelt Skeritt and
other government representatives
and paid his respects at the grave
of former Prime Minister Rosie
Douglas, before addressing the
public at the Arawak Culture The-
atre. The next stop was the U.S.
Virgin Islands where Minister Far-
rakhan addressed the Legislature in
St. Thomas.
In St. Kitts the Minister en-
gaged in talks with Prime Minister
Dr. Denzel Douglas of St. Kitts &
Nevis.
In March 2013 in Trinidad and
Tobago, he met Opposition Lead-
er Dr. Keith Rowley and Senator
Fitzgerald Hinds before address-
ing overow audiences in two dif-
ferent venues. In Antigua he met
Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer
and Opposition Leader and for-
mer Prime Minister Lester Bird.
Afterwards in Cuba he sat with
President Raoul Castro and in Ja-
maica was a guest of Prime Min-
ister Portia Simpson Miller for the
countrys 50th Independence An-
niversary.
Thousands of lives were
touched, from the ofcers of the
police escort teams that provided
transportation and security to
media workers to people on the
streets. Many received DVDs and
CDs following the great events.
The teachings of the Honor-
able Elijah Muhammad have now
come of age and many of Carib-
bean government leaders revealed
they had listened to the Minis-
ters broadcasts, attended his
mass meetings or purchased The
Final Call newspaper in earlier
days while studying in the United
States.

PEACE
IN THE
STREETS
Deeply concerned about the fratricidal killing among Black youth, happening in cities all across
America, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan personally led the Fruit of Islam, the men of the
Nation of Islam into the streets to work for peace, lessen conict and inspire movement for progress.
Thousands of F.O.I. heeded the call of the nearly 80-year-old Muslim leader going to neighbor-
hoods in the hundreds of cities where there is a Nation of Islam mosque or study group including the
United Kingdom, isles of the Caribbean and Canada. Monday nights which is the normally scheduled
manhood training class for men of the Nation of Islam, extended outside to the boroughs, hoods and
barrios in cities, large and small.
Residents in some of the most dangerous and crime ridden areas came from their homes in
droves in Chicago, to greet Min. Farrakhan and the brothers, exchanging handshakes and hugs.
The Minister greeted young men and women with words of strength and encouragement, while many
had written off most of them and their neighborhoods as unredeemable and not worthy of love, time
or attention.
The Muslims distributed free DVDs of Min. Farrakhans lecture series, Justiable Homicide:
See pages 34 & 35 for Peace in the Streets photo essay.
Black Youth in Peril, handed out copies of The Final Call news-
paper as well as copies of the 1995 Million Man March Pledge.
Women in neighborhoods broke down and cried, happy to see
the Minister and the F.O.I. Children ran up to Min. Farrakhan, he
hugged them. Mothers presented youngsters saying, Theres
Farrakhan and the brothers!

Minister Louis Farrakhan continued his focus
on developing the minds of the next generation
of Black leaders and thinkers delivered messages
to students on college campuses across the entire
United States. in 2012,
At Chicago State University, January 25, he
encouraged the students to break free from the
educational system that has been set up by their
oppressors to maintain control.
His message was a precursor to similar exhor-
tations he would deliver to students at historically
Black colleges and universities.
When we leave here tonight, you will know
what to do with your life and how you can de-
velop the gift that God has already placed in
youcultivate that gift and use it for the libera-
tion not only of our people, but all of humanity,
said Minister Farrakhan.
On March 10, Minister Farrakhan addressed
hundreds of Black student leaders from a dozen
college campuses throughout California at the
Afrikan Black Coalitions 2012 conference on the
campus of the University of California at Berke-
ley.
Thousands of students at Alabama A&M
University in Huntsville, Alabama welcomed the

On April 12, he spoke to hundreds of students,
but not on the grounds of Tennessee State Uni-
versity as originally planned. Administrative and
bureaucratic hurdles were erected however once
again, the efforts could not prevent successful de-
livery of a powerful word.
When Minister Farrakhans caravan arrived
at LeMoyne-Owen College in Memphis, Tenn.,
April 14, college President Johnny B. Watson was
waiting to ofcially welcome him to the campus.
Remarkably, it was the rst time the Minister had
been publicly welcomed by an HBCU president.
Then, the Minister traveled to the University
of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and spoke to thousands
at the H.O. Clemmons Arena April 16. His ap-
pearance was part of the Empowering the Next
Generation of Leaders lecture series at UAPB,
an 1890 Land-Grant HBCU with nearly 4,000
students.
An enthusiastic crowd of over 3,000 inside
Southern Universitys Felton G. Clark Activity
Center greeted Minister Farrakhan Oct. 3, as he
praised SU as a great institution of learning val-
iantly attempting to prepare young Black students
for a productive future, though it faces nancial
challenges like many Black educational institu-
tions across the country.
He then traveled to Charlotte, N.C., for the
Nation of Islams commemoration of the Holy
Day of Atonement and 17th Anniversary of the
Million Man March. On Oct. 12, the Minister
visited the campus of Johnson C. Smith Univer-
sity.
College students from across the country
gathered at Tennessee State University in Nash-
ville, for the rst Collegiate Black United Sum-
mit International conference Oct. 31 to Nov. 2.
If we lose you, we have no future. Thats
how important you are to the future of our peo-
ple and thats why they have made it very dif-
cult for Louis Farrakhan to come to speak to
young Black students, he said.

The Final Call
G
reetings to you. I am Minister Louis Farrakhan,
National Representative of the Honorable
Elijah Muhammad, and Representative of The
Nation of Islam. The Eternal Leader of The Nation
of Islam is the Honorable Elijah Muhammadthat
Great Preacher of Freedom, Justice and Equality to
the Aboriginal People of the Earth, the Dark People
or Black People of the Western Hemisphere, and
the Dark People of the world. He is a Warner to the
United States of America and the American people, and
a Warner to the nations of the Earth.
This is our 6th broadcast message on the subject
given to us by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad titled,
The Time and What Must Be Done. We dened
each of these words in previous broadcasts; but one
of the words whose meanings I wanted to deal with is
the meaning of the word Time: A measurement of
intervals that gives you the knowledge of The Time.
What we are looking at in The Knowledge of The
Time is the ending of a world of evil and mischief, and
the coming in of a New World based on Truth, Freedom,
Justice and Equality. This New World is to be governed
by a Government of Peace Headed by God Himself, and
His Christ.
The Great Mahdi (The Self-Guided One), Who
comes to guide all humanity back to the Straight Path
of God: He comes to end the squabble between
religions regarding Which one is right? Which
one is more right? Which one is truth? And the
Honorable Elijah Muhammad teaches us that there is
no religion that does not contain some truth, but that
what is demanded today is a religion that is all Truth.
So the Bible teaches that this Christ gure would
be so powerful in His Knowledge of The Truth that
there would be the ending of all divisionnot only
in religion, but there would be the ending of all articial
barriers that keep human beings from The Oneness of
The Human Family.
The Systems of Belief which form
The Foundation of The New World
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught us that the
Holy Quran only takes us up to The Judgment of the
world, so the Holy Quran is a Book of Guidance and
Preparationbut not guidance for those who dont
wish to eschew [guard themselves against] evil! This is a
Book of Guidance for those who want to do righteousness!
The Holy Quran introduces itself in the opening verses
of Surah 2 Al-Baqarah (The Cow) in this manner:
This Book, there is no doubt in it, is a guide to those who
keep their duty, Who believe in the Unseen and keep up
prayer and spend out of what We have given them, And
who believe in that which has been revealed to thee
Muhammadand that which was revealed before thee,
and of the Hereafter they are sure. These are on a right
course from their Lord and these it is that are successful.
This is to teach us that when this Jesus comes into the
world, his Message cleans us up from the debacle of
a world ruled by Satan, and it washes us clean in The
Life that he is taught to live! And that is why the scripture
teaches in the Book of John, Chapter 14, verses 5-7, that
when Jesus was asked by a Disciple, Lord, we know not
wither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus
responded: I am The Way, The Truth and The Life.
I am The WayI am The Methodby
which you will exhaust The Knowledge of The Time;
I am The Life to show you The Good to do in
such a Time, that you will not experience loss;
I am not a Truth, I am The Truth that the
whole world told you would come at the end of this world!
Jesus prophesied of One coming after him in that same
name of Jesus, and that this One would be The Spirit of
Truth Who would guide us into all Truth. That One is
on the scene today.
***
T
he Holy Quran also speaks of itself in these
terms; that it is a Book of Purication in
that it washes us from the mischief-making
of The Mischief Maker; it is a Book that clears up
the misunderstandings between the various religions
of the world; it is a Book that destroys the articial
barriers that divide the People of God, one from
another; and, that it is a Book that exalts the common
thread between all these religions.
But the Holy Quran also tells us that there is
no other religion that will be accepted by God in
that Day except the religion of Islam. Again, the
Holy Quran takes us up to The Judgment of this
world, and not beyond. The Bible does the same,
for the Bible ends with the prophecy of 144,000 on
a new shore, singing the Song of Moses, a new
song of Freedom! However, neither of these Books,
Bible and Holy Quran, give you The Guidance for
that New Existence in that New World. This is why
the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said to us that there
will be a new Islam, for the Islam that we have is
an Islam that prepares you for The Hereafter.
In The Hereafter we dont have to talk about
homosexuality. In The Hereafter we dont have
to talk about the wickedness that brought about the
destruction of Noahs people. In The Hereafter we
dont have to talk about the wayfarer, the robbers
17 February 26, 2013
The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad
and the thieves that brought about Prophets of God
to end their behavior. In The Hereafter we dont
have to talk about oppressors and slave masters.
None of that will be in existence in The New World!
So theres going to be a New Guidance, and the
Honorable Elijah Muhammad said that Guidance
will rest on The Eternal Principles that are The
Basis of The Teachings of all of The Prophets.
The No. 1 Principle is that Principle of Belief
in The Oneness of God; The Belief in His angels,
The Belief in His scriptures, The Belief in The
Judgment, The Belief in The Time, and, The Belief in
Righteousness. All of these Systems of Belief form
a Foundation on which will be placed New Wisdom,
New Guidance and New Knowledge.
***
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad told me that
The Guidance for that New World will not come as
long as this world is in power. So as it is written
in the Book of Genesis, Chapter 3, verses 22-24,
when the serpent deceived Adam and his eyes
came open, and The God threw the serpent out of
The Garden lest he put his hand to The Tree of Life
and become gods as we, and live forever And
as the Bible teaches us in the Book of Malachi,
Chapter 4, verses 1-6, Satan and The Wicked
will neither have root nor branch, but will be
destroyed completely
Satan, Im sorry, this is your end. This is the
end of your civilization. There is no way, Satan,
that you can redeem yourself! Little devils that
you have made have a chancebut you must be
totally destroyed.
I am happy to announce The Destruction of Satan,
because he has raised so much hell on our planet!
Measuring the intervals of signs showing The
Deliverance of a People is fast approaching
R
emember, our subject is The Time and What
Must Be Done. If a New World is coming,
and a New People have been chosen to bring
in that world, then here are two questions we must
answer: How can we measure how close we are to
The Birth of that New World? and How close we are
to The Deliverance of The People of God for that New
World? It is similar to the deliverance of a baby.
When a woman is pregnant with new life, the womb
expands to accommodate the new lifes growth and
development. In that growth and development
inside the womb of a mother: That baby takes from
the existing body to feed itself, and to grow itself into an
independent existence. So the new little one growing in
the womb has its own head, its own heart, its own lungs,
its own brain, its own feet, its own arms
Well, that new one yet has to form; has to grow! And
when that womb can no longer hold that life, two things
may happen in order to facilitate its birth:
1. If the mother does not give up the child naturally,
then oft times the child must be taken from the mother.
This method may be a C-Sectionbut, the child must
be delivered.
2. But if it goes the normal route, then at
the appropriate time you measure the intervals of
contractions, and you measure the centimeters of the
vagina; and if the centimeters are such that you can
tell, Uh-oh! The birth is on the wayand there is
a show, the water breaks, and there is an issue of
bloodthen the head that was once where the feet
were: That head turns down toward the opening, so
that the head might forge the way for this new life.
The latter is to teach us about leadership: Thieves
and robbers came before Jesus, so at one time Jesus
might have looked to the people as the foot. But when
it came time to deliver the people, The Head had to come
into its Rightful Position. And, so it is in The Birth of a
Nation, or The Birth of a New World, or, The Birth
of a People out of The Connes of Oppression.
Study the Book of Ezekiel, Chapter 16, where the
scriptures are teaching of a baby that was born in an
open eld; where there was no one to swaddle the baby,
there was no one to salt the baby; the baby was polluted
in its own blood; and, there was no one to perform The
Duty of cutting the umbilical cord that would free that
baby from the mother. Then, along came a prophet,
who looked at that baby and said, Live! because in that
state, the baby would surely die.
So when someone came and saw the baby in that
condition, and said, Live, that person was going to
perform a Duty by that child that had never been done
by others, which was: First, to cut the umbilical cord;
second, to wash that baby from the pollution of the
blood, the afterbirth that had come down; next, to
salt the baby, then swaddle the baby; and then, the
baby had to be nursed to strength.
Well here we are, brothers and sisters! Let us look
at the intervals of our own Deliverance, because
we, The Black Man and Woman in America, are a
people like unto that baby in an open eld.
Remember what I said in Part 4 of this series of
lectures (February 2, 2013), that the time had come that
the people should be delivered; and that Isaiah The
Prophet said, Shall the prey be taken from the mighty,
or shall the lawful captive be delivered, because our
covenant with death would be disannulled, and our
agreement with hell will not stand (Isaiah, Chapters 28
and 49). Well, beloved Black People: Youve made an
agreement with the hell that youve suffered for 450
years; and youve made a covenant with death, meaning
you are in agreement with The Forces of Rebellion, even
though you know that your condition must change!
***
W
hen the question is asked in scripture, shall
the lawful captive be delivered, look at
you: Are you a lawful captive? The
Emancipation Proclamation was signed, and they said
you were set free, but has the umbilical cord been
cut? No. Has the blood, the life of slavery, been
washed away from your mind and your spirit? No. Are
you polluted in the life of a slave? Absolutely! After
150 years of so-called Freedom, we are still laying at
the foot of our former slave masters and their children,
begging them to do for us what we could, if we were
serviced properly, do for ourselves!
Are you bound? Are you a captive that must
be set free? Are you not only in a literal prison, but
in a spiritual prison, locked up in The Darkness of
Ignorance? Does not somebody have to do a service
to us? The umbilical cord between us and our former
slave masters and their children must be cut! And we
must be washed clean of the life that the slave master
had us living! That is a Duty that a Righteous Man will
perform for us, and that Man is styled in the scriptures
of the Bible as Jesus, The Messiah. He is styled in the
Holy Quran as Masih. This Jesus came into this world
to free the captive, to bind up the broken-hearted
not the Jesus of 2,000 years ago who was a sign
pointing to The One that would come at the end of the
world of Satan!
So in Ezekiel, this Son of Man comes by that baby
who is in a terrible condition in an open eld, and the
Son of Man said, Live! And when Master Fard
Muhammad came to The Wilderness of North America,
He saw us in a similar condition, and not only said
Livebut He proceeded to breathe Life into a Dead
People.
Master Fard Muhammad raised up Elijah
Muhammad, and taught him how to cleanse us from
the blood, the life that we used to live as chattel
slaves, and now presently live as free slaves, of our
former slave masters and their children. Live! He
saidand so today, many of us who have heard The
Teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad: Were
not the same old Negro that we were! We dont carry

on the same behavior that we once
did when we were polluted in the
life of slavery. We are not drunkards
anymore! We are not thieves! We are
not winebibbers anymore! We are not
murderers and con men as we once
were! We are not college people that are
using our learning to take advantage
of the unlearned! We are a different
kind of people!
I want us to see that The Jesus,
The Messiah that we are looking
for: He is in the world. And that
Messiah, Elijah Muhammad, is
my Teacher! And he has missioned
me to teach you exactly what he has
taught to me to give to you and to the
entire world!
I am not speaking to you of my
words, I am speaking the words of the
Honorable Elijah Muhammad that he
put in my mouthand I am faithful to
his word, take it, or let it alone! Look
at the intervals of your calamities:
Remember, Im telling you that God is
going to seize you with distress and
affliction, as The Minister is speaking to
you and warning you of The Time and
What Must Be Done! Its even closer
now than it was when the Honorable
Elijah Muhammad was among us, for
I can say itand before you can give
the lie to what I say, youll see exactly
what I said coming to pass! But it is not
I that you should be focusing on! It is
Who I represent!
Now, The Pope says that he is The
Vicar of Christ; that, The Pope is
seen, but Christ is Unseen. Well,
if he is the true Vicar of Christ, then
whatever The Pope says will come to
pass. That is not so. The Pope can
pray for peace, but there is no peace
coming. There is no peace coming
until The Peace-Breaker is exposed and
broken in War.
But what I say to you, In The Name
of The Two that back me: It will come
to pass! And soon all of you will come
to know it.
JUSTICE: The watchwordfor
America as she continues to suffer
ever-increasing calamities
Now, what are The Intervals of
Time? Mothers, when you go to the
hospital because the water has broken,
and the issue of blood has been seen;
and the centimeters in dilation of your
cervix are getting more and more in
preparation for birth, and you start
having labor pains, look at the intervals
between the pains. Well, the first one
will come, and its a hard one! Then
you get a little breather. And then a
second one will come; and youll get a
breather But the closer you get to
birth, those pains get quicker and
quicker and quicker; and more severe!
Sometimes so severe, that the mother
would wish death would come to her, to
relieve her of such burden.
Well, America: What about The
Calamities that you are facing now? As
I have warned you, from the Honorable
Elijah Muhammad: God is seizing you
now with distress and affliction
Black and White both, because both
are rebelling against God! When
Hurricane Sandy came and was doing
its job, Noreaster Athena was coming
right behind, so look at all the flooding
that took place in New York, and the
over 40,000 people throughout the East
Coast that dont have a place to lay their
heads. And before that calamity was
over, look at what started happening
on the West coast! And you have
forecast that more than two-thirds of
America will experience The Wrath
of snow and sleet, and hail.
Thats distress, thats affliction,
America! And more is coming.
***
America: I am not your enemy.
We are your best friend, because we are
warning you of what is to comeand
how you can save yourself and lessen
this distress! In this message, America,
I am informing you that there is a lot
that you can do better than what you are
doing; so, the watchword for you right
now is The Principle of Justice.
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad
said: Justice is that Great Principle of
fair dealing. But, America: Youre
not dealing fairly with the American
people. Youre certainly not dealing
fairly with Black people, or Brown
people. Youre not dealing fairly with
the people of Africa, and the people of
the third world; your policy is to cull 2-3
billion people from this Earththat is
not justice!
So, this Great Principle of Fair
Dealing, Justice: It is a Weapon that
The God would use in The Judgment of
the world! How does justice become
a weapon? The scripture teaches
in the Book of Obadiah, Chapter 1,
verse 15: As thou hast done, so shall
it be done unto thee, and as Jesus
said in the Book of Hosea, Chapter 8,
verse 7, that you sow the wind, but
you reap the whirlwindso all the
things that you have done around the
planet, they are going to come back
home to us, here in America.
However, the thing that is more
important than your policies abroad
is this: What are your plans for The
People that God, The Black Man and
Woman, whom God has chosen to be
His Own?
When we look at The Intervals
of Calamities: They are one behind
another. Do you know what its all
about? Its not about your policy
toward the Palestinians or Israel,
although thats important; and I will
go deeper into that subject in another
broadcast, God Willing. Nor is it about
birth control or these kinds of things
that youre putting on the people of the
third world to cull the populations
ofno! It is about your plans for The
Black Man and Woman of America,
because the more you plan to get rid
of us, rather than do justice by us,
youre hastening The Day of your
own doom.
I am not pleased to have to say
these things to you, but, look about
you! Look at what is happening to the
country! Look at whats happening
to the economy! Look at whats
happening to you as a people! Justice
is what you have to practice. And if you
refuse to practice justicefair dealing
with The Children of The Slavesthen
the end of your civilization is not only
in sight, it has entered America!
Just as The Last Plague of
Pharaoh that God brought to Pharaoh
was a plague of death, then I am sorry to
tell you: Death has entered America, as
well. Famine is on the way, pestilence
is on the way, terrific earthquakes are on
the way, all because some of the wise
of you know The Time, but you are
afraid to let us go.
Keep watching The Weather, The
Forces of Nature, for it is Time, now, that
the Black Man and Woman in America
must be delivered. It is Time, now,
that we should be set free. It is Time,
now, that you should help us to go for
ourselves. It is Time. And if you did it,
some of this stress, distress and affliction
that you are suffering would come off of
you; and then you could work on what
you have to do in the world.
A Solution to The Gun Problemin
America: Study The Example of the
Honorable Elijah Muhammad and
his followers
I would like to close this message
with something that you are wrestling
with right now, because if you dont
want to do it Gods Way, then you
are headed in a direction of anarchy,
revolution and war.
Inside of America today, there is
argument over the topic of guns:
Should we limit the sale of these assault
weapons to the American people?
While the National Rifle Association
(NRA) says, No, you should notits
not guns that kill people, its people
who kill peopleStop it. The people
with guns are the people that are killing
people! Thats why you dont send your
soldiers into war with a smile, you
send them with a gun, and you teach
them how to kill.
So now, here you are, bringing
soldiers back home with nothing for
them to do. Every day a U.S. soldier
is committing suicide: When they
come back home, they need help,
and that help, unfortunately, is not
always given to them. Yet, they, too,
are armed, and they know how
to shootand they are under great
distress from their service in Iraq and
Afghanistan. Well, they are coming
home, now What are you going to
do, America?
I said in a previous broadcast that we
must consider the context of the 2nd
Amendment: 1) You were just freed
in a war with your former masters of
England; and 2) You had just become
independent, and you did not, at that
time, have a well-regulated militia.
And so the 2nd Amendment says: A
well-regulated militia being necessary
for the maintenance of a free state and
the right of the people to keep and bear
arms shall not be infringed.
Well, you didnt have a well-regulated
militia then. Dont you have that now?
The people of America still have the
right to bear arms, but, what kind of
arms should they be allowed to have?
Since you have a well-regulated police
force, well-regulated state troopers, well-
regulated National Guard, well-regulated
federal troops; and you have a well-
regulated F.B.I., A.T.F. Thats
enough, dont you think, to keep the
peace?
But look at your people who are
dissatisfied with your government:
According to GunPolicy.org, the
number of privately-owned firearms
in Americathe estimated total number
held by civilians in the United Statesis
270 million. According to our research,
there are over 300 million weapons in the
hands of the American people. The rate
of private gun ownership in the United
States is 88.8 firearms per 100 people;
this means, then, that nearly all of the 315
million people in America have arms.
What are you arming for? Is it just
to protect your residence, your home,
your property? Some of the militias have
said that they are arming because they are
angry with their government, and they
feel that the government is robbing them
of the Constitutional guarantees of life,
liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
They see the erosion of democracy, and
the rise of fascism in the United States
government! What does this portend for
the future?
Well, you say that some of these
people that are doing this killing, theyre
mentally disturbed. But I want you
to consider this: How many mentally
disturbed people are walking the streets
of America in need of medication?
How many more have medication, but
they are not taking it? And, how many
are coming back from theaters of war in
a disturbed mental state?
When you have a savage people
who have lost The Knowledge of
themselves, and are living the life of
a beast: If you put guns in their
hands before you make them rational,
intelligent human beings, they will
resort to the gun whenever theres
disagreement or acrimony in settling
their problems.
Take, for example, the 500 deaths
that occurred in the inner city of
Chicago in 2012: Most were by illegal
weapons in the hands of people who are
not rational! Where did they get them?
Who brought them in? These weapons
are a means for your self-destruction,
brothers and sisters! You dont need
them. Vengeance belongs to God
and this little stuff that we are doing
cant equal a snowflake when God gets
ready to send down snow!
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad
gave a Solution to The Problem of
Guns to us who are followers of his
in The Nation of Islam: He told his
followers not to have so much as a pen
knifeso there are no weapons in
our homes. Why? So that whenever
theres disagreement in the house, or
disagreement in the mosque: We settle
our disagreement not with weapons
of war or fighting, but we settle
our disagreements with a rational
approach to finding The Truth as a
solution to our problems.
We are not perfect, but were
a long way from the savagery that is
being practiced in America among the
people. We are trying to show the world
that we are a people of peace.
***
Well, America, I think thats a good
example. Think about it, and lets deal
wisely with this gun situation. Think
about these kinds of assault weapons
that are in the hands of people who
could get angry in a moment over
the distress of The Decline of America,
and then resort to weapons. Black
people and White people: Cut down
these assault weaponsunless you are
planning to do evil; and, you need them.
I think if you study The Example of
the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and
his followers, youd find a reason to
think about a Change.
May God bless us to see The Good
in The Guidance of the Honorable
Elijah Muhammad and The Nation of
Islam. Beloved brothers and sisters,
until we meet again by The Grace of
God, I pray that you will be guided by
The Light of Understanding, and that
more peace and joy will come into your
lives because you are learning The
Time and What Must Be Done.

The Table Talks project began
Saviours Day 2009 with the rst
public release of recordings of
dinner conversations with the
Honorable Elijah Muhammad,
eternal leader of the Nation of
Islam.
The release of the information
was urged by the Honorable
Minister Louis Farrakhan to bring
these conversations to the world.
The Divine Dining Table
Talks with the Honorable Elijah
Muhammad was the rst release
followed by the 2 disc set Ask
Me Any Question, both included
transcripts released in limited
editions intended originally for
research by registered students of
the Nation of Islam.
The project was so well received
by the community that a forum of
grassroots community scholars
and students formed around the
project to support its rst phase
of development. The Table Talks
received such a wide range of
support within the Muhammad
family and the community that
the vision and scope of the effort
quickly grew to incorporate
education and awareness programs
and exhibits through college and
university presentations, historical

forums, and participation with
the Nation of Islams Historical
Exhibit.
Currently the Project has been
re-imagined and launched as a
comprehensive study with multi-
media components, a full transcript
book of released recordings,
and the audio documentary
series, which is representative
of only approximately six hours
of the archive of the Honorable
Elijah Muhammads Table Talks
dialogue. With more than several
hundred hours of recordings in
the archives yet to be made fully
available, still to be researched,
transcribed and re-mastered, I am
pleased to see that the Table Talks
Project has become rooted in the
community as a new primary
source of study for the words of the
Honorable Elijah Muhammad and
a resource for dialogue around the
history and profound impact he has
had on his followers and the world.
The response to the Table
Talks of the Honorable Elijah
Muhammad has been received by
Minister Farrakhan as a bearing of
witness for our time and should be
a required study for the laborers of
Islam.
The Table Talks of the Honorable
Elijah Muhammad has preserved
a wise, humorous, approachable,
dignied, and sincere man who
unequivocally did not waver in his
love and commitment to his people.
These recordings document that he
was the same person in public and in
private. In his principle disposition
and personality he maintained his
role as teacher and statesman.
My hope and desire is that this
form of documentation will inspire
our youth and community to engage
in sharing our history and bring
families of this generation back to
the experience of love, respect and
unity that only a meal with loved
ones can providesomething far
too uncommon among our youth
and families today.
Historians, researchers,
universities, and museums alike
have reached out to the Table Talks
project and the Honorable Elijah
Muhammad Commemorative
Center to express their interest in
and the value of the Project. Our goal
is to keep the Project a grassroots
effort and possibly engage larger
institutions once the Projects model
and vision have been rooted and
established rmly and is accessible
rst to our scholars and community.
In efforts to make the Table
Talks Project more accessible to
younger audiences, Table Talks has
developed a published discussion
series around the transcripts called
the Table Talks Journal, which
interviews pioneers featured in
Table Talks conversations about
their experiences. It provides
historical context and analysis of
Table Talks transcripts by our own
researchers and historians.
The interviews provide rsthand
reections from those present at
the recordings and give a personal
perspective within the context of
each experience. We began with
interviews with Mother Tynetta
Muhammad, wife of the Hon. Elijah
Muhammad; Minister Rahman
Muhammad of Atlanta, Minister
Farrakhan, and others.
We look forward to the Table
Talks Journal as a natural extension
for the research and study of the
Table Talks archives. Our goal is
to also make this archive available
online for researchers and historians
as primary source material for the
study of the life and legacy of the
Honorable Elijah Muhammad and
to continue to publish transcript
volumes and accompanying audio
series. This year we will release
a new disc in the series with the

2013
Saviours Day participants are in for another spectacular event as
the 2013 Nation of Islam Drill Competition gets underway. Drilling,
also known as the exercise of the gods, is a rousing and competitive
application of military discipline and unity practiced by the Fruit of Is-
lam (FOI), Muslim Girls Training and General Civilization Class (MGT
& GCC), the Jr. FOI and Jr. MGT. It is one of the central highlights
of the Saviours Day Convention. The Drill Competition will be held
Saturday, February 23, beginning at 3:30 p.m. 6:00 p.m., at the Chi-
cago Hilton & Towers, located in the International Ballroom. Overow
rooms for the competition include the Continental ABC Room, Waldorf
Room, Williford Room and Palmer House/State Ballroom.
The Nation of Islam Prison Reform
Ministry will host another exciting and
informative workshop at Saviours Day
2013 at the Hilton Hotel in downtown
Chicago. The theme for this years
workshop is the Cry of The Innocent
for Justice. The workshop will be led by
Abdullah Muhammad, the student national
prison reform minister for the Nation of
Islam. The Prison Ministry workshop
is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 23, at 1:30
p.m.
Panelists will consist of innocent men
who were freed by DNA evidence and
at least one attorney who has worked
to exonerate those who were unjustly
accused, convicted and jailed. Panelists
will include Andre Davis, served 32 years
before being exonerated; Juan Rivera who
served 19 years and Johnnie Savory, who
while free is ghting for the use of DNA
testing to prove his innocence. Mr. Savory
served 30 years.
Panelists will share their real life
experiences and the effects of wrongful

convictions on their lives, their families and
lives of those ghting to free the innocent.
There will be a question and answer period
which will allow for important audience
participation. The workshop was designed
to educate attendees about the reality of
wrongful conviction and the damage that
it can cause individuals and families in
particular with mental/emotional states
before and post-conviction. It will also
show how faith in Allah God and Yah Israel
provided strength until justice came. The
workshop also aims to educate attendees
about how DNA evidence began to be used
to exonerate innocent people.
Ms. Jane Raley, a senior staff attorney
with the Center for Wrongful Convictions,
has also been invited to participate.

Louis Farrakhan or help
ourselves, with jealousy and
envy in his/her hearts.
The rst time I heard the word
envy was in 1956, from the
Honorable Elijah Muhammad.
This is February 2013.
Minister Farrakhan has made it
very clear in the public that the
Honorable Elijah Muhammad is
very much alive and well before
this time. How is this fact related
to envy?
Below are Minister
Farrakhans words concerning
envy. I intend to make my reason
and/or purpose clear, at the end
of this series, why we must study
Minister Farrakhans words about
envy.
Of all the characteristics
of human beings that are bad
or wicked envy is the worst. It
has no redeeming qualities and
is wicked of all the negative
characteristics of human beings.
Envy has at its root a gross and
inordinate self-concept either on
the side of gross inferiority or
gross arrogance.
A proper self concept is vitally
necessary to have a balanced and
peaceful mind with contentment.
However, when one has low self
esteem this self concept breeds
friction and trouble.
For example, if someone
comes along doing that which we
believe we were the only ones
qualied to do, our self concept
is threatened. This produces
envy. Or, if someone believes
that he or she is the best at doing
a particular thing and someone
comes along and does it better,
our self condence is threatened,
producing envy.
Or, if someone sees another
Envy: A dangerous spiritual disease
person with a gift or talent that
gives that person honor and
respect and wealth, which is what
each of us as human beings may
want in life, our self concept are
being threatened, we develop a
covetous desire for the ends that
the talent brings out of envy.
And if we fail at that gift or
talent, our self-concept is further
threatened, turning envy into
murder.
Envy is so troublesome
because it causes the individual
who posses it to literally grow to
hate the person whom he or she
envies. The end product of this
hatred is the desire to murder the
person that is envied.
Envy makes its possessor a
devil, for the possessor of envy
becomes an active opponent,
adversary or enemy of the person
who is envied, generally without
a just cause. The envier can
mask envy with a smile, a warm
embrace or a kiss. The envier can
pretend to be the best friend of
the person who is envied, seeking
to learn everything that he or
she can about the person that is
envied to use it to bring about the
destruction of that person. This is
the action of a demon or devil.
History is full of the work of
the envier and the fate of those
who are envied. We need only
look to the Genesis of the Bible
to begin to see how envy forms.
Cain wanted to please Allah
(God) and so did Abel. Both
had a similar desire. Both had a
similar objective.
However, when Cains
offering was rejected and Abels
was accepted, Cain became angry
and envious with a sense of
vengeance. His self-concept was
threatened. He felt his offering
should have been accepted, if
not more so than his brothers, at
least equally.
However, the rejection was
so painful that this created hatred
and the hatred grew into murder
and made it easy for Cain to slay
his brother. We see this pattern
continued in a ne thread from
Genesis to Revelation.
When one is blessed, the
blessing creates in the heart of
some, envy and hatred and a
desire to destroy the blessing and
the blessed one.
Joseph, a beautiful human
being, involved a great future
for himself. Telling the dream of
his great future created envy in
his brothers. They went to work
immediately plotting against his
life.
The history of Joseph is the
story of every man and woman
of Allah (God). It is the story
of every gifted and talented
one who excels to some eld of
endeavor. Josephs story could
be your story or mine if your life
is lled with promise, causing
people to admire, honor, love
and respect you for your gift. The
more people love, respect, honor
and admire you; it produces the
exact opposite in a small group
whose intense hatred causes
them to seek the destruction of
the blessed one.
The evil of envy shows
up in the history of Jesus. It
is envy over his success and
accomplishments, which the
religious leaders of his day were
unable to accomplish. The envy
is what led the Jews and Roman
authorities to manipulate the
envy in the heart of Judas to
accomplish that which Allah
(God) ordainedthe betrayal,
trial, and crucixion of a Just
and Holy Man.
Envy was at the root of
the wicked of the opponents
of Prophet Muhammad. So it
is today. Envy is what keeps
Black leaders from uniting
and coming to a common table
of brotherhood seeking that
which is in the best interest of
our people in our quest for true
freedom, justice and equality.
Why (can) not we all come
in one room to determine what
is best for our people? No matter
what is said as a reason, the
root of that reason or excuse
is the wicked characteristic of
envy. Until and unless we can
uproot the evil of envy, we will
always be a prey in the hands
of our enemies who continue to
feed and create division among
us by manipulating this wicked
characteristic called envy.
I heard the Honorable Elijah
Muhammad say one day that he
knew how to get under envy, to
get at the root of envy and uproot
it. Unfortunately, he departed
from us before telling us how
this could be accomplished. I
shall attempt, however, through
my study of His Teachings and
the Bible and Holy Quran to
see how we can treat this terrible
spiritual disease that aficts
us to such degree that is makes
our future success limited and
doubtful.
The Honorable Elijah
Muhammad taught us that which
Prophet Muhammad taught His
followers, that we can not be
considered Muslims until we
love for our brothers and sisters
what we want for ourselves.
What is it that we,
individually, want for ourselves?
Dont you want the best for
yourself ? If your Brother or
Sister has the best and you do
not have it yet, should you not be
happy if your brother has what
you desire for yourself?
Think of everything that you
want for yourself and then want
it for your Brother and Sister. If
you can truly desire for others
what you desire for yourself you
will uproot the evil of envy.
Envy is hatred of Allah
(God). Envy is a subtle charge
that Allah (God) is unjust and
that Allah (God) has acted by the
envied as he should have acted
by the envier.
Therefore, hatred comes up,
however, we are not manifesting
hatred directly against Allah
(God), but it is being directed
at the one whom Allah (God)
appears to be blessing.
More next issue, Allah
willing.

And Allahs is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth.
And on the day when the Hour comes to pass, on that day will
the followers of falsehood perish. And thou wilt see every na-
tion kneeling down. Every nation will be called to its record.
This day you are requited for what you did.Holy Quran,
Surah 45, verses 27-28
In preparing this current article for The Final Call news-
paper, continuing on the theme of the Honorable Minister
Louis Farrakhans World Friendship Tour III, and my personal
reections, I must interject the following commentary on the
two striking near collision course of a meteorite explosion over
Russia in the Ural mountains bordering Khazakstan, and the
close encounter of an asteroids near collision with our planet.
This was reported over the last ten days with the recovery of
scattered glass and buildings and physical injuries in Russia
that has never been experienced before so close to a populated
urban area. What was this a sign of? The asteroid reportedly
came within a range of a little over 17,000 miles in its orbit
around our planet.
Simultaneously, a re broke out in the engine room of a
13-story famous cruise ship named, Carnival Triumph set
adrift in the Gulf of Mexico, some 150 miles from the coast of
Mexico. I pondered over the location of this ship that was near
the renowned Bermuda Triangle, often dubbed The Devils
Triangle. When the re was rst detected, I wondered if this
incident may have been connected to the ships location in
those waters. What tales of horror took place on board that
cruise ship unbeknown to even the passengers themselves?
What information will surface in this investigation directed
under the authority of the Bahamian Government? At the
same time that this accident occurred, our brother, Christopher
Dorner, was held up in the San Bernadino mountains in Cali-
fornia and was later found shot in the head in a cabin which
was set ablaze during his pursuit by the combined police force
of Southern California.
Are these acts of violence, murder and death plagues the an-
swer to a modern-day Apocalypse in conjunction with reported
events happening on land and sea and in the space above our
heads? The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhans 52-week
series for this year 2013 on, The Time and What Must Be
Done, is an answer to many of these questions. What was the
purpose of his World Friendship Tour III between 1996 and
1998? We are a part of a worldwide struggle to break asunder
the chains of mental and physical slavery and abuse.
This day culminates all of the Apocalypse prophecies re-
vealed in both Bible and Holy Quran, and marks the time of
the delivery of our people trapped in Satans world of decep-
tion, cruelty and manipulation? How is it happening that after
600 years we are witnessing the resignation of Pope Benedict
XVI in the Vatican? In addition to these startling news reports,
we are learning about the loss of prestigious Olympic sports
gures being charged in scandals involving murder and drug
addiction. Are these not signs of an Apocalypse?
How have the great heroes been vanquished, and what is
the destiny of the Western world with America at the helm of
The Kneeling: The Rise and Fall of Nations, the End of the World That We Have Known!
promoting wars and disunity to destroy the earths population
in this present rise and fall of nations? The role of the Hon-
orable Minister Louis Farrakhan is a warner of the impend-
ing doom of Satans world. Through his bold Declaration of
Truth, he is separating people and nations into groups for Di-
vine Judgment identied as Believers, Disbelievers and Hypo-
crites. If time is running out on this worlds diabolic schemes
of governance, who is bringing it to an end and what might we
yet expect to come?
The Holy Quran revealed in Surah 30, verse 41Cor-
ruption has appeared in the land and the sea on account of that
which mens hands have wrought, that He may make them
taste a part of that which they have done, so that they may
return.
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad has taught us that it was
suicidal for America to have forced our parents into servitude
slavery, bringing us from Africa in the hulls of putrid slave
ships drenched in our own urine, feces and blood where we
laid in chains packed together like sardines. Many of our fore-
parents, whenever possible, escaped from their captors and
jumped overboard and desired drowning before reaching these
foreign shores. What record has America and England, and
other European colonial powers that dominated the trafcking
of slaves hold as testimony of their inhumane treatment should
be placed in the International courts and Halls of justice? But
would this be enough to repay the damage, the deaths and the
crimes perpetrated against a whole people and nation?
Traveling with the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan
in his World Friendship Tour III in 1997 and 1998, I realized
that the only window of opportunity that was left open to re-
unite our lost people in America with our brothers and sisters
in the East (Africa, Asia and the world over) was provided and
divinely inspired to the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan
immediately following the Million Man March in 1995. To-
day, the Great Dragon and Serpent, the Devil, has nearly swal-
lowed up the entire world of our original people breaking them
into pieces sanctioning war and political intrigues to divide us
beyond our imagination.
Country by country that he visited on those tours are all
but completely destroyed. Many of our Black clergy and so-
cial leaders in the community thought that our minister was in
error and had lost an opportunity to galvanize and reinforce
unity in our communities among our people following the
monumental Million Man March by traveling overseas. They
did not have his Divine Mission as conferred upon him by the
Honorable Elijah Muhammad as his National Representative to
the world in making an attempt to unite our people of our lost
nation in the West with our people in the East.
As we continued our travel with the Honorable Minister
Louis Farrakhan to Arabia during Ramadan, to the Emirates,
to the Phillipine Islands, Indonesia, and India (Bangladesh), to
Palestine, Jerusalem, to Mali and Timbuktu, to Libya, Egypt
and Tunisia, to the Belgium Congo, Uganda, the Sudan, South
Africa, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, a few islands near Madagascar,
to Russia and Siberia, as well as Central Asia, he was raising
a liberation army of spiritual warriors through the expression
of the Divine Word likened to Genghis Khans rebirth in our
contemporary times, to warn and reprove the people before
Gods great chastisement to come.
We are witnessing everyday with increasing intensity how
Almighty God, Allah, answers prayer of the suffering masses
as a result of what mans hands have wrought.
Surah 30, verse 42Say: Travel in the land, then see
what was the end of those before! Most of them were polythe-
sists. Then set thyself, being upright, to the right religion be-
fore there come from Allah, the day which cannot be averted:
on that day they will be separated.
This is Our record that speaks against you with truth.
Surely We wrote what you did. Then as to those who believed
and did good, their Lord will admit them to His mercy. That is
the manifest achievement.Holy Quran, Surah 45, verses
29-30
To be continued.

taneously over Russia and a near orbit of an asteroid 17 thousand

The Salaam is back! After a 12-year hiatus,
the Palace of the People reopened for business
last year on the weekend of July 6 and 7! The
rebirth of Salaam restaurant, the $5 million
newly-renovated Nation of Islam built facility
nestled in the heart of the Auburn-Gresham
community on Chicagos southwest side, offers
a family atmosphere along with delectable
cuisine.
The Salaam includes three restaurants under
one roof: A bakery, the Crescent Caf and Fine
Dining. That means a choice of coffee and
pastries, casual dining, or a special night on the
town in the upstairs dining room.
Local community leaders, clergy, politicians
and business professionals joined the
Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan for pre-
grand opening events, including an ecumenical
prayer luncheon June 27 and a special evening
of elegance July 1.
Keeping in line with the Economic Blueprint
of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad
which that stresses Black people pooling
resources, opening businesses and doing for
self, Minister Farrakhan explained why the
Salaam is in the heart of the neighborhood.
I have been criticized by well-meaning
people for putting such a beautiful place in
the heart of the so-called ghetto. I was told,
A place as beautiful as this should be located
downtown, said Min. Farrakhan. We love
our people and the best is not good enough so
we put the Salaam exactly where we wanted it
to be. We wanted it to be a Palace for the People
and it is just that, explained the Minister.
Please join us at Salaam before, during and
after Saviours Day!

1981 THROUGH 2012
SAVIOURS DAY
HIGHLIGHTS
1981 Rebirth of a Nation
February 22, 1981, thousands joined the Hon-
orable Minister Louis Farrakhan at the Auditorium
Theatre in Chicago, Ill., for the rst Saviours Day
gathering since he stood to rebuild the work of the
Honorable Elijah Muhammad in 1977. Min. Farrakhan
also announced to the world that the Honorable Elijah
Muhammad was in fact physically alive.
1982 Black Survival in These Un-
certain Times
Nearly 7,000 Muslims, Nationalists, Christians,
Hebrew Israelites, Socialists, and Pan-Africanists
voiced their support of Minister Farrakhans historic ef-
forts to raise up the Black man and woman of America
during the three-day convention held Feb. 26 through
28 at the Conrad Hilton Hotel in Chicago, Ill.
1983 Methodology for Liberation
and Salvation
Saviours Day 1983 was historic for a variety of
reasons. First, it was held in Gary, Indiana where there
was a Black mayor, Richard Hatcher. Secondly, this
was the rst Saviours Day celebration held outside
the city of Chicago. The theme of Saviours Day 1983
Convention was Methodology for Liberation and
Salvation
Min. Farrakhans keynote message delivered on
February 27 was heard by thousands as he spoke on
the subject ASaviour is Born for the Black Man and
Woman in America. He also announced the Blacks
were saviours, plural, of one another and changed the
1981
spelling to reect that reality.
1984 Unity: A Weapon More Powerful
Than Nuclear Bombs
Over 12,000 joined Minister Farrakhan and the
Nation of Islam to celebrate Saviours Day 1984 in
Chicago at the McCormick Inn and at the Richard
L. Jones Armory. The 1984 Saviours Day conven-
tion is remembered for the establishment of the unity
between freedom movements and independence
struggles worldwide as well as coming at a time of
increased tension and controversy with members of
the Jewish community regarding Minister Farrakhans
support of the historic presidential run of Rev. Jesse
Jackson.
1985 Power, At Last Forever
On February 24, 1985, Minister Farrakhan and
the Nation of Islam convened an International Sav-
iours Day at the Richard L. Jones Armory in Chicago,
Ill. POWER, AT LASTFOREVER was the theme
as the Minister called the entire Black nation to eco-
nomic rebirth.
1985 P.O.W.E.R.: People Organized
and Working for Economic Rebirth
By Abdul Wali Muhammad
Originally published in The Final Call
The sidewalks around Madison Square Garden
were transformed into a pulsating mass of men and
women: young, old, professional, unemployed, stu-
dents, White and poor, as thousands amassed at the
Garden to hear the message of Minister Louis Farra-
khan on October 7 in New York City.
Billed as the last lecture of the P.O.W.E.R. (Peo-
ple Organized and Working for Economic Rebirth)
tour in North America, the event had been the center
of controversy in New York for more than a week, and
the turnout of over 50,000 people proved that Minis-
ter Farrakhan had ascended to a position with Black
people unmatched in Black leadership circles.
Although police on bullhorns and the loudspeak-
ers system of the Garden prematurely broadcast
that no tickets were available, by the time the lecture
began two hours late, of the 50,000 people gathered,
nearly 30,000 got inside the Garden and the adjoin-
ing Felt Forum where the lecture broadcast on giant
video screens.
The scene at the doors to the Garden was cha-
otic. People pushed and shoved to ensure that they
would get in. When told that they could not take cam-
eras or tape recorders inside, people actually threw
them away rather than lose a place in line.
A chant of Farrakhan, Farrakhan, Farrakhan,
began and the crowds actually surged right through
the doors, tearing them off the hinges. Yet, there was
no ghting or arguing among the people. The com-
mon goal was to get inside to hear the message of
P.O.W.E.R. At Last Forever.
1986 A Tribute to the Honorable Elijah
Muhammad
Nearly 9,000 people gathered at the Pavilion of
the University of Illinois at Chicago on the 89th birth-
day of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad to honor him
for his tireless efforts to uplift Black people in America
and the World.
Sister Ava Muhammad read a proclamation from
Chicago Mayor Harold Washington declaring October
5, 6 and 7 as Tribute to the Honorable Elijah Muham-
mad Days in Chicago. There was a surprise appear-
ance by Imam Warith Deen Mohammed, son of the
Honorable Elijah Muhammad.
1988 The Overwhelming Event
On October 9, 1988, over 12,000 gathered un-
der the tent on the grounds of the National Center of
the Nation of Islam in Chicago to hear Minister Far-
rakhans Saviours Day message titled The Over-
whelming Event.
The Muslims had embarked on a massive and
rapid fundraising drive to repurchase the mosque and
school at 7351 S. Stony Island Avenue and another
property built by the Hon. Elijah Muhammad. Minis-
ter Farrakhan wanted to ensure every detail was just
right, not just the external edice of the building, but
also those who would worship within the doors of
the edice. The opening of the National Center was
rescheduled for February 1989.
1989 The Dawn: A New Beginning
On February 26, 1989, Minister Farrakhan
dedicated the repurchased and renovated mosque at
7351 S. Stony Island Avenue with a royal ceremony
and inspired address matched only by the lofty pur-
pose for which the building was destined.
Over 15,000 gathered at the National Center for
the dedication of Mosque Maryam, a former Greek
Orthodox church designed with inuences of the
great mosques in Turkey. The National Center was
originally purchased in 1972 by the Honorable Elijah
Muhammad and repurchased by the Nation of Islam
under the leadership of Minister Farrakhan pursuant
to a contract signed with the American Muslim Mission
under the leadership of Imam Warith Deen Moham-
med on January 16, 1988.
Saviours Day 1989 Stop
the Killing
On October 23, 1989, Minister Farrakhan de-
livered the Stop the Killing message to a capacity
crowd of over 12,000 at the Washington, D.C. Armory.
On October 24, 1989, Minister Farrakhan spoke to the
media at a press conference at the J.W. Marriott Hotel
2013

in Washington D.C. and told the world about the experience that he
had on The Wheel.
1990 Stop the Killing Detroit
Minister Farrakhan returned to the birthplace of the Nation of
Islam to a rousing welcome as he addressed 20,000 people. The
welcome mat was rolled out by Mayor Coleman Young who issued
a proclamation designating October 7th, the 93rd birth date of the
Honorable Elijah Muhammad as Hon. Elijah Muhammad Day. Minis-
ter Farrakhans Saviours Day message was delivered at the historic
Joe Louis Arena.
1991 Who Is God?
On February 24 at Christ Universal Temple in Chicago, Ill., Min-
ister Farrakhan delivered a message dealing with Point No. 12 of
What the Muslims Believe which states: We believe that Allah (God)
appeared in the Person of Master W. Fard Muhammad, July, 1930;
the long awaited Messiah of the Christians and the Mahdi of the
Muslims. We believe further and lastly that Allah is God and besides
Him there is no God and He will bring about a universal government
of peace wherein we all can live in peace together.
1991 The Black Man Must Do For Self, or Suffer
the Consequences
A deafening roar rose to the rafters of the University of Illinois
Pavilion in Chicago, Ill., as 10,000 people jumped to their feet to wel-
come the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan to the stage during
the Oct. 7 Saviours Day Tribute to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.
After thanking the audience for their overwhelming support, Minister
Farrakhan shocked the audience by revealing that he recently had
been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Minister Farrakhan reminded Black people of the emphasis of
the Honorable Elijah Muhammad on Black people beginning to fulll
their own needs and launched the 3-year Economic Savings Plan as
a model for Black economic development.
Minister Farrakhan also presented the book The Secret Re-
lationship Between Blacks and Jews compiled by the Historical
Research Department of the Nation of Islam, which documented
Jewish involvement in the Transatlantic Slave Trade.
1992 Black and White: A Solution to the Race
Problem
On February 23, Minister Farrakhan delivered his keynote mes-
sage for Saviours Day 1992 titled Black and White: A Solution to
the Race Problem. Four thousand listeners were at Christ Universal
Temple in Chicago to hear the message in person, while another
4,000 were turned away because of lack of space.
1992 A Torchlight for America
Thousands of followers and supporters of the Honorable Min-
ister Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam gathered on October
18, 1992 for the annual commemoration of the life and teachings of
a Black man who left an indelible mark on the Black community and
Americas psyche.
Minister Farrakhans appearance in Atlanta was surrounded by
controversy sparked protests by Jewish organizations that pressured
Mayor Maynard Jackson and Governor Zell Miller for ceremonial let-
ters welcoming Min. Farrakhan and participants in the weekends
activities. Both letters were rescinded in response to the outcries of
the muscular Jewish lobby.
Despite that, outdrawing a game of the World Series taking
place on the same day, 55,000 came to the newly built Georgia
Dome to hear the Minister deliver a message titled ATorchlight for
America.
1993 The Honorable Elijah Muhammad
and Malcolm X 28 Years Later: What Really
Happened?
On February 21, the exact day of the assassination of Malcolm
X some 28 years prior, and at the height of the controversy surround-
ing the release of the lm Malcolm X, Minister Farrakhan spoke on
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad and Malcolm X 28 Years Later:
What Really Happened?
Ten-thousand listeners at the University of Illinois Pavilion, in
Chicago, were enlightened as Minister Farrakhan defended the
integrity of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and his personal life.
Wives of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, some for the rst time,
publicly spoke about their husband and his honorable behavior to-
wards those women he married.
1993 Healing the Wounds
On October 9, 1993, Min. Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam
held Saviours Day in Los Angeles, California. Minister Farrakhan
came to the West Coast to speak on Healing the Wounds. Sixteen-
thousand came to the Los Angeles Sports Arena to celebrate a truce
among many of the most notoriously violent gangs who had been
trying to hold the peace treaty together.
1994 The Guide and the Guidance for These
Troubled Times
Controversy surrounded Minister Farrakhans Saviours Day
1994 message The Guide and the Guidance for These Troubled
Times on Feb. 27. The previous night, Minister Farrakhan had ap-
peared on The Arsenio Hall Show. Under tremendous pressure from
irate Jewish organizations and television industry executives, Arsenio
Hall welcomed Minister Farrakhan to the show to allow the late-night
viewers to hear directly from Minister Farrakhan instead of listening
to what others say about him.
In a bizarre series of events, the Simon Wiesenthal Center
actually tried to pressure television stations not to air the show. Mr.
Hall told The Final Call that he had received death and bomb
threats as well. After a tremendous snowstorm in Chicago, Minister
Farrakhan arrived on stage at the University of Illinois Pavilion to the
cheers of over 10,000. Minister Farrakhans face was on the cover
of Time magazine. Minister Farrakhan held up the magazine embla-
zoned with his picture with the headline Ministry of Rage. This is
not a ministry of rage; this is a ministry of love and a ministry of divine
truth, said Min. Farrakhan.
1994 Fullling the Vision of the Hon. Elijah
Muhammad
The Saviours Day Convention of 1994 fullled the vision of the
Honorable Elijah Muhammad as an audience of 30,000 in Black Star
Square in Ghana on Oct. 9, and a satellite audience viewing interna-
tionally numbering in the millions saw Black people in America make
the Saviours Day pilgrimage to celebrate the rst International Sav-
iours Day in Accra, Ghana.
President Jerry John Rawlings welcomed his longtime friend
Minister Farrakhan and 2,000 Blacks from America as they returned
to the Motherland from whence their ancestors were stolen.
1995 Jesus Saves: Who Will Save the Black
Man?
On February 26, 1975, members of the Nation of Islam gath-
ered at the International Amphitheater in Chicago to mourn the de-
parture of their leader, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.
Twenty years later, Minister Farrakhan delivered a message
titled Jesus Saves: Who Will Save the Black Man? in preparation
for the upcoming Million Man March to the 15,000 who had gathered
there to hear him.
The four-day celebration included several highlights: The New
Salaam Restaurant and Bakery complex opened with a full service
dining area, take out and bakery service center. The rst National
Vanguard graduation and awards celebration was held. Minister
Farrakhan announced an economic plan aimed at repurchasing the
1,600 acres of farmland once owned by the Honorable Elijah Mu-
hammad and the Nation of Islam and he also ofcially announced
the planned Oct.16 Million Man March.
1996 Guidance and Instruction For the Year 2000
and Beyond
Thousands gathered at the University of Illinois Pavilion on
Feb. 25 as Minister Farrakhan defended his recent 16-nation World
Friendship Tour that was characterized by critics as cavorting with
dictators and was condemned by the U.S. Government because
the tour included ve African and Middle Eastern nations considered
outlaw or rogue governments.
The 38-day tour took him and the 35-member delegation
throughout most of Africa and the Middle Eastincluding Turkey,
Saudi Arabia and Malaysiathe U.S. State Department took excep-
tion to the visits to Iran, Iraq, Libya, Nigeria, Sudan and Syria.
1997 Obey God
Thousands poured into the University of Illinois Pavilion with
thousands more lling the Amphitheater across town as Minister Far-
rakhan delivered a message that will forever be remembered for the
admonition to Obey God.
Aparade of African and Islamic Heads of State spoke via satel-
lite to those at the 1997 Saviours Day convention. Cubas Fidel Cas-
tro and political leaders in Jamaica and Dominica sent congratulatory
greetings read by Brother Akbar Muhammad. Colonel Muammar
Gadha of the Libyan Jamahiriya, Sani Abacha of Nigeria and Flt. Lt.
John Jerry Rawlings sent greetings via video.
1998 What is Islam?
Despite logging nearly 60,000 miles of air travel to 37 countries
in close to 85 days, Minister Farrakhan ashed a triumphant smile to
the 20,000 who gathered at the McCormick Convention Center on
February 22 to hear his Saviours Day message, What is Islam?
Minister Farrakhan had just returned from his World Tour III as
he stepped on stage dressed in an emerald green robe trimmed in
gold embroidery, a matching fez and shoes.
Minister Farrakhan proceeded to uncover the layers of manipu-
lation, deception and control used to dominate global realities.
Among the countries visited by Minister Farrakhan and his del-
egation were Nigeria, Niger, Mali, South Korea, Cuba, Libya, Saudi
Arabia, Ghana, Russia, Palestine and Iraq.
In Dagestan, within the former Soviet Union, Minister Farrakhan
told the crowd of the instructions from a radio tower air trafc con-
troller that if followed by the pilot would have resulted in their aircraft
crashing into a mountain and certain death for those on the plane.
Minister Farrakhan was joined by longtime friend Kwame Ture
and Elmer Geronimo Pratt who was released from prison on bail
last year after serving 27 years for a murder he did not commit. He
also welcomed Muhammad Aziz, a man wrongly imprisoned for over
20 years for the murder of Malcolm X.
1999 An Apologia
After explaining his recovery from an illness which caused him
to lose 20 pounds in just eight weeks which medical doctors could
not accurately diagnose, the Minister delivered a passionate speech
which contained a theological defense of Master Fard Muhammad
and the Honorable Elijah Muhammads methods and message
to Black people in America. It was an Apologia presented to the
20,000 gathered at the McCormick Center in Chicago.
2000 A Celebration of Family
On February 27 many of those gathered at the United Center
in Chicago, Ill., witnessed an incredible sight: Imam Warith Deen
Mohammed and Minister Farrakhan together speaking at Saviours
Day. Both men embraced in a demonstration of unity before a crowd
of 25,000.
2001 Make Straight in the Desert a Highway for
Our God
Minister Farrakhan appeared Feb. 25 before a standing room
only crowd of 4,000 at Christ Universal Temple in Chicago. Thou-
sands more watched via satellite as he warned of Gods Judgment
against America.
2002 Healing the Wounds to Bring About
a Universal Family
Americas insatiable appetite for oil is pulling the country into
ruin, Minister Farrakhan told more than 14,000 people at the Great
Western Forum in Los Angeles during his February 17 World Sav-
iours Day 2002 address titled Healing the Wounds to Bring About
a Universal Family.
Some of the notable personalities present were NBAgreat Sha-
quille ONeal, former NBAforward now television commentator John
Salley, Congressional Black Caucus member Maxine Waters and
Native American activist Wauneta Lonewolf.
This Saviours Day also featured a West Coast Gang Summit
hosted by radio and TV personality Steve Harvey. It brought together
many of the leaders of LAs most well-known street organizations.
There was also a West Coast Hip Hop Summit at the Four Seasons
Hotel in Beverly Hills bringing together many of the notable artists
from the West Coast such as DJ Quik, Marion Suge Knight, Mack-
10, The D.O.C and Kurupt. Russell Simmons and the Hip Hop Sum-
mit Action Network worked to bring the voices of West Coast Hip Hop
together in an effort to urge the rappers, label executives and music
moguls to promote peace.
The weekend featured a spellbinding performance of The
Beethoven Violin Concerto by Minister Farrakhan at the Cerritos
Center for the Performing Arts. For Saviours Day 2002, The Final
Call also produced a special commemorative magazine highlighting
Minister Farrakhans 25 years of rebuilding the Nation of Islam.
2003 America at the Crossroads: War Is Not The
Answer
With America on the brink of war with Iraq, Minister Farrakhan
delivered a nal pre-warning heard by the capacity crowd at the
University of Illinois Pavilion and those viewing in 100 satellite loca-
tions across America, the Caribbean, Europe, Canada and Central
America on February 23, 2003.
2004 Reparations: What Does America and
Europe Owe? What Does Allah (God) Promise?
On February 29, Minister Farrakhan challenged the European
and the United States governments to give Black people full justice,
or face Gods judgment in his keynote address titled Reparations:
What Does America and Europe Owe? What Does Allah (God)
Promise?
2005 He Came That We
May Have Life
As the Nation of Islam moved towards the 10-year commemo-
ration of the Million Man March, Minister Farrakhan delivered a mes-
sage of guidance that brought together different ideological streams
and schools of thought about how to solve the problems affecting
Black people in America and oppressed people worldwide. Minister
Farrakhan spoke at Christ Universal Temple, in Chicago.

Surrounded by an atmosphere of intense love and excitement,

of Islam. The weekend featured a Family Reunion Dinner hosted
by Minister Farrakhan as he invited all the Believers to break bread
together. Nearly 6,200 Muslims dined at the McCormick Place con-
ference center, and nearly 2,500 who could not be accommodated
received a complementary dinner at the Salaam Restaurant.
2007 One Nation Under God
February 26, 2007 marked the 130th birth anniversary of Master
W. F. Muhammad. In Detroit, where He started the Nation of Islam
among the descendants of slaves in America, the Nation returned to
its roots. Though still recovering from an intense 14-hour surgery in
the rst week of January, Minister Farrakhan delivered a message of
unity and responsibility at Ford Field to a crowd of over 40,000 in a
message titled One Nation Under God.
2008 The Gods at War: The Future is All About
Y.O.U.th
Minister Farrakhans keynote address during the Nation of Is-
lams annual Saviours Day Convention held February 24, 2008 at
the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, Ill. was titled,
The Gods at War: The Future is All About Y.O.U.t.h. which stands for
Youth Organized and United To Help.
During his message delivered to over 20,000 in attendance
and a worldwide audience viewing via internet webcast, the Minister
said positive words regarding then-presidential candidate Barack
H. Obama. Some mischief makers in the media tried to say that he
endorsed Mr. Obama, while still other in the media erroneously re-
ported that Min. Farrakhan called Mr. Obama the Messiah.
2009 Accept Responsibility to Build Our Com-
munity
Minister Farrakhan delivered a message of guidance to the
faithful and a warning to the countrys governmental rulers at a time
when America is confronted with the gravest challenges it has faced
since becoming a nation, during his Saviours Day 2009 message
commemorating 132 years since the birth of Nation of Islam founder,
Master W. Fard Muhammad.
Standing and sounding strong for the duration of a dynamic
three-and-a-half hour message on the subject, We Must Accept
Responsibility to Build Our Community a beaming Min. Farrakhan
addressed a combined crowd of nearly 10,000 at the Rosemont
Theater and the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill. Many

message delivered since the election of Americas rst Black presi-
dent, Barack H. Obama.
2010 The Time and What
Must Be Done

Time and What Must Be Done at the United Center in Chicago Feb.
28, 2010 told the crowd of more than 18,000 that the old world is
going out, and a new world is coming in.
2011 God Will Send Saviours
The tumult the world is witnessing in Tunisia, in Egypt, in Libya,
in Bahrain is headed to America, Minister Farrakhan warned thou-
sands during his annual Saviours Day address at the Allstate Arena
in Rosemont, Ill.
During an over four-hour lecture in which Minister Farrakhan looked
and sounded strong throughout, he informed the audience that this
is a time of waras it says in the scripturesand the time of the
deliverance of Gods people is at hand. Over 16,000 watched live
with thousands more global viewers over the internet.
Saviours Day 2012 What Will 2012 Bring to
America, the World and Black and Oppressed
People
In what was one of the most anticipated Saviours Day lectures
ever, Minister Farrakhan kept the capacity crowd spellbound for over
four hours delivering analysis and insight into the pressing issues fac-
ing the world today.
Theres a degree of danger attached to telling the truth to those
who have been deceived by lies and falsehood. Theres a degree of
danger that every prophet had to meet in a world ruled by Satan, but
the prophets never shrank from their duties to deliver the message,
said Minister Farrakhan. For 44 years, the Honorable Elijah Muham-
mad never ever took a back step in delivering the message that he
received from the great Mahdi Master Fard Muhammad, and being
a follower of his, I cant take a back step in delivering the message,
and I seek Allahs protection in delivering that message, he added.

nations.
This year at our annual Saviours
Day convention we are joining with
Mother Khadijah Farrakhans Childrens
Village and having a We Are All Relat-

pow wow dancers and utist. We will also
have live young Native artists to paint mu-
rals and artwork, which will be available

Throughout the Nation of Islams his-
tory, the believers have interacted and
developed friendships with tribal and La-
tino leaders throughout the country. We
will have a 20-minute movie that will show
pictures of believers that have unied with
the indigenous people. The We Are Re-
lated live exhibit will also feature speeches
by Minister Farrakhan when he visited the
Navajo Nation and his speech on the unity
of the Black and the Red. Because this is

What The Muslims Want
This is the question asked most frequently by
both the Whites and the Blacks. The answers to this
question I shall state as simply as possible.
1. We want freedom. We want a full and complete
freedom.
2. We want justice. Equal justice under the law.
We want justice applied equally to all, regardless of
creed or class or color.
3. We want equality of opportunity. We want
equal membership in society with the best in civilized
society.
4. We want our people in America whose parents
or grandparents were descendants from slaves, to be
allowed to establish a separate state or territory of
their owneither on this continent or elsewhere. We
believe that our former slave masters are obligated to
provide such land and that the area must be fertile
and minerally rich. We believe that our former slave
masters are obligated to maintain and supply our
needs in this separate territory for the next 20 to 25
yearsuntil we are able to produce and supply our
own needs.
Since we cannot get along with them in peace and
equality, after giving them 400 years of our sweat and
blood and receiving in return some of the worst treatment
human beings have ever experienced, we believe our
contributions to this land and the suffering forced upon
us by White America, justies our demand for complete
separation in a state or territory of our own.
5. We want freedom for all Believers of Islam now held
in federal prisons. We want freedom for all Black men
and women now under death sentence in innumerable
prisons in the North as well as the South.
We want every Black man and woman to have the
freedom to accept or reject being separated from the slave
masters children and establish a land of their own.
We know that the above plan for the solution of the
Black and White conict is the best and only answer to
the problem between two people.
6. We want an immediate end to the police brutality and
mob attacks against the so-called Negro throughout the
United States.
We believe that the Federal government should intercede
to see that Black men and women tried in White courts
receive justice in accordance with the laws of the landor
allow us to build a new nation for ourselves, dedicated to
justice, freedom and liberty.
7. As long as we are not allowed to establish a state or
territory of our own, we demand not only equal justice
under the laws of the United States, but equal employment
opportunitiesNOW!
We do not believe that after 400 years of free or nearly
free labor, sweat and blood, which has helped America
become rich and powerful, that so many thousands of Black
people should have to subsist on relief, charity or live in poor
houses.
8. We want the government of the United States to
exempt our people from ALL taxation as long as we are
deprived of equal justice under the laws of the land.
9. We want equal educationbut separate schools up to
16 for boys and 18 for girls on the condition that the girls be
sent to womens colleges and universities. We want all Black
children educated, taught and trained by their own teachers.
Under such schooling system we believe we will make
a better nation of people. The United States government
should provide, free, all necessary textbooks and equipment,
schools and college buildings. The Muslim teachers shall
be left free to teach and train their people in the way of
righteousness, decency and self-respect.
10. We believe that intermarriage or race mixing
should be prohibited. We want the religion of Islam
taught without hindrance or suppression.
These are some of the things that we, the Muslims,
want for our people in North America.
What The Muslims Believe
The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad
1. WE BELIEVE in the One God Whose proper
Name is Allah.
2. WE BELIEVE in the Holy Quran and in the
Scriptures of all the Prophets of God.
3. WE BELIEVE in the truth of the Bible, but we
believe that it has been tampered with and must be
reinterpreted so that mankind will not be snared by
the falsehoods that have been added to it.
4. WE BELIEVE in Allahs Prophets and the
Scriptures they brought to the people.
5. WE BELIEVE in the resurrection of the
deadnot in physical resurrectionbut in mental
resurrection. We believe that the so-called Negroes are
most in need of mental resurrection, therefore, they will
be resurrected rst.
Furthermore, we believe we are the people of Gods
choice, as it has been written, that God would choose
the rejected and the despised. We can nd no other
persons tting this description in these last days more
than the so-called Negroes in America. We believe in
the resurrection of the righteous.
6. WE BELIEVE in the judgment; we believe this
rst judgment will take place as God revealed, in
America.
7. WE BELIEVE this is the time in history for the
separation of the so-called Negroes and the so-called
White Americans. We believe the Black man should be
freed in name as well as in fact. By this we mean that
he should be freed from the names imposed upon him by
his former slave masters. Names which identied him as
being the slave masters slave. We believe that if we are
free indeed, we should go in our own peoples namesthe
Black peoples of the Earth.
8. WE BELIEVE in justice for all, whether in God or
not; we believe as others, that we are due equal justice as
human beings. We believe in equalityas a nationof
equals. We do not believe that we are equal with our slave
masters in the status of freed slaves.
We recognize and respect American citizens as
independent peoples and we respect their laws which
govern this nation.
9. WE BELIEVE that the offer of integration is
hypocritical and is made by those who are trying to
deceive the Black peoples into believing that their 400-
year-old open enemies of freedom, justice and equality
are, all of a sudden, their friends. Furthermore,
we believe that such deception is intended to prevent
Black people from realizing that the time in history
has arrived for the separation from the Whites of this
nation.
If the White people are truthful about their professed
friendship toward the so-called Negro, they can prove
it by dividing up America with their slaves.
We do not believe that America will ever be
able to furnish enough jobs for her own millions of
unemployed, in addition to jobs for the 20,000,000
Black people as well.
10. WE BELIEVE that we who declare ourselves to
be righteous Muslims, should not participate in wars
which take the lives of humans. We do not believe this
nation should force us to take part in such wars, for we
have nothing to gain from it unless America agrees to
give us the necessary territory wherein we may have
something to ght for.
11. WE BELIEVE our women should be respected
and protected as the women of other nationalities are
respected and protected.
12. WE BELIEVE that Allah (God) appeared in
the Person of Master W. Fard Muhammad, July,
1930; the long-awaited Messiah of the Christians
and the Mahdi of the Muslims.
We believe further and lastly that Allah is God
and besides HIM there is no God and He will bring
about a universal government of peace wherein we
all can live in peace together.

While it is wise to follow the advice of
weather experts and political leaders in
an emergency, the best course is to follow
the divine warnings coming through Min.
Farrakhan from the teachings of the Hon.
Elijah Muhammad. Heeding such wise counsel
can save lives, alleviate some suffering and
possibly delay Americas doom. Failing to
heed the call to change and turn from her
wicked ways only means this countrys woes
will escalate. If you dont believe that is true,
simply continue to watch the weather.
