TITLE: Life Away

Dear Friends,
"Apkabink Europa" intends to apply with an exchangeproject in Erasmus+, Key Action 1,
Youth Exchange, withabackground themeonmigration.
Through this call we invite all association interested in the project proposal to become
our partner.
DETAILS OF THE PROJECT:
Venue: Countryside tourism homestead Kotrynos Sala http://www.kotrynossala.lt/ Alytus
region, Lithuania
Period: 06-13 October 2014
Partners: EUCountries +Partner countries neighboringtheEU.
Working Language: English
Conditions: eachpartner must send 7 participants +teamleader aged from 18 to 30.
Durationof the activity: 7days; includingtravel
All participants will be provided with accomodation and food for the whole
duration of the exchange, as well as with covering of visa costs (if visa is
required). T ravel costs will be covered using following rules of Erasmus plus
programdistance calculator:
For travel distancesbetween10and99KM: 20EUR per participant
For travel distancesbetween100and499KM: 80EURper participant
For travel distancesbetween500and1999KM: 170EURper participant
For travel distancesbetween2000and2999KM: 270EURper participant
For travel distancesbetween3000and3999KM: 400EURper participant
For travel distancesbetween4000and7999KM: 620EURper participant
For travel distancesof 8000KM or more: 830EURper participant
DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:
The youth exchange Life away aims to bring together young people from different
countriesandgive themtheopportunitytoperformvarioushands-ongroupactivities related
tothethemeof migration.
Through different activities (simulations, role play, presentations), participants will
exchange good practice and know-how their possible solution, emphasizing on migration.
Theexchangewill followthefollowingobjects:
To focus on the consequences of migration and reflecting on the practice of migrant
integrationandinclusionin Europeancountries;
Tosharebestpracticeintacklingmigration, integrationandinclusioninyouthwork;
Exchangeof experienceand good practice in youth work, related to international/local
migrationandmobilityanditsinfluenceonyoungpeopleinEurope;
Preparing youth workers and youth leaders in addressing the challenges and
opportunities resulting frommigrationfor youngpeople/societyasawhole;
Raising the competence of youth workers and youth leaders about the push and pull
factors of migration and causes and consequences of migration and how to prevent
negativeeffectsof migration(suchasdiscrimination) insociety;
Promoting European cooperation between youth organizations, promoting youth
mobility and support engagement youth with immigrant backgrounds in participating
Organizations activities;
Providing informal learning opportunities with a European dimension and creating
innovativeopportunities inconnectionwith active citizenship, especially for the young
people with fewer opportunities throughthedevelopment of new initiatives inthefield
of migration and mobility for young people within the framework of the Youth in
Action Programme.
