Good morning Mrs.

Couper, I would like to thank you for the opportunity of being

considered for the position in this prestigious professional service firm Ernst and
Young. This position interested me when I came across it in The Ernst Young website
which is currently running an advertisement for the Graduate Program 2020. You will
find that my background and experience directly meet the needs of this company
and I am confident that my personality suits this position as well.

I have been very impressed by all the reading and research I have done about Ernst
and Young. This company has a consistent and outstanding reputation
internationally for quality professional services, integrity and community
commitment all qualities I am very keen to align myself with. Additionally, I have
heard that Ernst and Young offer a challenging work environment that expects a
great deal of problem solving from employees and gives them the opportunity to
realise their fullest potential. That is what I look for in an employer an active,
creative learning environment where I am limited only by my capabilities and where
positive results are acknowledged. I see great potential for growth here and I want
to be part of it.

My personal experience has allowed me to understand how the field of accounting
can benefit not only corporate companies, but also the general public. A clear
example is the experience from the scholarship study exchange program where I
attended the National University of Singapore in the second semester of 2017. This
offered me a direct exposure within an Asian and global context, which allows me to
experience real life scenarios, dealing with data on an international scale. Presently I
am completing my bachelor of Commerce/Law as seen on my resume, and my
average GPA reflects my hard work and commitment to the task

A list of my skills is given on page 4 of my resume, and now I would like to take this
opportunity to show how these skills can benefit this company. As listed I am
proficient in both French and Mandarin; this means that I am tri-lingual and also
means that I am able to handle to a larger variety of clients, compared to those who
are mono or Bi-lingual. I have necessary Computer skills, and am proficient in using
any of the Microsoft Office software. The most necessary of my skills are my strong
organisational and interpersonal skills which had been reflected in my past work. As
you will also see from my resume, my legal practice experience required me to
manage multiple tasks simultaneously, to follow up on various tasks, and to report
on project progress at a moments notice to various stakeholders. My financial
experience in GE Money has helped me to develop customer service skills, and inter-
personal communication skills and how to serve a wide variety of people. In each
instance, I assessed their needs and how the company could address them most
effectively. Both of my referees will be able to inform you of my success while
working under their management.

My personality is reflected in my strong dedication to society by volunteering to visit
the local Nursing Home and Special School regularly, as well as acting as a Qualified
Justice of the Peace to serve the community. This is also a reflection of my
approachable characteristics and compassionate attitudes which is displayed
towards the customers.

As you can see on the resume, I was involved in the young explorers ICT team in
2012, which produced the award winning computer program which aimed to aid
youths in understanding how proper finance is important in everyday lives. This
experience required a lot of teamwork, dedication, and leadership on my part, and
also produced the bed rocking structure of why I choose this path.

This graduate program would allow me to utilise practical skills and deliver quality
service to your clients and am eager to be part of the EY team. Again I would like to
thank you for the opportunity to talk to you and I look forward to joining the EY
team in the near future.
