A. INTRODUCTION

1. The History

Elite English School is a private business which was established in 1999 by Mr.
Syahari. At the first time, this course doing the activity from door to door because
limited in place and the tutor. They started with only two classes. After couple years
later, by the spirit of manager and all of the members now it has grown and has over
200 students, 15 teachers. Their mission is to help people of all ages speak English
better. The main focus is on developing speaking and listening.
Elite English School open classes not only elementary children but also junior and
senior high children, student of university and general people that want to improve
their English competence and also class for people who want to go overseas
especially work. But this course is dominated by junior high children and senior high
children.

4. Vision and Mission
Vision: creating skilled learners and high personality.

Mission: improving learners quality through skill and coaching that appropriate with
peoples need.
5. Instructor: Elite has 15 tutors and 5 employees. The recruitment strategy of tutors
through written test and teaching test/ micro teaching. There is no special standard of
education background for the tutors. Undergraduate students can be a tutor in Elite if
they are qualified like as Elite wanted to. The applicants must pass the test before
they can be a tutor. Beside that there is no written contract for the tutors.

Target learners: there are no numbers of target learners
Recruitment: recruitment program through passing out the brochure of Elite at
schools or at certain events.
7. PR
- Elite has some events. One of them is reading story and telling story contest. The
contest will be held at certain school. This also promotion strategy of Elite beside
brochure.
- Elite collaborate with an institution in Australia to incur native speaker to teach in
Elite.
8. Facilities
- Elite English School has pretty good facilities. Every class is completed by air
conditioner, fan, LCD projector.

- Every class also has many pictures in the wall with English description.

B. DESCRIPTION
Elite English School is designed specifically to provide learners needs in English
language skills correctly and well and trains the students in developing their mental,
character and politeness also trains the psycho motor through interactive activities in
class, so students are accustomed to think creatively, fast and responsive.
Elite English School as an English course institution also has experienced
employees. They always service the learners, parents and children that want to enroll to
Elite English School, administration, certificate and other. Elite English School is
requesting a volunteer who can provide the teachers with new ideas and methodology;
suggest ways to improve teaching methods to foster better relationship between the

students and teachers; work with the teachers to improve their English oral, reading and
writing skills and to help improve the current curriculum.
Elite as an English learning place has some program to improve the quality of the
learners in speaking English. One of the events that always held every year is Reading
Story Contest. The tourists that are visiting Ponorogo are involved to be the judges in
that event. This is the specialty of Elite English School. It always involves native speaker
so that the learners can learn English directly with native speakers.

Program
Elite English School has four programs:

REGULER:
This program teaches speaking (CONVERSATION ENGLISH). Learners are placed
base on the ability and divided at 3 levels: Beginner, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, and
Advance level. This program held 3 months for each level by 2x meetings a week.

PRIVAT GROUP :
This program is preparation program for the national examination. This course is
offered to students from elementary classes, junior high school and senior high school.
Field of study in this program is Mathematic and English. active communication
(English for general communication), English for School Lesson (English as subject).
The duration is twice weekly for 6 months and max 4 student @ class.

SPECIAL PRIVATE PROGRAM
In this program the students are free to choose the material such as conversation or
active communication, schools subject, preparation test for entering school or applying
job vacancy, etc. the duration is one month (can be longer) and twice meeting a week.
TOEFL/TOEIC PROGRAM :
This is a special English program designed for professionals working in both government
and private industry. This program held to test learners for getting TOFL / TOEIC certificate,
Entering university (S1, S2 S3), and applying job etc.

The Curriculum Used In Elite English School
The curriculum used is the combination from school (formal)syllabus (40%) and
the material from Elite itself (60%). Elite School in teaching and learning process
focused on speaking or conversation and listening. The concept of learning and studying
process by using joyful learning that makes the students fun studying there. This concept
makes the Ponorogo society interested going to Elite English School that is why they let
their children study there.
To support the goal of this course, Elite collaborates with the course from Australia.
So, through that collaboration, elite incurs native speaker from Australia to teach the
learners periodically for more than 6 months. It is one of the points that distinguish Elite
English Course with other English courses in Ponorogo.

C. CLOSING
Seeing the Ponorogo societys need, it is better for Elite English School to provide
