path: IMG -> Cross appliation components -> SAP Product ->
settings for product types -> Deactivate Product types.

want to displays.
2. Define system message characterstics for product
if you wanted to matinain some of fileds are manditory for
product it can be controlled through System message characterstics.
path: IMG -> Cross Application components -> sap products ->
Basic settings -> Define Characterstics of System messages.
3. setting up Numbe ranges for Materials.
path: IMG ->Cross application components -> SAP PRoduct ->
settings for product types-> No range assignment -> Define
No ranges for Product Material
click on Maintain(groups change) select Group menu and Insert

and save it...after saved select Material Category (Mat_roh,Mat_Fert)
and click on assingn element group
Note: Material No range group must be selected..
Enhancement
SAP PRoduct functionality has offer in generic which will fit
for all the types industrics, sap has not offered any specific
industry thatwhy being as function consultant we need to gather
the requirement of product enhancement and need to captured in the system.
1. Attributes: Characterstiscs of the Product.
2. Set type : collection or group of the similar attributes.
3. Category: Categorrized similar products.
4. Hierarchy: Every company will be delas various type of the
prodcuts , al lthese type will be maintained in sap as Hiearchy.
