GUIDANCE SERVICE

1. Information Services
This refers to the intentional and purposive delivery of information to students; the primary purpose of
which is to enable students to use the said information to reasonably guide their choices and actions inside and
outside the school. Modes of delivery of information include dissemination through bulletin boards, postings,
brochures, orientation, meeting and consultation.
Information service may also deliver to the students through students routine interview, admission
evaluation interview and other modes of communication between the school personnel and the students.

2. Individual Inventory
This refers to the process of accumulating and analyzing information about students on an individual
basis through the use of an inventory forms. Data solicited may include demographic information, academic
records and other personal need and problems. Data may be used to check for students who may need
counseling or specialized guidance services and to inform the development and enhancement of student
services.

3. Testing
Consistent with the objective of being able to assess relevant educational data from students, a testing
program is designed and implemented. The testing program aims to help the students gain understanding of
their needs and personality, to realize their potentials, to identify their strengths and weaknesses, and to know
the implication of these.
4. Counseling
This service aims to assist students in gaining deeper self-understanding and awareness of ones
problems and the effective use of the decision process by formulating alternatives and projecting consequences
of each that allow students to review critically what has taken place.
It also refers to the purposive interaction between student and counselor, individually or in group where
the needs, problems, or difficulties of the student are shared, examined, and processed with the end goal of
empowering the student to effectively manage his concerns.

5. Career Services
This refers to the set of services specifically designed to assist students in their career planning and
choices.
It is a developmental program designed to assist students in making and implementing informed
educational and occupational choices. Through some material containing information about school programs
inside and outside the country are available in every Guidance office.
All graduating students are being prepared by the series of career talks by experts in the different field of
occupational endeavors.

6. Placement Services
It assist student in making transformation for themselves and also they should focus on giving
information, advice, helping the student to create relationship and counseling in the face of interpersonal
conflict or problem of the client.

7. Training Seminar
It is designed to help students discover their innate ability and talents as well as develop their emotional
intelligence.

8. Follow-Up
This refers to the formal and systematic monitoring of the individual progress of current students who
have undergone academic advising, counseling, placement and any special intervention program.

9. Linkages
It refers to the evaluation, activity reports and communication of results of studies, researches, evaluation and
data for the continual development of the program and services.
