Deliberate? It is certainly a bug, but I don't have the right tin foil hat to
fall in line with that "deliberate" suspicion. I have no issue receiving texts
via my iPhone or iPad mini.

I had the same problem when I switch to Android in September 2013. It
took a few days to realize I wasn't receiving messages from iPhone users
and at least a month before they started coming in again. Customer
support was useless and they couldn't care less.
