DearcomradesoftheWorkers'PartyofBelgium,

OnbehalfofGeneralSecretaryAhmadSa'adat,DeputyGeneralSecretaryAbuAhmadFuad,the
PoliticalBureau,CentralCommitteeandallcadresandmembersofthePopularFrontfortheLiberation
ofPalestine,weextendoursincerecongratulationsonyourelectoralachievementofover250,000
votesacrossBelgiumandtheelectionof8PTB/PDVArepresentativestotheBelgianFederal
Parliament,theWalloonParliamentandtheBrusselsCapitalRegionParliament.

TheWorkersPartyofBelgiumhaspresentedafirmpositionindefenseoftheworkingclassinBelgium,
rejectingausteritymeasures,inequalityandracism,anddemandingsocialjustice.Atthesametime,
theWPBhasconsistentlypracticedinternationalsolidarityonaprincipledbasis,includingclear
supportfortherightsofthePalestinianpeopletojustice,liberationandreturn.

TheWorkersPartyofBelgiumhastakenaleadingroleinstandingagainstIsraeliaggression,
occupationandwarcrimesagainstthePalestinianpeople,andinchallengingimperialistwarand
intervention.YouhavecalledforfreedomandjusticeforPalestinianpoliticalprisoners,includingour
imprisonedGeneralSecretary,AhmadSa'adat.AshundredsofPalestinianprisonersaretodayrisking
theirlivesonhungerstrikeforover35daysdemandinganendtotheracistpolicyofadministrative
detention,imprisoningPalestinianswithoutchargeortrial,suchinternationalsolidarityisparticularly
critical.

TheWPB'snewpositioninParliamentwillgivetheWorkersPartyanevenstrongerandloudervoice
forjusticeforworkingclassandoppressedpeoplesinBelgium,Palestineandinternationally.It
representsgrowingresistancetothepoliticsofausterity,racismandexploitation,whichhavebeen
accompaniedbyEuropeanUnion"freetrade"andotheragreementswiththeIsraelistateasit
continuesitscrimesagainstthePalestinianpeople.InternationalboycottandisolationofIsraelisa
necessarytoolofinternationalsolidaritytosupportthePalestinianpeople.

WesalutetheWPB'sgroundbreakingelectoralsuccesses,andlookforwardtocontinuingtostrengthen
ourrelationshipofmutualsolidarityascomradelyparties,workingtowardafutureofjustice,liberation
andsocialisminBelgium,Palestineandinternationally.
